I loved this video. Sometimes our budget doesn’t always match our style taste. So I would love to see more videos like this one. For a lot of ladies, Walmart/ thrift type budgets are the only accessible ones. Thanks for all the tips. Peace and blessings!
Thank you for this video..currently i am going through a whole change..turning 58 and my hair is now all natural silver/grayish..what a change! I am going through all my clothes, accessories to see what looks good with my gray hair..even make up!! My challenge is i don't want to look old unfortunately that concept of gray hair makes a woman look old is a tough one. Thanks again Audrey for your wonderful video's
Hi there, I am 58 and I let my hair go gray about 3 years ago. I wish I had done it earlier. I have a fair pinkish complexion and gray-blue eyes. I found that my best neutrals are gray and navy. About 2 years ago I went through a little bit of a style and clothing crisis too. I have given myself some patience and grace and I am now enjoying the experimentation process. For style inspiration and really leaned in to Italian street style. Milan street style videos are full of gorgeous, incredibly stylish, middle-aged women. Good Luck!@@AudreyCoyne
Just remember that caring for gray hair is a learning curve, too. The texture is different than it was before and usually requires different care. Different products. Shiny gray or white hair is glorious. Even when I was very young, I collected magazine photos of women with beautiful gray hair because I admired it so much. It gleams like delicate strands of polished metal. Awe-inspiring!
Maybe you wanna look into Nikol Johnson's content. She looks marvellous with her grey hair and I love her styling way. I believe she is a makeup artist who loves fashion? If not wrong she is currently 48 years old this year.
My mother didn't go completely grey until she was in her 80s and my dad had 'salt and peeper' hair when he died in his 80s. That 'dirty chalkboard' look is not a nice one on women. I am 65. My natural colour would be faded black with the odd bit of lifeless grey. I colour it dark blond and the resulting colour has a tint of auburn (the hair colour of my grandmother). Many people have admired it. Everyone admires that lovely white-grey of Helen Mirren but many do not get naturally blessed with that!
Great tips as always, Audrey! Subtle tweaks. Not hard at all. And if you make these adjustments, you see the revelation in them. Not hard at all. These small details make a big impact in the overall look!
I really wish you would have links (or at least name the brands) for the pieces you feature--like that blazer, it's exactly like what I've been looking for, color, fit everything! So hard to find blazers now that aren't oversized and overwhelming on someone thin and petite.
If you are in the United States, I can recommend Ann Taylor and White House Black Market for accessible prices and superb, timeless but current tailored pieces (great selection for Petites).
I agree with you about bright white sneakers. I’m also petite and I think I have a bigger shoe size (8) for my height. Wearing bright white sneakers made my feet look crazy big and drew the eye to my feet. A softer white (2 tone also with a spot of tan) made a huge difference. Much better.
I have learned so much from your videos and still do. I pay more attention to colors I buy and match. Love your style beacuse it's similar to mine. Great videos, looking forward for more!
I've been meaning to do a refresh of my cardigan/blazer/etc collection for a while, and I love the idea of matching them to the shirts I already wear! I also finally replaced an old pair of sneakers with something more classic, and I'm excited to try them with some of the pants in my closet other than the jeans and leggings.
New follower here. Just literally found your channel. Love your recommendations. Very current and relatable. Your voice also sounds very soothing to listen to! Thanks!!! ❤
I love your videos, Audrey. Could you please give some advice on how to keep your clothes free from pet hair? I noticed in a few videos that you have pets, and you and your home look so elegant and chic. I would love to hear your thoughts on how to enjoy having nice clothes despite pets.
I have trouble finding a tailored pant that fits my body. Butt too baggy, legs too baggy. I would love some suggestions for different body shapes and tailored pants. Also some sneaker suggestions. While I love Hokas for exercise, they are not the silhouette I am looking for when wearing jeans or shorts or dresses. Some suggestions for comfortable, yet stylish sneakers would be helpful. Thx Audrey. Great videos.
Love this kind of content. I love wearing pearls, would love another pearl vid, how to pair w/ metals. how to mix pearls? (shapes of earrings oval, necklace round), ow to combine with other jewelry.
Just found you. Love your soothing voice and peaceful presentation. Yes, more styling tip videos, please. Classic timeless trends. Thanks, from Vancouver
I'm hoping you will consider a respectful suggestion from a longtime subscriber. Perhaps you could say "POLISHED" on EVERY budget instead of referring to EXPENSIVE as the ideal. (Maybe this is a choice made for the YT algorithm....) For me, the focus on money and being monied feels superficial and disrespectful (which I know your are not!) The Quiet Luxury trend infers the same class distinctions. Must aesthetics and style reinforce the ubiquitous message that our value is only equal to our income? Or our skill in faking it? As you point out, POLISH can be achieved on any budget,. Thanks for all your great content.
Society is what it is. The richer people are the arbiters of fashion, elegance, and chic. They have the power. It's their game. You can pretend otherwise all you like, but pretending won't make it true.
The adjective "expensive" qualifies a esthetic, a look...it does not refer to income or excessive amounts of money spent, that is, you can look expensive by following certain guidelines (per this video) despite wearing $38 trousers from Ann Taylor on sale, a cashmere sweater bought at Ann Taylor (on sale) and your forever pearls! You can look more expensive than anyone wearing Rolex, Zimmerman and Cartier all together!!
Great video! I am focusing on a low-buy year and shopping my closet. I need to learn to use all the beautiful things I have accumulated, especially the “special occasion” items. My clothes and accessories need to be used daily.
Ikr? I keep asking myself what I'm saving them for. As it is, I could wear a different cashmere sweater every day and it would take months to get through them all. I'm not getting any younger! Time to use my beautiful things!
@@edennis8578 I so agree! Like, I’m saving them for “afternoon tea with the Queen”?? Mmm, I don’t think so. Yes, for wearing my “nice” things every day... No more shopping before all is used daily .. And it makes me feel good And excited to get dressed in the morning.
I would love to see a video on American (USA) Fashion, or even better, a serie of videos. American staples in a wardrobe, American greatest brands (Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger...), How people tend to dress in every state, or in big cities, How people dress for certain occasions like 4th of July.
😊😊 thank you, Audrey. Yours advices about sneakers, make up are 🎉. I love this subject about no expensive outfits. The choice of your photos are sublime. I think you are more a gamine body type with Classic and natural essence because you are so beautiful with flow hair, oversize blaser and jeans. Love it!
Audrey could you possibly do a video on matching tights/hosiery to an outfit? There isn’t much out there! I love color, I did the Kitchener color analysis and I am high contrast as well. But I struggle with matching my tights with my shoes, my skirt, top etc. For instance I would wear my green top with navy skirt, but navy tights and shoes seems too much? But different shoes would look odd, I think! help! If you can at least help me move in the right direction I would appreciate it so much!
I disagree about tennis shoes with classic looks, nothing is as pretty as a beautiful leather shoe. This look started in Europe where walking is difficult. We have mostly nice streets and a lot of sidewalks.
A video showing how to buy clothing…. The qualities you look for in tailored pants or blazer. What you look for in tops… sheerness and how to wear it without looking see through
Who do we want to look expensive for? Ourselves? Others? What is the purpose of that? Why simple, easy clothes like black t or anything similar is not enough, is not elegant enough? An honest question. Just been pondering…Love your voice, way of speaking. You look good in everything!❤️

Why does one need to look expensive?
No one needs to look expensive. One wants to look put together in high quality clothing.
It´s a still no-no for me about sneakers, even if the outfit looks perfect, when adding sneakers, it always seems to be a distracting element for me.
