Van Halen would for sure do a tribute! Vinnie is heartbroken for good reason and the thought of being behind that kit with Philip and Rex out there, representing Pantera and looking to his front left and those dark curls no longer blowing in the wind will hurt and that's probably hard to face, but once he does (hopefully one day) it will bring him more peace than he realizes, but at the end of the day, he's gonna do what he chooses! No one thinks its Pantera without Dime I think fans just want to hear those songs again. I think a few tribute shows would be better than a full scale reunion tour. Some select dates with several guitar players filling in as a Dime tribute. Throw the Dean from hell on stage left with a spotlight on it and make it a real potent reunion/tribute. I think if they ever did much beyond that it would be blasphemy. More importantly I think Vinnie would feel much better if he and Phil got into the same room and talked with each other. Its a huge weight thats lifted when you mend a broken relationship which once had meaning in your life. Ive been there myself and you often dont realize how much it bothered you until those fences are mended.

Letzteren kann man leider nicht mehr zu einer Reunion bringen, auch wie es Vinnie schon richtig im Interview sagte, deswegen würde diese mit einem anderen Lead-Gitarristen auch keinen Sinn mehr machen bzw. nur "Pantera-Light" sein. Deswegen finde ich, sollte man auch in Zukunft nicht mehr vehemment eine Reunion fordern, sondern sich eher weiterhin an den hinterlassenen Meisterwerken wie "Cowboys from Hell", "Vulgar Display of Power" oder "Far Beyond Driven" und den neuen bzw. anderen Bands der ehemaligen, noch verbliebenen Pantera-Musiker, wie z.B. Hellyeah, Down, Phil Anselmo and the Illegals etc. erfreuen.

People who have the unfortunate to fall in their prime, have the fortune to have their legacy last forever. Pantera was great, and I was a true fan. Nevertheless who would want a reunion of them anyways. Phil sounds terrible now-(no thanks) and if Hell Yeah is an example of what Vince is playing now- lol another (no thanks)- Mudvayne is really the tragic loss- but Chad is a clown now too

What's selfish is continuing to put out obviously shitty music and keeping Mudvayne and Pantera+Zakk from putting out music that is levels beyond this shit.
I couldn't begin to think what goes through vinnies head when he thinks about Phil, but what I wouldn't give to see those two reunited again, getting along like they used to, man
