- Women form half of India’s population and make enormous contributions to its economy, yet they lag behind in almost all socio-economic indicators. How to ensure women have access to equal resources and opportunities?
The documentary provides practical ways in which sectoral plans and budgets can be made gender responsive. The video captures exemplary work done in India by the Department of Science and Technology and Department of Agriculture and Cooperation at the Union (local) level. The experiences show that how in the two so called ‘women unrelated’ sectors, gender issues have been recognized and addressed in sector policies and programmes. At the level of State government, the documentary covers the initiatives taken by the Kerala State Planning Board and highlights gender targeted programmes in sectors such as Public Works Department and Police. To capture these experiences, interviews were conducted with officials of the Departments at the Union and State level and women's testimonies were collected from the field.

A video accurately showing the situation for women in India, and no comments after 4 years of sitting here. Meanwhile, youtube is cluttered with videos trying to make a point that feminism is unfair to men, and the conversation is robust in its support of the plight of men. The world is hopeless.

3. You're making yourself look bad by saying this. Why are you here if you don't like the video? No one is forcing you to watch this, as no one is forcing us to watch the videos on how the men view the situation.
4. If english is not your first language, try going back to your home language youtube server?
I can understand that some men may feel this is unfair on them, and some men are good people. But everything told in this video is true. This problem DOES go both ways.
Great video i needed this ,was informative ,im glad to see something good,im a white man in the usa ,who fights for womens empowerment ,my focus is india,and ive been doing my part everyday , my friend works for a place in kerala,but that location has no room so she takes train a day or so to banglore to live at her job in a room i also see my mumbai friends have trouble packing in womens train and the commute home and back onr way 2 hours 30minutes one way travel thats difficult life there,only reason im happy now is the video is postive news

Equality then why you need reservation 👎
Equality is only in terms of number(population). That is also less, like 934 per 1000 men. Today due to reservation, SC,ST are getting good jobs. Likewise, reservation is needed for women as well. Some are highly intelligent who don't need reservation but those who seems like they are not, they are also talent. Only the talent needs to be found out from a different angle and that needs reservation.
