Every Sunday morning, I look at the weather forecast and my schedule and plan my outfits for the week, including shoes and handbags, and set them aside. I steam anything that needs it while I watch documentaries or series on Sunday night. Having things ready ahead of time makes my workdays start with an efficient but gentle vibe.
I definitely go with the 50/50 idea, that always resonates with my own style. Living in the North UK means we can often get all 4 seasons in one day, so planning outfits beforehand can be tricky! I do however, usually have a first choice, followed by a back up if not weather appropriate! A good trench coat is a fashion must have for sure! 😊
About a year+ ago I added steaming my clothes to the laundry chore- game changer! It was also around that time that I purged many items. Now when I get dressed, if it’s in my closet it is ready to wear and even better I can find it!! I’ve even gone as far as putting a card on the hanger listing outfits that I’ve previously put together.
Planning my work outfits for the whole week has given me peace of mind. There’s always flexibility if weather changes, etc. and everything gets used, instead of the same pieces over and over.
Yes, I’ve found that planning my outfits ahead not only reduces stress but saves me time AND motivates me to get going in the morning. I used to think of getting ready as a chore but now it’s a personal indulgence ❤
I love the idea of looking to the past for style inspiration. My muses are Princess Grace (50s), Jackie K-O(60s), Diane Von Furstenberg (70s), Madonna (yes....80s), and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy (90s). ❤
I would love to see your inspiration with hats. Hats are an underutilized accessory. You seem to love hats like I do and with all the different shapes, styles, occasions as well as the practicality for weather it would be a great series I think.
Adding a belt and/or the right shoe and purse can elevate an outfit. I was wearing a somewhat casual neutral outfit last night and I added a burgundy crossbody purse that added an elegant element. Thanks for your idea of the 50/50 system.
Recently discovered that I love paperbag pants, saw them on a website and purchased them. They are so comfortable and breathable especially during this heat! I wear them to work with a cute blouse and some sandals ! I feel so more grownup LOL (almost 40)
Always the belt is a good friend to elevate my outfits. Over all elevate jeans and shorts. For simple t-shirts the short bold golden nekcles or pearls line is great.
Love the 50 / 50 casual & dressy idea. I like to go with three toned outfits (including shoes) and 50 / 50 baggy & form fitting. Polished outerwear is key. Also consider how makeup shades fit into your color scheme.
I work from home, and I'm fine with my daily outfit being a tee shirt and leggings at this point. But if I do need to run errands or something, my go-to is to add a pair of pointy flats and a blazer. Maybe I'll grab a nicer purse or a pair of dangly earrings. Generally I have more intentional plans on weekends and that's when I'll pick all my outfits, but my style is still simple and I still tend to use accessories to elevate an outfit.
For me, I've realised I needed clothes that are fitted to my torso. Anything that's oversized on my torso just makes me look... terrible 😅 I need my waist to be highlighted.
I love feeling dressy and put together, but living in the PNW I feel like hardly anyone really dresses up like they used to, so using the 50/50 rule has been a really great way for me to still introduce nicer pieces while not feeling too overdressed. My black Thursday Boots (Downtown), skinny jeans, and a delicate gold chain necklace really come together nicely when I'm going for a more edgy look, and my black Wingtips/Oxfords to dress things up with feminine flare ☺️
Audrey, fun spot on oversized t - shirts and the windows background give a happy, bright, open look. Too funny that kitty always adds to the presentation. Maybe be a good one - how to remove cat hairs from your clothes. Thank you! Pete
Interesting video as usual. I too like to add something to feel polished to a casual outfit. on another note, will you be taking us on any more travels in the future, your UK one was so good ?
Love the tips ❤❤ I also love the tweed jacket you're wearing in this video and the tweed jackets you wore in a recent video of yours. Do you have any suggestions of companies you worked with for plus size tweed jackets please? Specifically for size eu 50-52 or uk 20-22 pls. Thank you much appreciated 🙏🏻
Love your channel and love your content.... how do you record your voice, I see you so far away from the camera, no mic that I can see, and your voice is crystal clear and like you are speaking in my ear. xx
Dear Audrey - is it a co-incident that you have shown a picture from Audrey Hepburn ( how nice you care the same name) and style aswell. I thank you for your classy-decent style-tips and content. Always very nice to see and „backing me up, sort of - in what l think, like to do and wear🦋🌺thanks you very much indeed! Of course inspiring me further aswell. I wish you a wonderful time! ( Ps what kind of steamer for your clothes do you use?)

50% casual and 50% dressy is what I’m always going for 👏 👏
Kitty sighting in the background ❤
There should be a horn and flashing lights saying "Kitty Alert"!😂😂

Great choices
Love the graphic tee, belt and trousers idea! Also the jacket you are wearing is fab ❤
Thank you so much!
Wearing fitted jackets that hit at my waist always makes me feel put together!
I feel grounded in my color palette, the texture, silhouette of my outfits, and old Hollywood with my own twist.
Love your old Hollywood twist:)

Agreed that our clothes speak for us before we open our mouths. Your outfit is your first statement whereever you go and whoever you first meet.
I love a good, versatile blazer. I'll dress it up or down & it always looks nice.
Could you please let me know where your trousers are from along with the black V neck sweater, belt and white jacket? I love them so much!
For me, I've realised I needed clothes that are fitted to my torso. Anything that's oversized on my torso just makes me look... terrible 😅
I need my waist to be highlighted.
As usual, beautifull and useful video!
I love your pleated work pants! They look comfortable and upscale - can you provide the link?
