A great show. Unlike today's police dramas, these old shows were morality plays.
And cigarette ads. Real moral, helping sell cancer and addiction.
Series was syndicated as San Francisco Beat.
Indubidubly 🙂
A marvelous movie w top actors, great plot , nice dialogue thanks somuch 😮😅😊
Lived in SF in 50's loved watching the series then.
Boy, no inter net, no cell phones, no computers, no people with tattoos, everybody well dressed, just great.
Used to love this show. I think it was on Saturday night late.

Here's to Viceroy's, coffee and cops. Thanks for sharing, rschreck.
Classic TV cop show showing San Francisco back in the day.
There is real Bank of Nova Scotia which is ScotiaBank.
Clark Howett who played the hotel manager was a fixture on the TV show Dragnet playing cops.
Loved that they used the names of real hotels and stores.
24:47- "'THE LINEUP', from San Francisco, was presented by KING-SIZE *VICEROY!* The cigarette with TWICE as many filters as the other two leading filter brands-..... *20,000 filters* for the smoothest taste in smoking!"
25:40- "'PERSON TO PERSON' is next, on the CBS TELEVISION NETWORK."
The chauffeur stayed. Was he payed by the hour?
Natives call it the mark…😺

As long as they wanted to drive it!
