Made “WD 40 Brand” a drinking game and now I’m well lubed. Great work. In our disposable culture, it’s rare to see older equipment still serving its purpose.

Oh wow, I used to mow the yard with this exact mower when I was a kid in the 80's. It was awesome. Yours is in much better shape than ours was, we beat the heck out of it, pretty much used it like a tractor. Eventually, we did actually get a tractor to replace it lol.

Great to see it brought back to life, and it looks like there are some different implements for it, to expand it's use. We have Howard 2000s over here, they are more primitive, running v-belt-based equipment, but the range of attachments you could/can buy or build is fantastic. Every thing needed to run a market garden or small farm back in the day.

Funny, I noticed that air cleaner looked a little more modern, now I know why. The thing looks great and it’s impressive the weight it has behind it. The one I used to have was only a little smaller and I could easily lift the back end to shift it over if I needed to. Great to see it live on and it will be really interesting to see you make that snowblower attachment work. 👍🏻

They're great all around machines, I adapted an old Bolens plow to mine and it can push a lot until it loses traction, and I only have a worn out 10hp. Rear lift is great also to have for grader and for counterweight for the manual lift, makes lifting effortless.

I had the EXACT same tractor, but I think it was a 14 horse. Was pretty worn out when I bought it about 15 years ago for $400. Used it for about 5 years then it got replaced. It actually cut pretty well and I liked the hydro, but it was a pig on fuel compared to all the newer stuff out... I feel like Simplicity was ahead of the game back then though...

you put a bolt through the rim where the spindle goes and nut washer and then clamp it in the vise and that will hold the rim for you. So you can take the tire off

When I was in diesel mechanic classes, we were taught: never trust gas from the stations. This is a good example as to why. Too much junk for the carb. Most mechanics will peak the tank, say "yup, that's your tank dissolving into the gas"
Not sure what process our teacher meant by what he taught us. From the trunk to the tank? Or sediment from the station's tank? 9/10 times it's from the tank I'd assume

I’m getting a 70’s craftsman riding mower. It my brother in laws and he would let me ride it and cut grass. I’d love to ship it somewhere to have it restored. Do you know where I can do that?
