I found this video from googling what type of curl pattern i have. Coming from a mixed kid whose mom never learned how to properly manage curly hair, I can’t express how grateful i am for this channel. After 15 years of dry brushing and straightening, this is the first time I can say i’ve felt confident in embracing my natural curls!! 🤝🏽
Aw!!! This makes me so happy! I’m so glad you’re embracing your curls!! It’s such a journey! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out on her on you can DM on Instagram! I’m and open book!
Was also brought here by searching for my daughters hair grade. She is 2. I will learn as much as I can since I am a mother with board straight hair, to learn how to do right by her beautiful biracial curls. Glad this video helped you find confidence, made me smile! ❤
The rubber part of the Denman Brush slides out so that you can remove alternative rows which slightly changes the curl pattern. For detangling you hold the brush vertically, horizontally for styling. I didn't know about the corrrect way to hold the Denman. Will try it on my next wash day. Thanks for the upload. Your hair is beautiful.
I’m definitely going to play around with the rows to see what difference it makes, thanks for the tip! Definitely come back and let me know how it goes! ✨ thank you!
@@jenniferrodriguez6953 I have the same, 3b-3c and don't remove any rows usually. Whenever I do, I take out every other row. So, on a 7 row Denman, I remove rows 2, 4 and 6.
Beautiful curls!! I’mma need to use your technique because I’ve been having issues defining my curls. I tend to get more volume which isn’t bad but I would like some definition 😁
Thanks so much! I don’t quite remember for this one, but, typically diffusing will give a more drawn up curl with more volume and air drying can be a little more elongated and less voluminous. I like diffusing in the colder months so my hair dries faster!
Your hair is so stunning..and so are you.. So lucky your hair is curly at the root..Mine is not curly at the root..boo..and I have a hard time sectioning at the back at top of the crown..Seems iI can't get that part as well and my crown always is frizzy!!
Thank you so much! You may need to use thicker more moisturizing products as well as products with more hold at the crown. I have the same issue sometimes!
Matthew 6:25-34 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

does it make it slightly looser or tighter?
@@curlsfordays9682 It tends to make them bigger.

Absolutely beautiful! I will try that on the front of my hair where it is really loose.
Love your curls 😍
Great video! Do you air dry or diffuse?

It slides out because you can remove some of the teeth if you like
Really?! Wow, I never knew that, I'm going to have to take a look at that when I get home! Thanks!
@@thebethmethod Also, with fewer rows, the curls tend to be bigger.
@@dwarf04 so you can change your curls😧

You're welcome! 💖
What do you use when separating your curls?
Hey! I typically choose between an oil like the Aussie Miracle curls oil or a non-water based gel like the Wetline Xtreme gel! I hope this helps!
@@thebethmethod thank you 😊
