@@TheRoseGeek when you show gardens without music I feel as if I walk with you. I love your comments when you see something interesting.😍 I do the same walking with my friends😉 I have a small collection of roses ( 75 different ) in my garden in Poland ( zone 6b) and I am well impressed when I see yours😀 by the way I have Hidcote Blue Lavenders in my garden😉
Just breathtaking! I have to say these garden tour videos are among some of my favorite I've ever watched on youtube, just spectacular! Thanks for bringing us along
I just want to thank you for sharing your garden updates. I just love to watch them There is always so many new things to learn from each other. I also love to garden and make gardening videos too. I would love to learn more from each other as we grow!
Hidcote is my favorite place in England. We’ve been to England 9 times in the past 12 years and 6 of those holidays we’ve managed a Hidcote day ( sometimes out of the way- but a must visit). Your video sure does help soothe a Hidcote gardener’s soul. 🌳🌷🌳
Stunningly gorgeous gardens. Loved the opulence of it's biodiversity but, there was one rose that stood out for me today. Creamy rose with a light caramel center. Absolutely loved it and, I love all roses!!! 💚🥀💚
A few days ago, I had just watched a wonderful documentary on Hidcote Manor and the gifted Major who designed the grounds with such artistry and imagination. Then you DELIVERED the Hidcote garden tour in its beautiful glory. Thank you for taking the time to share this wonderful garden with those of us who would love to see it in person. This is the next best thing to being there!
@@TheRoseGeek I do not recall the sheep in the documentary as it is more of a historic documentary. You may have seen it before as it is on RUclips. It is entitled the Quiet American Gardener. RUclips name is Gardening Forever. Thanks for sharing your visit AND the David Austin tour. You made my week! Enjoy your time!
14.28 there is a huge big leave monster plant with white plumes on the right , I wonder what that is.. interesting plant that takes so much volume and space ... and also on the left is white bell shaped spiked looking flowers which I saw in purple as well, - what a beauty , we don't have that here where I live, in MN
This is my absolute favorite bucket list garden!! I saw the National Garden Scheme and Great Gardens of Britain videos of this. Just magnificent. Major Johnson also had a beautiful home and garden on the French Riviera . Thank you so much for showing this!
wow!!! simply stunning! thank you so much for such a wonderful garden tour, you did a fantastic job of filming . there were a couple of flowers I was like wow, whats that, never seen it before !?!
This garden is famous for a reason. It has everything. I love the contrast of the riotous cottage flower borders with the formal parterres, long allees, and topiary. I hope to visit it one day. Cousins live in West Sussex, so Sissinghurst will be on the schedule too.
I loved Hidcote a tad bit more. It may be due to weather conditions which were better (not raining) when we visited. They’re both gorgeous in their own, unique ways.
I love it because is like a giant cottage garden, looks natural, swathes, swirls and satellite planting and o my mind, roses always better amongst companion plants :-)
So far, this has been my favorite garden. beautiful and a lot of diversity of plants. You took your time with this one. Definitely saving this one for inspiration. Thank for sharing.
I can see why Hidcote is considered THE premier garden in Britain. Those borders are superb! And the plant selection sublime to a rare plant connoisseur like me. I recognised Carpentaria californica the Tree Anenome just inside the entrance to your right at the beginning of your video & there was another elsewhere. Despite your single minded pursuit of roses you occasionally have managed to show other magnificent plants, mostly in passing, but I thank you for your efforts.
Magnificent !! So well organized yet so natural. No word to describe the utmost respect I have for whoever designed it. Thanks, Kim, another wonderful view you brought to us.
Thank you so much for sharing and allowing us to see soo much. It was lovely listening to tbd sounds of nature,?/: we were there too. Thank you so much. Great video.
I’m pretty certain that yellow wall shrub to the left of the stairs where you ascend through the red lacquer doors is Cytisis battandieri aka the Pineapple broom. I’m thrilled to see it in full flower.
Magnificent!!! Beautiful!!! Such a peaceful place. Everything so easy on the eyes. Love this garden, the roses, the combination of plants, the path, cottage garden style, the design in general is so beautiful. Thanks for this great video!!!!!!!!
This garden was huge. A lot of walking to see it all. Beautiful. Was this the largest garden that you had gone to on your trip to England? I love all of the shapes of the yew and the grass paths and lawns. The sweet pea flowers. Roses were beautiful as well. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely wonderful. The lighting makes the blooms just glow with saturated color and the gardens are all such beautiful works of living art. The roses are really so at home in all the mixed borders. I actually really appreciate how they’ve spaced them out. They are so opulent and lush, your eye is given the chance to view all the different structures, contrasts of height, growth type and form before coming upon another beautiful rose. I miss pale hardy fuchsia I used to see in gardens back in Washington. Thank you so much for sharing 💚
I liked the cottage style garden.. I enjoyed the room where you saw the house structure in the background. Lovely feeling in general. Loved the arbor created from tree branches. Dove or pigeons cooing was sweet. The bench under the rose arbor would be a great reading spot. A sweet and peaceful place.
I know it’s weird and not the point of the video but the footstep sounds are just👌🏼🤤 🤓 and I love the feeling of being ‘invisible’ while looking around 😅
Thanks for showing this to those of us unlikely to ever get there, it was a lovely immersion experience. However I do long to know the names of the roses and other important perennials shown. I'll have to find a book that will describe it in more detail.
@@TheRoseGeek Yes, it's often an issue even here in Australian gardens. I just borrowed a stack of books on English gardens from the local library, there may be some info there. Thanks again for the films anyway, they are still an absolute joy to watch! Better than the books!
Wonderful. We are making a short comedy film and need some garden footage playing on a TV in the background for about 10 sec. May we have permission to use a clip? Many thanks for considering.
@@TheRoseGeek take a short walk along the road away from kifsgate, over the bridge and just on the right in a small wooded area is a wonderful waterfall. So peaceful to sit and hear the sound of the water.

What a treat to watch this tonight as we approach the shortest days of another winter. You have captured the garden at its peak. Many thanks !
Thank you for watching! I am hoping to take another trip this year and will certainly to try to catch a video for you.

Nice walk. But you are moving the camera much too fast. Look at walking Alice. She is a pro.
too bad the camera is moving way too fast to actually see anything
