That's exactly why i stopped playing any AC after black flag, there comes a point when you realize they are just burned out and there's no more fun in a game, just chores to complete with mediocre and repetitive gameplay. Have felt it with a lot of other triple A franchises since i became a gamer, around 30 years ago. Highly recommend everyone to try games from small studios or even indie studios, do not preorder, wait to see some gameplay for you to buy, truth be told im blessed and can spend any amount of money on any game, but i simply believe those who make games with passion deserve my money, those who just want to milk people are just basically scamming you.

I got so incredibly bored playing Ghost of Tsushima, playability is not one of its stronger parts, contrary to popular belief. I've even seen people who love the game to the core say they wanted to come back to it and just couldn't and they couldn't even explain why.

Things like the mats are fine in the actual game but are wrong in the trailer. It is a cinematic trailer after all. Same with the Oda symbol. Every AC game has had these small errors anyways and you can always find them if you look at them with a microscope… but that’s literally not the point of the games. No one said they were a historical documentary. If you want to go down that route, games like Ghost of Tsushima have more than triple the amount of inaccuracies but people still love the game. It’s not about the accuracies. People started hating on the game because of Yasuke.
You seriously need to do some research. The woman you are talking about is in no way a historical consultant, just a narrative one. She helps them with the dialogue in the game because she has a PhD in Japanese literature and grew up in Japan. She’s also a professor at an Ivy League school. If you think that she’s the historical team they’re using then that’s embarrassing. They have hired entire teams of researchers and have used Ubisoft Tokyo and Osaka to aid with the development of the game.

Also, they could’ve taken some random real life Japanese servant that worked for Nobunaga, and decided that he was going to be a badass samurai Warrior for this game, and it would still get as much criticism. Also, Ghost of Tsushima strove to be more akin at an Akira Kurosawa film than actual Japanese history.
They’ve only showed 2 historical consultants. Both of which look like they have no idea what they’re talking about when talking about Japanese history. Also, having a professional pedophile Yaoi fan girl as your narrative consultant is also not a good look.

Plus while we at it how about the Japanese historian look into the records and release all information they have so that we all can make certain of the facts and nobody won’t think about this game period! Cause I get the feeling some information may not wanted to be released and known due to him being a foreigner not from japan! Sadly if they had a Japanese man in Africa I feel some info would be left out due to anger of foreigners coming to another country all humans get ignorant like that!

Beside that, there are lots of mistakes found in the trailers, even the Oda clan's crest printed on Nobunaga's clothes is upside down. Ubisoft said they have also hired a team of Japanese to check and recommend all about those details to ensure the gameplay as its fullest but seems like they're barely working.

If they wanted the world to feel alive they should’ve done more research into Japanese samurai and the life of the protagonist.
You can melt 24k gold and dip a turd in it, but will that change the fact that at its core, it's still a turd? I don't so. Ubisoft can make some pretty looking games, but change virtually nothing whatsoever mechanically. So, just a polished turd with the usual checklist based gameplay and absolutely mediocre story. Shilling for it won't change anything, it'll just motivate them to pour focus in places nobody cares about and leave the most important things untouched.
Yeah but the prob with Ubisoft always comes out with things that seem like a good idea but ends up being generic. Like Watchdogs 1, Division 1 and many more. Watchdogs was going to be super graphical for the its time but never was,. It was decent but not what they showed. Division with the snow drop engine. They were showing the engine off and its capabilities but never was as good as they made it out to be. Graphics was really good but not like they showed it. This will be the same with the seasons on this game seems good till its released

You know, im replaying AC1, and i dont think they can top it tbh, its way better than the Ezio trilogy as well. Its the only one that truly makes you feel like an assassin, and the story is actually compelling, the targets actually have character, and most, actually have thought provoking things to say, unlike AC2 and beyond where its just "im the big bad guy, im evil for evils sake"

Star wars force unleashed did this whole interactive physics. Seasons are lame mechanic. Is my character going to grow old for every 4 seasons that pass? Will they die of old age and the templars win? Or am i some space ninja/samurai who can change the seasons without changing time. I get this is a video game but this is lame mechanic for an Assassin creed game. The real question is are we going to be able to change season as we see fit? I think it's funny they get all the plants months they grow all wrong. They have a certain type of grass that only blooms in September and October and in the same area at the same time they have another plant that bloomeds only in April they know nothing about Japanese culture in what grows in what seasons and what months. Because we know what to expect from the chain restaurants of video games. Every game that Ubisoft puts out is data that can be interpreted and since they release things so frequently, we can infer a bit more accurately about what kind of games they’ll be like based on consistencies and inconsistencies on past projects. That and releasing so many games back to back and that literally drives down demand as well as the inevitable - all looking like the same game. Personally, I don’t think UBI should be making AC games anymore but it would even be reasonable to just release at half the frequency that they do. They just made Far Cry 7 under the guise of another IP. Come on, dude.

I really want to see the replay value of the game and I hope the combat isn’t as easy as it looks, ghost was accessible but challenging, i don’t hope ac would reach such a level in combat but at least we need challenge
If u played previous games on hard mode and is not a casual to to the series then you would know you can get 1 shotted or 2 shotted if ur not well equipped

@@chriscolombie4135 wdym the mechanics didn't change of course it did shadows refined and overhaul some parts of each characters combat plus you do need to have different approach with Naoe when fighting and time your combos and attacks sparingly. Ghost was fluid but sacrificed weapon variety with weapon depth by adding weapon skill tree. Shadows is doing both skill tree for each weapon type and weapon variety and depth so combat will be better than ghost maybe not as fluid though but that's made up for with enemies that have their own stances and tactics.

Let's see how this works out. The best crowds i've seen are in cyberpunk and sadly they are STILL nowhere near the level in the early teasers. This doesn't even look as good in the prepared trailer lol
CDPR NPC’s are a good example of listening to people live their own lives. Take that and compare it to Bethesda NPC’s who might solely address you about important topic, lore and potential missions.
@@automaticwriting4220 Yeah, but when you ran around a certain spot for the 3rd time and you heard the same exact dialogue from the same 2 NPCs sitting in exactly the same corner, that's immersionbreaking to the max. That's something bethesda actually does better, NPCs wander around and are not as static as some of the CP77 NPCs are. Then again, CP 77 has about 100x the NPCs of elder scrolls games, it's not really comparable.
