This is a real good find for us cop show lovers. Thanks !
Excellent series much appreciated
I agree. I remember watching this series as a child back in Wisconsin, and it's one of the reasons I moved here as an adult in 1964. I love the street scenes - always fun to try and identify the locations. Watching this episode, I am reminded that Van Ness Avenue really was "auto row" back in the day.
Thanks for the post.
Thank you for posting!
Actor Tom Tully (TT) plays Inspector Matt Grebb. TT was nominated for an Academy Award for his supporting role in "The Caine Mutiny" (1954).
If you are a film noir fan you'll remember TT as Gene Tierney's taxi-driving father in "Where the Sidewalk Ends" with Dana Andrews.

A good series of shows. I truly enjoy seeing the cars and styles and real telephones I remember from my childhood. Interesting storyline. I can tell it was low budget, but have no problem with that. Thanks for posting.

You’re welcome!
I watched this episode yesterday and the picture quality was highly acceptable. While the narrative was quite good, it was not a patch on "The Hotshot Robbery Case" Season-4, Episode-18 1958 that had more excitement and intrigue. This episode starred the beautiful, popular TV Star, Lisa Gaye. Wish RUclips could locate this episode. I sure would love to see it colorized.
Attractive Jean Willis ("Alice") appeared in many old TV shows & "B" movies shows during her career, but always did a "class A" job. Talented Tom Tully can say "ah hmmmm" as only a cop, and a good actor can do!
Thanks for bringing us this series
Not seen this before. Questions and answers, made one year before my birth, always nice to see something old/new as the case maybe be.
Great show!
Orginally telecast on November 18, 1955.
The original "Streets of San Francisco"!
ALL SHE HAD TO SAY WAS L DIDNT GET A GOOD LOOK AT HIM. i WAS FIXATED ON THE GUN
Sad
Hard to believe that the weasle looking guy who operated the telephone switchboard, was no less than Aaron Spelling...later on, one of the richest men in America...and a record making producer of tv shows...net worth at time of death was $600 million...yeah...
Interesting. Didn't see his name in the credits and couldn't find a reference to him in it anywhere online.
There was no telephone switchboard in this episode.
