- Learn how the INSTITUTIONS trade - 10 Essentials for successful tradering (Part 7)
The banks, brokers, hedge funds and sovereign funds make up most of the institutional traders in the world. They account for over 80% of all trades taken every day in each market in the world.
Institutions rule the markets and they play the trading game by certain rules, which if understood can give you an edge of your opposition.
Home based day traders need to understand how the institutions (banks) place their trades and use value areas to make trading decisions.
Institutions these days also have algos and black boxes which use code to take trading decisions. This is great for them as presumably it means that they do not have to pay traders fees! However it is also good for the opposition (us) because it makes them more predictable if we understand how the work.

From my perspective, institutions can move a stock price in their favor because of their vast capital. But they need retail investors to fomo or exit positions to make money off the retail traders. They basically feed off retail. I also think they manipulate stock price to make money on options contracts as there is heavy leverage there. They might lose money on stock trading and moving the price but make money on trapping option traders and forcing retail out of their trapped positions
Bang on
Nicely done - less conspiratorial than some paranoid traders. Balanced, practical.
Trading is fun, I enjoy trading all thanks to Con. Edwin Earl, 2 years ago I left my job of 8 years to invest in forex and then I came across Edwin. He was willing to trade and teach a new investor like me the pattern he uses to make constant profits, the profits i make trading with Edwin Earl does not make me miss my previous job.
After giving it a thought investing in forex would be the best thing to do at a time like this.
I'm sure you were glad you left your previous job.
You took a risk and succeeded lucky for you
Radley Moss How do I get in contact with your Edwin Earl?
Yeah this time I am lucky for sure, but I also made huge losses trading with quacks before i came in contact with Con. Edwin and you can reach him on his email consultedwinearl@gmail com
Great video sir 🙏
oh man you explained the liquidity pretty well...impressive!! TQ
Great video Anthony - thank you
Cheers. Appreciated
This guy is explaining in the basics of the basics
great video Anthony - to be honest, the only way to learn is to spend time in front of the screen and watch how price moves before the open, after the open and how it reacts to levels and then the volume at the level. Much of it is about pattern recognition as the same patterns occur over and over again, but it always has to be in the context of the higher time frame, key levels - prior day high, low and close etc and the time of day. Keep the videos coming!
100% Nicholas. Thank you.
excellent video your smile is indeed bonus
Very very interesting...seeing it from the predators (institutes) view helps to make smarter as well as better trades.
@@johnbutler8052 Stop that shitty spamming, okay?

Great video. so much value. thank you sir !
Very very helpful video
Love the way you teach. Really Helpful. Thanks a lot!!!
Hello Anthony i like your video and is very informative, can you tell us are these institutions used higher timedrame or lower timframe
Thank you. Actually they trade all the timeframes as although they make decisions and take orders from clients based on higher timeframes their traders execute trades based on lower timeframes.
Thank you Anthony
@@taimoorrafi8312 Thank you. Much appreciated.
excellent
Should we use stop loss ?
no you should win 100%
It is very tricky. The institutions knows where the SL is, the broken send a message to them :), so... It is really hard to say, but, what about a massive wick and you dont have your SL and the market continue down, you are f..as you know... It is not a easy question to ask.
Awesome video🙌
Forwago worked for me too!
More of this
Thank You That Was Great... 👍

Your videos are super helpful... Thank you very much sir.... I became a fan of you by watching single video....
Thanks for watching and for your feedback. Technical trading is the way forward. Takes some time but once you have it then you've got it forever
Wish you went into buy and sell walls. EVFM is so manipulated that’s way.

Glad to help Kishan. Thank you.

I love what I do. It's a pleasure. Bless you.
Hi
Many thanks for such a very well presented and educational video ...I very recently brought shares in a company called Petra Diamonds ( slightly less than 1.5 pence ) in which until last year seemed to be on the point of bankruptcy but now have much better all round fundamendals ...From my understanding over half the shares are owned by institutions at supposedly more than double the price for the shares than what I have paid ( though I cannot find absolute proof off this )in what was to a large extent a debt for equity swap ...The share price has had a very minor slide ( just a few % points ) since I have been in but I have been having anxiety whether I should sell out or stay and except it may go a lower still ...But I was also wondering what effect the institutions would have on the value of the share ....Your video has made me stop and think it is not just about what the share price could be worth next week but maybe what it could also be worth next year as there is institutional involvement ....Once again Many thanks for your interesting and helpful video in considering my own situation ... george clooney teaching trading
Ha ha. Gotta take that as a compliment! Thanks.
good video!! it could be a little bit shorter but still.. good tips there!
You don't want to learn.. be honest
Brown ifeanyi Christabel I am and I never stop..
So who buys and break resistance zone.
I'm a bit confused. First, the stop orders you drew as dots are buy orders. If institutions want to buy they have to exploit sell orders. Second, institutions do not use market orders since market orders do not guarantee an entry price. They use limit orders. Third, the are scientific articles showing that in the last few years HFT encompass the majority of trades. I feel that your excellent explanation could have fit 50 years ago, not today. I understand that you need to make things simple for the folks, but is there a chance that you make a video with the real explanation of how trade works? Please accept my criticism as I'm genuinely curious. And thank you for your videos.
Thanks for your contribution. Appreciated.
But who will I learn forex from. I have been doing research for now a year but I have failed to get the truth and the secret of market movements plus entry
Ant'a gold trading system is probably the most detailed system that is out there. I have spent 15 years refining and developing the system. I coach alongside the system. You'll find it at excellenceassured.com
Look also for NJAT "not just a trade" and the RIMC Structure explanation. Here on RUclips, these guy and what they say and show line up, so i see both as leghit, they show easy entry and target rules. Iam at the same point at that you are, still searching and learning. So these are the best structural explainers i got so far.
What timeframe are the Institutions trading on with their charts?
Monthly
Monthly for direction and daily for entry
Is this George Clooney ???
2008 CDO,s the reason for the decline.
Yeah, but what killed AIG and Lehman Bros was a lack of liquidity - but that was also highly related to the CDOs you mention.
Thats call stop loss hunting 🐱
Where did you know about stop hunting? I'm really interested in finding more information on this.
Thanks for the Video Sir
Here's the proper education mate...Institutional traders don't even look at the price charts and they don't care where the stock prices are going. They're always hedging their bets, meaning, they play both sides of their trade. All they looking at is volatility, that's it.
Yes, volatility and value. Thanks

Your analysis of institutional trading practices contains several inaccuracies and is largely unhelpful for retail traders. For instance:
At 8:19, you state that "institutions were liquidating potential losses," which is unclear and lacks context.
At 8:43, the phrase "they sold more client money" is nonsensical. Institutions execute trades on behalf of clients, and unless the client requests a sale, there’s no reason for them to sell assets.
At 9:55, you describe the market as "overbought" at the top and "oversold" at the troughs, which misrepresents the terms, as it implies a range-bound market rather than broader market dynamics.
At 10:35, your explanation of sell orders is incorrect. Institutions generally execute large orders based on client instructions, often via limit orders or spread over a specified timeframe. Suggesting that institutions know market direction implies unrealistic foresight assumption.
At 11:18, the phrase "they make these trades at value" is meaningless and the term "value" should be clarified.
At 16:19, you incorrectly state that stop-losses are predictable, when in reality, this information is not predictable, except in cases where brokers sell it to institutions.
In conclusion, your understanding of how institutions trade appears to be limited and false....
How do you know? (pleasant tone)
T.Y.G. after years of watching and participating in the market you get to know what is happening behind the scenes. Big money is very important for market direction. Get to know what the big money is doing and it makes it easier.
You look lile George Clooney
I think that it would be tricky to find a greater compliment. Thank you.
Anthony, do you operate in a prop firm? What do you think of top step?
Ta for asking. I don't really get involved with prop firms. Although several traders I have coached have passed their requirements.
36 unlikes from institutional investors
Ha ha Nanda. Yeah and 680 likes from the rest of the gang!
You can say retail traders it's fine😂
The markets definitely aren't fair. There should be a limit on how much money you can put into the market at once. Having billions of dollars to move the market yourself is a lot like insider trading. You KNOW when the market will move, because you're the one moving it.
I'M NEW TO BTC AND I'VE BEEN MAKING LOSSES TRYING TO MAKE PROFIT MYSELF IN TRADING. I THOUGHT TRADING DEMO ACCOUNT IS JUST LIKE TRADING THE REAL MARKET...CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT OR AT LEAST ADVISE ME ON WHAT TO DO?
You don't really need someone to tell you how to invest your coins, you can make research on your own and also try doing it yourself first
I will recommend Laura Dew, for you. Her strategies is working for me at the moment and making good profit
Wow I'm just shocked you mentioned and recommended Laura Dew, I thought people don't know her.. she's really awesome!😘
