LOL I'm a rocker and a metalhead, and basically cannot stand country music. I grew up with my dad listening to the old country...Hank Williams, Roy Clark, etc. At least those guys had talent. Linda Ronstadt was always a welcome relief from the run-of-the mill country. Gifted beyond belief! This woman can sing like none other. I've always loved her voice, and she could sing ANYTHING! The new country singers could not hold a candle to this lady's powerful voice. Sit down and shut up Taylor Swift..you can learn something here.

What is so sad about this version of the song: In 1953 or 1956 Wanda Jackson first recorded this song. The verse that says: I grew up in faded Gingham"...tells the whole reason and meaning behind the ORIGINAL song. Other artists leave that IMPORTANT verse out. That ONE verse is the basis for the whole original song. A POOR country girl who married a Rich man. It is here on you tube, Wanda Jackson is the artist. There is an faster tempo version Wanda Jackson performs with the Buck Owens band in 1970, in Oslo Norway. Also here on You Tube. Please check out the original lyrics is all. Just saying. JW.org

Fantastic video. But who is in the band? Is that Waddy Wachtel playing a guitar solo? Do I see Bernie Leadon? C'mon people, someone must know who is who.
Also, when and where was this filmed? It's brilliant stuff, I'd like to know more.
