Ondiro, very articulate and poignant.
A beautiful soul! Thanks for watching :)
if africa was the united states, this should give someone an idea.
Johannesburg South Africa ........................... Los Angeles
Nairobi Kenya .................................................. New York
Accra Ghana ................................................... Atlanta
@@LuhjeI'd rather put Johannesburg as New-York since it's the leading business city in Africa,
Nairobi as San Francisco because it's Africa's tech capital.
And ghana and LA though...😊
@@MightyIntellectual you guys should stop this comparison. It’s unhealthy. We should be talking about how can come together. No one cares whether you are Ghanaian or Kenyan when leave Africa. They only see you as African. Let’s stop this unhealthy fights and comparisons.
I can see Ghanaians don't like criticism. It's good to hear the negative side of the story too
It’s definitely good to hear all perspectives!
They don’t they get very angry and upset.
There is nothing to compare between Nairobi and Accra honestly. It's like day and night. No apologies.
I can’t wait to visit and decide myself 🤪 next up on the list
I lived in accra ,it's a great city.,take it for instance east Legon vs yaya kilimani area.,they rime
From a kenyan, Ghana people come down she's speaking of her experiences which are valid. There is no competition Eventually Africa will be one country and none of these will matter.
Precisely!
I've live in both kenya and Ghana. Ondiro is speaking facts & figures!
Thank you for watching :)
i have read the comments and i think for a kenyan, leaving in Ghana can rave us bonkers .....Kenya is first-paced country, time conscious population , merit oriented...if Ghanians are not offering these then don`t blame this articulate lady...you have to understand that culture shock is there...and she has laid Ghana bare.....Kenya isn`t heaven, we have low sides too .we`re just vibrating on a different frequency. we kenyans love Ghaniansjust you know, especially the black stars who have done Africa proud many a time. but be honest, if you want a good picture of a Kenyan then she is the perfect example.
Yean Kenyan girls are very energetic especially from Nairobi. What I like about this video there is zero bullshit talk just the truth right from the heart no sugar coding. So much insights. I live in Kenya since 5 years. First in Nairobi and 4 years now in Mombasa. From the interview I would say that Mombasa is more like Ghana. Nairobi is such a vibrant city with energetic and well educated people. Mombasa is more like vacation people don't really hurry or respect time. What I like about Kenyans they know that they live in a very good country and that they can make it here. Who started a career sees that he can have a better life in Kenya then in Europa or the US and it is true. The advice that I can give to people who want to relocate or visit Africa don't go to a hotel book airbnb. And book to live with the family. Like that you meet very interesting people that will help you with.a lot of things and you will experience the country like it is. And change places after a while, like after 2 weeks. How do you pick a region you want to live in. In Kenya you pick a mall you like and then you try to find a place in that area. Because everything happens in the malls. And even the best restaurants are there.
U're mad how can u say a whole country is like one town or city U're mad again
@@kissphamous5451
You're the one encouraging this 😄
I've learned that our general attitude as ghanaians seems to only fuel arrogance in some people. It doesn't mean we shouldn't be nice or we should stop being friendly, be you have to have boundaries and know where to draw the line. That way you don't have to get to the point where you become upset and telling people they're 'mad' cause they've abandoned respect 😄😄. If you have good boundaries it get to that point in the first place
Great stuff here im glad ur sharing this

Thank you lovely! Glad you enjoyed it!
If you are a Ghanaian, don’t be offended by what she is saying, she is 100 percent right. Ghana is not a serious country trust me. The country got it independence in 1957, it has never suffered a civil war or what so ever, yet those war torn countries like Rwander, Angola, Congo and others are doing much better then Ghana. Kenyan is doing far better than Ghana. You are out of your mind if you think Ghana is beautiful, stop dreaming, what does the country has to show other than a small portion of Accra. Kumasi is the captain village of Ashanti region, shame on Ghana leaders especially Akuffo Addo the talkative.
Stop talking down Ghana. Ghana is safer than Nairobi.

@@p.t.9709 What's Kenya like?
@@peacefulwell Although it is hard to judge a whole nation by one state or province or city, Kenya has a bit of everything. It's on the equator, so you can have the super warm weather. Yet, there are beautiful coastal spaces. Nairobi, the capital, is at a higher altitude than Denver Colorado; so it doesn't get super hot. Nairobi itself has so many different neighborhoods and vibes from uptown urban sophistication to slums to leafy suburbs. It's all here. There are some of the nicest malls on the continent, world-class restaurants, a highly educated population, and better road & technology infrastructure than any west african nation. It's all here. Not only do we have the global entities like the UN, World Bank, plus embassies and missions for most nations here; we also have the regional and continental offices of multinational powerhouses like Microsoft, Oracle, Facebook, Goggle, etc. Throughout the country, you can find deserts, snow capped mountain peaks, savanahs, enormous swaths of farm land. Good healthcare is super affordable compared to the US. Finally, there is a clear process and pricing for obtaining visitor, work and residence visas.
@@peacefulwell The short answer is... we love it. Our family now calls Kenya home. We're so grateful to be here.
I think as a kenyan there are so many things we take for granted just as simple as electricity and black outs
Thank you for adding that :)
Are there no Blackouts in Kenya? I am just curious.

If where this lady comes from (Kenya) is that perfect, why is she in Ghana?
Did she say when she came here in 2021, she had a day of light out and another of light on? Sincerely, I've never experienced this. Even in 2012-2014 when Ghana had power crisis, it wasn't that bad.
I stay in Achimota also in Accra and I don't remember the last time my lights went off.
Kenyans have insecurity and they don't understand why Ghana is in the spotlight.
Exactly my point
Per stats we are better in power supply than Kenya so am kinda surprised
@@emsco.b6408 to be honest power cuts in kenya are not a thing anymore. If they have to , they gazette it in advance. You can dial your power source on speed and they are back on.
Hi beautiful Princesses, you two are very intelligent and wonderful ❤❤❤❤

gotta love Ghana as a Kenyan...akwaaba guys

I don't think Ghanaian force someone to visit your country Ghana where every you think is good for you settle there simple Ghana is Ghana take it or leave it we are not good though but best.
First person I’m hearing the real nitty gritty truth from.
Love that she was honest!
Ondiro ur looking great
A beauty! Thank you for watching love
You people think beautiful building is the only thing that shows a country is developed. But that's not the case. When you look at the Africa Infrastructure Development Index (AIDI), Ghana is second after cape Verd in west Africa with 30.65 points. Kenya fall way behind Ghana with 26.68 point.
For example, Kenya has a larger population than Ghana 🇬🇭 but the total power generation(electricity) is is not even up to 3500mw as compared to Ghana which has a little over 5,000mw of power with nationwide coverage of 85%. Kenya has now drawn a plan to achieve what Ghana has now (5000mw).
So it's not only the buildings that tell a country is developed.
So, is this lady Ondiro saying that all she is talking about Ghana don't exist in Kenya? Don't they have sub-standard food joints in Kenya? Are the young people in Kenya getting all they need in life? I am sure there are so many things that will be a shock to a Ghanaian if he moves to Kenya. Everyone knows there are a lot of problems in Ghana but the reason why people get upset with you is because you do stress on it as if Ghana is the worst place on earth because of such problems. Every country is different. If you leave Ghana now and move to another country, I am sure you're going to meet certain problems that are completely different from that of Ghana. The world is not designed to please any one person. It's we humans who always have to start something and then everyone will begin to follow. It's not all about long talking and criticising, besides, Accra is not the only place in Ghana. No country on this planet is 100% perfect.
😅😅
It's their carater, they behave like mad peoples, all kenya RUclipsrs, like the guy called Evans, stupid kenya he is always disgrace Ghana images and talk bad about Ghana
Leave these guys. They are highly insecured and always want to put Ghana in the mud. If Kenya is paradise we should not see them going to Saudi Arabia as house helps. Again the lady should relocate to Kenya. Go watch her previous videos before she left for Ghana and look at her looks.
Get a life 🤣
Perfectly agree
At some point I was surprised at somethings she credited Kenya for as though it doesn't happen in Ghana! There are a number of things I can boldly say happens in Ghana as well but can't waste time listing. It makes me wonder! I feel she hasn't gotten enough facts besides 2 years isn't enough to hasty generalize, yes there are faults, but Ghana isn't that bad!
When they "bill someone" is this on a credit card? I'm not understanding how you bill in Ghana & guarantee payment for services if the customer doesn't show.
I am assuming taking a deposit first. Maybe not getting the deposit back if the customer keeps you waiting or doesn't show at all. Ghana is pretty physical money-based. I rarely see people use credit cards.
Very interesting
What's the most interesting part?
Beautiful
Thanks boo ☺️
She spoke more gracefully about ghana i think . Kenya is equal to depression, ghana is equal to peace . Calm down ghanaians.
The reason why bad news sells and good news doesn't is because most people have a crazy affinity for negativity...and they will twist and blow up the tiniest speck into a dust storm. In spite of all appearances to the contrary, reality is often subjective, and we attract what we anticipate. Exaggeration is a common flaw of humanity...and in the case of our young lady here, it could also be that she's moving in the wrong circles. I say this because I have lived in Ghana for decades, as well as in Italy, Germany and France.... and I cannot relate to the negative experiences of Ghana she is describing.
Nairobi is lit come rain or sunshine

Luv Odiro. However, I got to say most of Kenya is NOT like the Nairobi CBD. In fact, most of Nairobi is not like the CBD. There are so many neighborhoods, each with their own vibes and flava. We rarely ever go to the CBD. Still we love Nairobi and we're so glad that we made Kenya home.
I hate videos like this because in the end they all bring up arguments and disagreements in the comments😢We are all one Africa for Christ sake
WE are ONE for sure! I wish people would actually watch the video lol She's simply discussing her experience living in Ghana. No need to argue.
GHANA IS BETTER IF YOU LIKE TROPICAL COASTAL SLOW EASY GOING LIFE.
KENYA IS BETTER IF YOU LIKE COLDER DRYER MORE EUROPEAN STYLE. LOTS OF MONKEY SUITS. But fun & lots of clubs to go to around the year.
Yes, I haven't been to Kenya but I recently went to Rwanda and it gets COOLLLL over there.
Another thing that Ghanaians hate to hear is that they sound exactly like Nigerians. Here in Kenya and most other EastAfrican countries to us the accents are identical. They get so mad with that comparison.
A girl simply telling her truth - her experience. Chill people!
Definitely! Everyone has different experiences.
Also, people definitely over exaggerate on the customer service thing. Customer service is people getting the job done, nothing more. But it seems some people want a whole experience and for someone to brighten their day with fire works when it's ghana. If you want that you can go to a 100 star hotel.
There's nothing wrong with self service, which is one of the things charlamagne complained about. In some places that's just how it's done, that's just the style. It's not the worst thing ever to get up and get your food. But if they're serving, as long as they bring your food, engage with you and aren't rude, they've done their job. I don't see much better service anywhere else honestly. In fact service workers tend to be rude in america. Maybe being black plays a role, but most of them aren't doing their dream jobs and usually aren't happy to be there.
Things like food delays etc are more of a legitimate complaint and it should improve, but certainly not unique to ghana. I think what the difference might be is that in ghana when someone inconveniences you, they're not even thinking about it or looking at it as an inconvenience 😁 I believe that's the key difference but it's a cultural thing and will require a culture solution, like having conversations with people, telling them the issue etc. Because some might genuinely not even know the problem, and it's a forgiving society so people expect most things to blow over and be forgiven. Should they see it as seriously as foreigners do when something is done right? Sometimes i think so and sometimes i think not. But professionalism and doing things in a reasonable amount of time is doable and not something that should be too much to live up to. If some people are just blatantly neglecting their duty with ZERO care for you circumstance then *maybe* more penal options should be considered. But generally that's not how things are handled (for certain jobs maybe it should be; with second chances)
I would have to disagree with your comment about over exaggerating the customer service in Ghana. Everyone who's subscribe knows how much I LOVE me some Ghana! But let's be real, the customer service is a STRONG area of improvement. People are not exaggerating. If we are discussing ways to increase income for local companies and businesses (especially restaurants), as simple and minuscule as it sounds, customer service is important. It's honestly a simple fix that gains you loyal customers! Everyone is taking advantage of this new surge of tourists coming to Ghana. I need Ghanaians with business to do the same! One easy fix is to beef up customer service as tourists are coming over. With the impacts of social media, you literally never know what could happen!
I agree with your second portion! And before coming to Ghana, I had not thought about that. It being a cultural difference thing. Some people may not even know that it's an inconvenience. You are absolutely right! That's where candid conversations like this come in! Being that we are working with similar but different cultures, we have to try to understand each other. The other thing: just because you've done something one way your entire life, does not mean it's the best way. And that goes for both Ghanaians and Americans etc. Thank you for adding your thoughts boo! That was great
@@MightyIntellectual
How much improvement? Like i said what kind of service were you getting in america that you're looking for? Because let's be honest about that too, the service there is trash. There's no standard. The workers are constantly being told to smile because most of them don't because they don't want to be. And self service isn't that different than a buffet where you get your own food. I don't see what's so wrong with that concept. You don't want to get your own food, go somewhere where they serve you.
I'm just seriously lost on what kind of service people are looking for. It seems like some kind of five star restaurant service and even there most of those restaurants just bring you your food with a smile and leave. So what exactly are you guys looking to improve, if you can tell me i'd like to know
@@MightyIntellectual
The only real improvement I see is how quickly the food comes out and that's also a problem in america or just about any restaurant you can go to. It's something to work on, but not an extraordinary problem or something we should expect to completely eradicate in ghana alone. It's pretty much impossible, sometimes your food will be late, happens everywhere.
To sum it up, I think the only thing you can really say for this is, reduce *bad service* . That's problem. Don't make everyone that comes to your establishment wait 3 to 4 hours for a meal. Don't make that a trend or the norm. Other than that i honestly don't know what else has to improve other than the waiters not going out of their way to be rude. But everyone should be respectful to each other, both waiter and customer. In ghana everyone gets respect
These people are obsessed with customer service.... complaining all the time....

We're different and may have some similarities, I honestly respect every African country but it hurts when I see people talking down on other African countries because they want to feel superior!
Each country is unique in its own way. Yes, there may be flaws in both countries but there's a better way of expressing it. You don't do a comparison between countries listing flaws of one and strengths of the other! Surprisingly, some of the flaws listed are even false! So you don't support what the person says because the person is Kenyan and talking down on another country. I personally never endorse people when they talk less of other countries even if they're Ghanaian. So stop supporting what your Kenyan sister is doing, it's only bringing division between both countries!
@@emsco.b6408 Ghana gets a lot of expats because Akufo Addo has sold and marketed Ghana alongside a lot of RUclipsrs. The Year of Return was literally a cry for people to come to Ghana . Promises of milk and honey , free land and ease. Ghana is known for its hype Detty December and online , it can look amazing. However the realities of living in Ghana are very different to what is marketed . You mainly hear of the greatness and beauty of Ghana , (rightfully so too!) however a lot of these same expats are LEAVING Ghana as it’s not exactly up to par and the realities and shortfalls have sunk in.
I say this all as a Ghanaian who has lived in Ghana for 22 years and across Africa for a remaining 14.
@@asanaa444 You're right to some extent, but per my research on various sites, cost of living is higher in Kenya than in Ghana with clear stats.
Secondly, Ghana's supply of electricity in Africa's ranking is far better than Kenya with clear statistics

2. Algeria- 100%
3. Morocco- 100%
4. Tunisia- 100%

6. South Africa- 85%
7. Ghana- 84%
8. Botswana- 70%
9. Kenya- 70%

@Emsco .B The purpose of the interview was for her to give her 2 year experience living in Ghana love. Just like I do with my other interviewees who were not born in Ghana. What I can do going forward is be more careful with my titles. I think some folks view the title of the thumbnail and are getting the message confused, but if you watch the video all the way through you will understand that the purpose was to get her take on her experience living in Ghana! Unfortunately, it seems that she has had more negative than positive experiences, but thats not for any of us to dictate. She's telling her own story. It's not divisive. @@MightyIntellectual Either you like it or Not Ghana is the best country in AFRICA at moment. Ask yourself 70% RUclipsrs had bunch of Subscribers talking about the beautiful Ghana. Are you wasting your time talking about Ghana for NOTHING?! Lol
😅😅😅 You need to visit Kenya and stop hallucinating. Ghana is several years behind Kenya in all ways not just buildings
@@normanthenormand7554 I need to lol I’ve been to most east Africa countries including your Kenya and I can tell Ghana far better the people security freedom etc. The beauty of a country is SECURITY not TALL buildings if you want a beautiful country then go to Singapore
Africans fighting each other is not what we need! She mentioned the Pros and cons we just need to work towards bettering our continent. Nairobi also has it pros and cons.
Really bashing ghana like that
Rain Water
It's wasn't too bad 😄😄 eventhough a lot of what she said was off the mark. There's just a lot of ways that words can give a certain impression. Especially when you're speaking hastily and not being thoughtful.
But we do also make people comfortable in our spaces which leads to them being less considerate. A lot of what was said even if it might be true applies in almost any place. And people might already know that, because it's kind of an obvious statement that's almost silly to say out loud. But i still think it's worth mentioning considering how this is video/discussion is framed as a ghana only/specific thing.
I've moved into a house before in the US and most of the things the house seller claimed were working weren't. The toilets were bad and dysfunctional, the heater didn't work continuously, and there were many areas of the house he tried to do a quick job to cover up.
And then a couple years later the roof started leaking and the ceiling in one of the rooms also started leaking. It was a mistake buying and moving in without checking all of those things and those are things that are generally true in many places. Even in america.
I'm really shocked
Been in Ghana my whole life and yet disagree with some statements
Some are quite general as I have some close foreign friends
She's just discussing her experience.
@@MightyIntellectual
Although it wasn't malicious you gotta admit she was still wrong characterizing a lot of her statements as if they're things unique to ghana. Because we all know they certainly aren't.
Apart from the speed and pace of life aspect and things being slower in ghana, everything else she said pretty much applies to kenya
@@emsco.b6408Ghanaian friend learn from us
😂we don't need this nonsense here!
wym?
@@MightyIntellectual your friend ondiro is a crazy girl, l think she is mad, you don't want this stupid things in Ghana, see the way she behaved, is better for her to go to her criminal and kidnapping country KENYA, nonsense
Thank you for adding that.
