if you decide to start a new pleasantview series I recommend limiting the amount of kids each household can have! I try to limit 2-3 kids per sim/couple unless one is a family sim and then they’re able to have up to 4 kids. It sucks because all family sims will have a wish to have 10 kids after their third child but logistically it’s not even worth it considering you also have to play those sims as they age up to adults. I actually think gameplay becomes much more fun and engaging when you only have a few kids because you’re able to focus on the sims themselves and get to know them. It’s also much easier to create storylines for each sim when you don’t have 10 of them running around. That’s just my suggestion but it’s made my gameplay a lot more interesting!
In my game, Don Died. He was making himself something to eat, he used the microwave but he went outside to flirt with a random girl that was outside his house. The microwave set on fire. Don's house doesn't have a fire alarm and don didn't realise his house was on fire until it was already out of control. He went on, realised the house was on fire, tried to fight it but couldn't. Tried to ring the fire brigade but the phone was next to the microwave where the fire started lol so inevitably, the girl ran off, Don died. Grim came, did his business and then sat down on the sofa and watched his soaps. There is no other game that can come close to Sims 2 for chaos and mayhem 😅
Another thing you could do if there isnt enough premades to pair sims with, get them with townies. I don't know if Townies regenerate like they do in the sims 3 but there is a option for you. For population control you could also limit how many babies a sim family has or Unalive a few sims that deserve it, IE John Burb
Do you think you could maybe do a video on how to set up ACR? My Sims almost never autonomously flirt and fall in love, much less get pregnant and I tried a lot of different settings :(
For what i recall, she follows PleasentSims ACR video and setting! And after you set it up for the first time it’s not really hard set it up on your own and play with the settings! Good luck ❤
Also do the mods you use help keep the game running good? and how many mods did you have to use? Again Just currious? As this is an OLDER game too. Or so i HAVE heard. 🤔
i know inteen has a shaky reputation cus ppl say its incompatible with a lotta mods (personally i don’t find it an issue. many mods have an inteen version) but i recommend it over your current system. it’s just easier to let it do its own thing instead of manually rolling for a chance to get pregnant. it also adds birth control & teen maternity wear so not only will ur sims show when they’re pregnant, but you won’t have to deal with the naked glitch. also it adds shit like risky sneak out which is gr8t for drama🫡
