Sorry to hear about your anxiety Jonn. I too used to suffer badly with it and was hospitalized for 10 months with it. Since retiring I have found that it is much better. Look after yourself my friend.
Fairplay John, I too suffer from anxiety and depression, overthinking is the worst. I gave up matchfishing around 15 years ago due to having a young family and struggling to compete and manage a young family. Life can be hard, good to hear you talk about your struggles.
Hi Jon, great video as always. I love it when you get away from the commercials, back to nature which will always help anxiety issues, sometimes it isn’t about catching fish but being in lovely environments enjoying our surroundings. You have a fabulous fan base who are there supporting you all the way. You keep us entertained and looking forward to more of your brilliant videos so please keep up the great work. Maybe one day you should organise a day out where we could all get together have fun fish and chat seems your not alone 👍 take care Jon 👍

Hi Jon, i think you are an inspiration to those who suffer qith depression and likewise illnesses, you jave found a better medicine than any doctor can prescribe buddy.. great video.
This is perfect mate, nice raw footage reminding us why we all wake up at 6am on a winter morning to catch some fish. 1 fish from a hard canal beats 200lb of f1s shallow any day of the week

Thanks for sharing , love watching these. Fishing the Leeds Liverpool Canal in the late 80s for big roach on caster tiny perch and mythical big bream probably saved my life when anxious and depressed .
Those chub remind me of the Coventry canal in spawning time I remember walking a good mile or so along the towpath from red lane to Sainsburys and felt like I could have walked on the backs of all the fish just shoaled up about 6 inches down had 15 or 16 bream about 4-5lb just by the marina at red lane on bread punch feeding mashed bread I was back home by 9am that summer
Nice little video Jon. So sorry you suffer from anxiety. My wife suffers from this horrible condition so I can imagine what you go through sometimes. It does helpto speak to people but also its good to just chill every now and then. Hope you sowed them what fore in the Final. Thanks again and take care. Cheers
Lovely no rush video Jon lad. I didn't realise you suffered from anxiety. My son of 25 also suffers too. I'm trying to get involved with fishing. He did come a watch some of this video. So, fingers crossed I can get him down the fishery I manage in Worcester. Good luck in the final.
Near fell off the chair when see all them chub wow, totally understand the head problem after having two major ops one after the other kept me indoors for 2 and a half years then coved hit to say I was pushed to the limit was an understatement, thanks to yours and other channels helped get through The toughest days , keep going keep em coming and thanks jon
Nice mini video, really takes me back to my youth when I walked along my local canal and saw a group of tench, about the same number as your chub, but it was late April and I'm sure they were more interest in spawning than feeding, not that I could have fished for them, as it was close season. I have never seen a sight like that since, but now in my seventies it is still fresh in my memory. so thanks for jogging my memory again Jon. Cheers.
