Be aware that Home inspectors do not perform or include Code Violations or unlicensed work. A permit and violation search should always be performed. A 4 Point and Wind mitigation may pass inspection. If there are unreported Code violations the new buyer will be responsible for them. An unpermitted shed, roof, or addition, etc can cause real problems.
Good feedback, Scat4Me.
Was hoping more details. Learned panels should not have pointed screws. Nothing about straps on roof windows spacing distance type nails, hoping to have been educated more. Had a inspector miss my rood straps, kind of a look a ac it's about 17 years old. Nothing on what details as a owner home to ask and requirements needed. But I do appreciate you bringing awareness. But I have to ask how dose this educate me on what to buy, do and look for when picking products and contractors.
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching. I teach free online classes for inspectors at www.nachi.org/webinars. Free, online, and open to everyone.
These inspections are only for insurance carriers. In order to know more about the possible defects of a home, you'd need a full home inspection. 2 different inspections- especially in FL.
A lot of the inspectors don't have a contractor's state license for any trade , GERERAL CONTRACTOR (B) ELECTRICAL (C10) PLUMBING (C36) HEATING AND AIR (C20)
So the work on the trade but there lack on integrity and good commitment.
They get good training but that's not enough.
Be careful with some of these guys.
Hire only InterNACHI-certified home inspectors, because they were trained and certified by the only accredited home inspector college in the world. Visit www.internachi.edu. No other home inspector has that accreditation.
what does the service disconnect have to do with Wind Mitigation? you do good, knowledgeable videos, just not sure why your off subject?
Please refer to the video title. The inspector is performing a wind mitigation and a 4-point inspection.
