Hey Scotty what should I look out for with the 2013 Dodge Dart ?

Thanks for answering my question about the Chevy Cruze Scotty, you're the real MVP!
I’m looking a Isuzu Gemini to buy

Everyone watching, hoping their car isn't on the list. 😂

solong you have a manual gearbox you'r safe 😉

@Anon73618 my car (a Suzuki) has already driven 200.000 Km (125.000 Miles) with only normal maintenance and changed worn out parts. So i am safe too 😊
I drive a Honda with a manual transmission. AKA bulletproof.

I was a technician at MINI for 5 years and I approve this message
Never a slow day at a mini service center I’d assume lol

Mitzi Stanford thanks much
Thank you 🙏
He is absolutely right about the Altima. I owened one and around 125k I had serious problems. I of course did all the normal wear and tear maintenance on the car.
My ex has a Cruze, I couldn’t be more happier
Very good cars!
You're funny but cruel.
Your bmw gonna cost a lot more lol

My BMW E90 lasted for 270,000 miles until an accident. Although I took great care and did regular maintenance. I only had to replace the fuel sender and pump, which took me an hour or so, and the valve cover and gasket. Most people just don't take care of their vehicles, and although BMW over engineered the car to a fault, it was an absolutely amazing car.
E92 with the N52 is reliable if you know basic preventative maintenance, mines at 150k plus and still runs like i just bought it, i’ve never heard of anyone making it to 100k without any basic maintenance this guy thinks every car is trash unless he was on his knees building it himself 😂
I have an e92 328 (n52) 204,000 miles runs like a top and I’ve never felt a smoother manual trans, truly my favorite car ever
I like BMWs and Mercedes and currently have a 2016 Jetta, but are they are they good vehicles? I know the maintenance is obviously more costly but have my eye on a used 3 or 5 series or c300 as my next car possibly down the road.
@@gopats85 idk how comfortable you are with cars, I’ve never taken my 328 to a shop except about 2 months ago certain n52’s got a recall so I took it up to the dealership to do it for free(and I got a free detail!) but my clutch, pressure plate, and the rest was just under $1000, coil packs, plugs aren’t really too much more expensive, you just can’t treat it like a Toyota, constantly check under the hood for leaks, if so actually do something about it fairly quickly, use good oil and keep full, but don’t be afraid to dog on it, it’s what it’s made for, I can’t praise the n52 engine enough, not as powerful or tunable as the n54 my man is explaining up here.^ but a hell of a lot more reliable and cheap if that concerns you. But like I said I’ve never been to a shop, I can’t confirm with you how much they charge compared to just your average ol car
Got an 06 530i ( N52) at 293k miles. Every option, all original and nothing wrong. N52 FTW

Later generations were better. I just think the first batch (2011-2015) of Cruzes were known for being especially bad, ranking last place reliability out of all Chevy models. Regardless, how long it'll last depends on a lot of factors.
@@lolturtle13 mine was a first gen
I have a 2016 chevy trax. It is the biggest piece of garbage lemon ever. 50000 miles, water pump, heater fan, air conditioner, and exhaust leak. Big one.
The issue with chevys are quality control. In theory I’m sure they should last atleast 200k but I believe it depends largely on the factory’s commitment to quality. Unlike Toyota who has a streamline quality control and generally don’t overhaul parts but rather improve on em.
Man it’s refreshing I watch Scotty because he has such an uplifting energy. He’ll be a young 90. Some good car tips along the way of course too 👍🏻

My mom and dad had a Volvo S40 T5 and they babied that car like you wouldn’t believe. Always serviced at dealer every 4K miles with an open check book. The car blew up at 80k miles. Still smelled new inside. First needed major motor and then trans repair. Crazy thing is they got rid of it and bought ANOTHER Volvo. I said Dad remember I still have your old Tacoma with 300k miles on it.
Range Rover drivers:

Mine blew up last year! 😳
That sucks. Had a buddy that bought one and loved it, and then it just absolutely went haywire and then part of it caught on fire.
My ex girlfriend bought one. smh

I was praying to god he didn’t mention my fusion 😂
@Evgeny I agree I love mine:) even though some of the reviews are bad
@EvgenyI actually heard Fusions are pretty good .Probly one of the better Ford's to be honest
I bought a Fusion ‘06 about 5 years ago at around 100,000 miles; the oil was nice and clean. It now has 163000; no real issues but the antifreeze has been leaking and I was starting to lose oil. I have to say though, the only things I replaced these past five years have been tires, brakes and battery. I just finally decided to buy a much newer car, a 2019 Kia with 8400 miles on it. I figured it was time. So happy now as this is the newest car I have ever owned!
I have a 2015 Land Rover LR2 with the 2.0 Ecoboost engine and Aisin AWTF-80SC. After 7 years and nearly 100,000 miles, the only major problem I’ve had was the crank pulley falling off a year ago. I’ve heard that the earlier Range Rover evoque generation was also equally reliable since they also used of the shelf Ford parts.
If ur car was built on a Friday, ur screwed. Those dude were watching the clock and cutting corners to get to the weekend
How do you know when a Range Rover is out of oil?

Mazda makes some good reliable cars, too if they're 12 years old or newer

90s hondas are bulletproof man. The old civics have a reputation for burning oil, but so long as you keep your oil levels good it'll keep getting you where you need to go for years and years and years. Oh an also make sure you replace the timing belt as per the recommended schedule.

We have a 2014 Nissan Murano (based on the Maxima sedan) with a CVT transmission that has 86k miles and is still going strong. All we've had to replace are the struts and springs at around 74k miles.

Aside from their longstanding quality issues, Fiat's hideous design language hasn't really carried over well into Chrysler's lineup. The Jeep Renegade, for example, looks like a smaller cousin of the Pontiac Aztek. Not very appealing at all.

We had a 1994 Land Rover Discovery with the 4.0L v8 that we ran from 40k to 230k miles over the course of 8 years. All it ever needed was brakes, tires and fluid changes/flushes, an exhaust (NRP stainless upgrade) and a drive shaft coupler, which was both cheap and very easy to replace. Thing was an absolute tank, someone bought it and turned it to an off road rig!
The older Rovers were great. The new ones… not so much. Much like Jeep, the old Cherokees and GC’s were awesome, the new ones are an insult and will fall apart if you look at them wrong.

It all depends how you take care of the car My dad owns a used car lot and I’ve seen and sold just about every car you can think of and we’ve had trade ins come in with 200k plus miles 2012 Cruz with 220k only major thing replaced was the timing at 120k and that was under warranty if you take care of your car it’ll take care of you
Having 1 cruz come in over 200k isn't a shining record for the model... proper maintenance will of course extend the life of your car, but overall the build quality on those cars is not great. That said, my experience working right next to a dealership shop would suggest that if you want to go after a chevy product for poor build quality, look at the Trax. Way too many of those things came in pluming smoke out the exhaust because the turbo was pumping oil into the engine.
@@reaganharder1480 I didn’t say that’s the only one with that many miles that’s come into my shop it was an example we’ve never had a problem selling these cars and never had a problem with them everyone wants to beat on these car companies when your talking about cars that are 10+ years old that have been raged on every single day like I said if you take care of your car and do basic maintenance it’ll take care of you I’ve had the same 2008 Cadillac CTS since 2010 and not once has this car failed me or broken down it has 268k miles and it runs and drives like new and still looks brand new I’ve had the timing done at 168k not that it needed it but because that’s basic maintenance the number 1 car I’ve had problems with working at a dealership for over 15 years and my father for over 25 years is fords almost every single ford I’ve owned and bought had some type of motor/trans or electrical issue they are junk maybe the brand new ones are good but the older ones have issues
I owned a 2017 Altima and in less than 100,000 miles It had 3 cvt transmissions replaced. I didnt want to deal with it no more so I traded it for a Camry and couldn't be happier. That Altima spent more time in the dealership than on the road..
Camry is 1 DULL ride. So many great engaging sedans to get otherwise. Mazda6 & Ford Fusion Sport .
The only thing that's good about the Altima is that they're fast.

My aunt who lives in California had a first gen Altima. I remember it being more spacious that it looks from the outside. Great ride, great car.
I had a 97 Nissan Altima years ago. It was the best 4 cylinder car I’ve ever owned in my life. The motor that thing had was awesome. The power of a V6 and mileage of a 4 banger. That gen 2.4 was prob best engine of any vehicle I’ve ever owned. I made my own cold air intake on it easily and it sounded sick sucking in the air. I’d buy another one if I ever find one not all rotted out. That was the only flaw, they weren’t built to last long living in the rust belt.
The old ones were great
Shows BMW but it's not on the list
I guess I’m saved for now XD
Yea people need to read between the lines on this
It is on the list.. MINI is made by BMW

2017 cruze 140,000 miles. Only thing I replaced is oil, transmission fluid, spark plugs, filters, and a knock sensor.
It’s been great and I’m still driving it.

I got a Mini Cooper 2012 r56 bought it with 100 miles already got 138k miles and running strong only problem I had was recently I had to change a c02 sensor and the car computer.. pretty good car and awesome gas millege
I bought a 2011 Smart Fortwo Cabrio back in 2016. I loved it, still kind of do. I got it as a daily driver and intended to keep my 88 F160 to use to learn how to work on cars. But ended up having to sell it. Now I am selling my fortwo for similar issues. A tree falling on the convertible top and putting a small hole in it and then later the fabric tearing and eventually detaching from the convertible top mechanism. To the occasional "pop" or "snap" sound when raising or dropping the top. And a few months back the convertible top button broke and fall into the frame around the gear box (where It's located). Not to mention all the turn signal wiring issues, the motor mount needing replaced, the a/c needed some none routine maintenance.... lol
Luckily most of this was covered under warranty. I should have seen the other stuff coming.

Fact is people dont expect to drive a premium car for too long and they eventually sell it 5years and more. This is a good insight for broke people who needs a headsup

Range Rover LMAO..... So many rich soccer moms would cry if they saw this.
They wont care....because they will have traded the thing in and gotten a new one before it hits 50k miles. Its the people who buy used ones, which are out of warranty that really get roasted with these piles of scrap
No they wont care , they will just get their cuckhold husbands to buy them another car . even bigger and higher , so they can zoom around everywhere , and tailgate people , and not indicate when turning , and take up two car spaces , etc etc etc.
