In this weeks video, I found someone selling a package deal of antique sears garden tractors. They have not run in years, and were stored out back of a barn. Im excited to share what I found, as well as have some great future projects for the channel. From what I can tell, I have a sears custom 7, sears suburban 12, and sears ST/12 from the late sixties, to early seventies.
Nice catch restore them
That's an awesome score! I'll be waiting for updates on these for sure!
Thank you Steve. I got you stickers in today 🤘🤘. I’m super excited for these projects. I’ve already started working on one.
@Freedom mowers I love the older stuff. I have three early 1970s New Holland S-14 tractors out at my dad's that I want to do a video on one day. My dad uses one of them to plow his driveway when it snows.
Those would be so fun to work on
Nice score! I've always wanted something like that to make a mud mower
That was one of the thoughts I had. I’ve seen some pretty crazy mud mowers with these type machines.
Real interesting projects coming looking forward to seeing it great job Alex
Thanks Edward. I’ve got the first of the videos up now for these tractors. I was lucky to find them even if they need a lot of work. I think it will be fun to bring some restorations to the channel.
My son asked if I could look at his wife’s Grand Daddy’s John Deer, it wouldn’t start. As it turns out it was a fuse. He asked me if I knew anything about 1971 sears suburban riding mower. He was in the middle of a restore on his 1971 sears suburban riding mower before he had to have brain surgery. Boy I would love to finish it for him but don’t know much about old mowers.
Nice Vine can't wait to see you do video on them thanks for the video
Thank you very much for the support. I’m excited and will have a video up very soon getting started on one of them.
Man the sears st/12 brings back memories my dad had one I cut a lot of grass with it and he plowed the garden with a disc harrow and a turn plow that thing was a strong
Well you know how I feel about vintage equipment Alex. I'm really excited about seeing you work on these. Great score. Keep up the good videos brother!!!
Thank you Artie. I’m so excited to have found these. I really miss my farmall tractor. These are going to be a blast to restore.
Nice one Alex, they will be great when they're all up and running!
Thank you. I’m excited to see how these turn out. They need a lot of work, but worth spending the time to fix to me.
Some great projects Alex! The alternator looks to be from a Chevrolet. The one tractor looks to have some cub cadet styling. Very cool stuff. I think Slippers from Taryl Fixes All did a vintage sears tractor.👍🇺🇸Roger
I was thinking the same thing on the alternator. I’m hoping I can get the original charging system working. I really don’t want anything that’s not original on these tractors. I’m so pumped to have found these. I’ve already started working on one ;) I’ll have to see slippers video.
Roger if I remember right Slippers' was a LC-10...... if I remember right bud.
@@Big_Johns John it was actually a custom 10XL. It came out super nice because he powder coated alot of it.👍
Thanks Roger, hey at least I remembered part of it. 🤣🤣
Nice scores Alex! One thing I can tell you about helping to identifying the year is on both the St and Suburban 12’s the id tags should be down by the shifter decals and start with a 917.25xxx number. The blue one looks to be a 71 or 72 by the blue n green decals and the hood vents. Sears changed from the stainless inserts in 71. The SSBTC Facebook page is wealth of Sears knowledge or just about ever Sears. Great vid and I’m going to subscribe and follow along with ya! Andy
Thank you very much for the support and the information Andy. I will have to see if I can find the FB group. I have to get the paint off the id tag to see what the numbers are on the blue one. I’m really excited to find these machines and do what I can to bring them back.
This is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you. I’m super excited. Hope all is well your way! I’m going to be doing a sticker shout in the next day or two. Yours will be up there 💪💪
@@freedommowers420 💪🏽
1966 sears custom 6,1970 sears suburban 12,1974 sears st/12
Can't wait for the videos on these fine machines you scored here Alex. Great find I probably wouldn't have passed on them either.
Thank you John. It’s hard to say the worth on these machines. It takes a certain buyer to get what you want out of them. I really have been needing a tractor for around the yard, so one of these will be a personal work machine. I’m super excited to get started working on them.
@@freedommowers420 look forward to seeing them.
Nice find!! Got yourself some work to do now! LOL!! Good luck on your projects!!! I've got a 68 suburban 12, 78 GT14 varidrive, and a 72 suburban 15. All still run. At least that's what years I think they are from what I could find. They've been really handy to have around and have done a LOT of work. My dad bought the 68 brand new and it's been running ever since. Not much the last few years but it's still ready to go and runs great.
Sounds like you have some great machines!! I can’t wait to be able to put mine to use. I certainly have a lot of work ahead, but it’s all in fun, and really want to see them running again. Thank you very much for the support.
Very nice find Alex, I'm looking forward to your restoration videos. This should keep you busy for a while brother. 👍👊
Thank you John. I have my hands full over here, but very excited for these machines. Won’t be long before I have a video starting in on the first one 💪💪😎
Anytime brother, I bet it'll turn out great. 👍
Nice score bud! Those can be some really awesome vintage mowers with some work. Looking forward to it 👍
They certainly need a bit of work, but I’m very excited to see how they turn out in the end. I have already started working on one. Making progress already! 💪
@@freedommowers420 Good to hear bud!!!
Now that is what I'm talking about you got into the world of classic garden tractor,s there Young Man man I'm a little bit jealous 🤣🤪😅
I’ve been on the lookout for one for a while. Didn’t think I would stumble across three for a price I couldn’t say no to. I’m very excited to share working on these machines.
@@freedommowers420 cool to see you got the classic tractor,s for your next project,d
that custom 7 is good looking I would clean the points on all 3 of them
Thank you for stopping by the channel. Yea I feel blessed to have found these three. The custom 7 has had a newer engine swap, and the other two have electronic ignition, otherwise I would have been into the points first thing.
Those starter generators and wheel weights are your money back
I have the SS 15 those are good tractors-
Oh heck yea!! That’s awesome. They are solid machines and have stood the test of time.
I have the SS 14 with the Briggs engine
Hello 👋 do you know how high thé valve timing is set on That engine briggs strattons 13hp roper....year1973?
I don't know?in my country not have info...thank you very much
😎👍
cool i got a suburban gold
That’s awesome. I love these old garden tractors. I’ll have more videos coming up in the future.
Hi, maybe you can help me. I just purchased a Sears suburban 12. I went to take off the front wheels but had a problem, the right one the bolt came off easily, then I tried the left side and I couldn’t get the bolt off, ya know lefty Lucy righty tightly, but no turns out the bolt is a left hand thread. Now I’m going nuts trying to find a bolt, I am wondering if you can help, thank you so much!
Hmmmm I’m honestly not sure on that. There are some suburban fb groups that could probably help out with that and other issues you might encounter on your machine.
I'm familiar with all of them I made my living selling them new at Sears
We had one, Suburban 12. All our stuff was Sears, my Great grandfather was Chairman of the board in the late 50s early 60s.
42 and 48 decks
I’m looking to get into mowers I’m 15 I’m wanna but this lt8 ford near me they want 220 for it it runs and drives just needs new belts
They look like lawnmowers
My brother has a Suburban maybe a 1977. Wondering if its worth refurbishing and reselling. What prices can you get??
It all depends on how much work it needs and what someone is willing to pay. You can look in your area to see what they are selling for. Thank you for checking out the channel.
I have one of these Sears Suburban Tractors that I would like to sell. Can someone please tell me what it might be worth? It is not in running order and has not run since the early 80's I guess. Its blue with orange wheels. It has 3 vent sections on each side of the hood. Thanks!
Do you sell any of them...
There’s no such thing as a barn find the tractors were never lost. They were put away in the barn.
five hundred bucks would be a fair price in that condition. But if you completely fix them, Their worth thousands apiece.
To the right buyer they will be worth a lot. I’m very excited to try and get that back running and looking good again. Thank you for stopping by. I’ll have videos up soon on the first one.
