- Possible last outing for 2021, first time at Newtyle.
Had the beat to myself and was superbly looked after by David.
Fished hard all day, strong winds and debris in water, caught fish about 2pm. Спорт
Congratulations and well done that man! Nice fish. Thanks for sharing

Well done that man. 👍👌😁
Lovely fish well done
Good fishing👍🏻🙏🏻
How lucky to be landed with Ena Sharples hair net
Stunning fish 🐟 returned safely 🙏
What a beauty's Paul, some colours on them late fish. I'm away for a bit of fishing this weekend. Hopefully I'll get a bit of luck. Keep your films comming👍
I have one more from the river Garry to come - this will be No21, no GoPro, but filmed by some friends so I have no idea what it will look like!
Hefty croc! A real strong fish 🎣
He was really deep and thick - superb condition.
I go armed with a 16 footer Hardy to Newtyle and you are pulling out monsters with than flimsy blue switch ex tank aerial.
What make of rod is that.?
Well done good scrap and great video Paul. 😂
Hi - I put the tackle info at the end of the video to help. The rod is 13'1" Salmologic Skyborn rated for 31grams. This is my big river rod and the Tummel in spring. Prefer to fish light and have a 22g version of this and also the 18g Serenity Switch - you can see this in the Dalguise film. Glad you enjoyed it, was a great beat to fish and to have it to myself was a treat!
Great video good to get the take on the camera :) Big backend cock fish can put up some scrap well done. You should try get some footage underwater as well will come out great.
Tried this once with both a fish release and a swimming fly - need to be more organised, keep calm and remember!
@@PaulCarter67 Def worth trying especially if water is clear as footage will come out great. Tight lines !!
20lb tippet ?
Yes - just 5ft of 20lb nylon - this is 0.33mm or 01X I think which is attached to the 8ft coated/poly leader. i prefer to use 12ft to 17ft tapered nylon leaders but the poly helps with both depth and windy conditions (was very windy)
