You did (inspire). I already have 2 PvE Vultures, both balanced shield/hull. Plasma with clean drive tuning and Pulse laser with dirty drive. I'm quite bored in Elite, so nice new challenge. Thanks!
My only suggestion is A rate those sensors, and engineer them with long range. It makes finding targets so much easier and nobody can sneak up on you. You have the power to spare.
Wow, I just learned a lot. I'm barely a combat Expert and just now finding ways to be decently effective, thanks mostly to vindicator Jones, and now you. Thanks for the awesome vid! o7
Saw you kicking ass in a hull tank DBS earlier. Close run as to whether I prefer that over the Vulture. Mine runs out of ammo too quickly to take top spot.
I agree the vulture is a fabulous high speed agile ship...I haven’t tried pp weapons on it yet...but have twin G5 efficient PA’s with plasma slug as secondary...power and heat are fine providing I don’t spam it ..nice vid Wiggy...keep them coming Cmdr 👍
Awesome vid, been running Hull tank pave ships for some time and agree with you. I have a PA/rail python with about 4200 armor and ~45% resists+ 64ton cargo and a limpet collector lol. Needless to say,I have yet to run into a NPC I would struggle with. Most small ships just insta die and big ones I just pick apart after knocking out its drivers
Great vid Wiggy. I've been flying hull tanks since 2.4 came out and your right he challenge rating goes up nicely. At CG's (in open) I've found other players assume you're 'easy meat' and try it on.
Dazzle shell puts the sensor on a lower tier, i.e. A rated ones got B range, B rated ones got C range, etc. Not sure how it affects sensors with long range mod though, as the testing was done before sensor mods were added.
Very situational. Nice to have if you're in a silent running build or in an overall cool ship with long range weapons, but since AI ignores that it's no use in PVE. Imo target lock breaker is the best experimental, see here for some great usage ruclips.net/video/Sz15kfjzGy4/видео.html
Love your attitude, commander! I'm a new player and in no rush to get a space iceberg with lasers. I'd much rather have a collection of pimped-out smaller ships. Case in point: I have a Vulture that I love to death, but I spent the previous day fooling around in an eagle, trying to learn how to aim with dumbfire missiles😋 I'm eager to try out your builds, but I've got a long and hard grind ahead of me 😅
If you can hit with dumbfires you can hit with anything! Good thing to learn with if you've got other weapons alongside. Don't worry if you struggle with these builds. They will teach you a lot through getting killed. One day it will click and you'll not look back. Just make sure it's not your only ship! Sorry for the slow reply - I've been on holiday on a remote Scottish island with no internet!
I learned that lesson shortly after the last patch. I had 3 million in bounties lost and 500k in debt after shooting a cop by accident. Went back, made a similar mistake at ~2mil bounties collected and had to either lose the Viper MkIII or the Vulture. Sold the Viper and never made that mistake again 😋 Now I've got my Vulture A-rated, and a DBX with a ~33LY jump for exploration, missions, and light bounty hunting. Not ready to leave civilization yet 😅
I've been meaning to build a second Vulture for a while now. I run a bi-weave with rapid pulse and PA with target lock breaker, for bounty hunting. Great fun. I'll definitely have a crack at your dual PA build....in 4 weeks, once I've unlocked Advanced PAs!
WiggyB Yeah, I've used 2 standard PAs on my Vulture which are pretty good against anything Asp - sized and bigger. Tricky against Vipers though. Pesky little things.
Well, considering that my Vulture tends to lose its shields in seconds, my hull tends to last longer than my shields....without the hull boosters. It would be cool if you did a video like this, but with a non-engineered vulture and see how you fare with it, cause i find it nearly impossible to keep in a safe position to attack enemy ships, but then i tend to just put all pips in weapons and leave 1 pip in system and engine and leave it there, maybe that is my problem?
I'm just here to piss on your bonfire and tell you the yellow fire we humans deal with on a day to day basis is not a plasma. It glows for the same reason metal glows when it becomes hot. Great video
I dream of the day I can take down a conda solo... I'm in a 21.5 million credit vulture and still struggle to take down ships my size... Probably due to me being an utter newb.
amazing flight control. the vulture is my fav ship but it is not effective when unengineered. all i lack are raw materials. can you suggest a good way to farm raw materials
The canopy repair feature must be fairly new (first I've seen it)? It was my understanding that a canopy can't be repaired outside a station (mad dash home)? I wonder if it's still available in 3.0?
You can't repair a breached canopy with an AFMU. You can only repair a cracked one. That's why you have to start the repair mid fight. Hope that helps.
@0:26 ohhhh you don't know how it is as a bad pilot *without engineering.* I cannot kill even a deadly FDL in my Conda without help from security, and I am grinding towards the Corvette. BtW, can somebody tell me why I don't get the rank up mission for leutanant? I am at 100% Ensign but it doesn't show up.
CMDR PLKarmann just gotta work on maintaining a good position and landing those shots. i’ve taken out condas in my cobra mk3 alone so yeah good luck out there cmdr!
Where are about in elite. I want to check your ship with my conda. I have no idea why they do not use rockets on your ship. Even if you use chaff, you can't stand 12 rockets launched one by one.
Is it possible to use Repair Limpet Controller to repair hull and fighting at the same time ?. I have to test this armor tanking. Vulture is 100% best affordable killer for Haz Res. I never tested cannons or armor tanking but my Vulture with pulse lasers can kill any solo ship.
Sadly no. As soon as you take damage the limpet is destroyed. Between fights though works fine. This is a tactic used extensively by bug hunters (Medusa and Hydra) to repair between attacks on successive hearts.
Just built one of these for a Pixel Bandits PvP competition where we were limited to using crap ships... It turned out to be great fun to fly. I pretty much transferred my iEagle build over to an Adder. Still got the ship and fly it when I'm drunk to avoid expensive re-buys!
Just suggestion, you can put some Prismatic Shields/Bi-Wave on 4 sized slot, in case of canopy damage. Otherwise i prefer BEAM build, here example ruclips.net/video/Gpe6n3BZBJE/видео.html
I'm not a particularly active PvP player. I can't be bothered with all the salt. I do fly 1v1s against friends and occasional dogfights against random aggressors. I rammed an Anaconda to death with Toothless a couple of weeks ago. I'd been in the RES for quite a while and was low on ammo and hull when I got attacked... I'd recommend Cillit Bang / Archon Fury if you're wanting small ship PvP videos. Hope that helps.
WiggyB incredible is all i can say. Lol i love the reward of getting god rolls. I wish they wouldn't get rid of them but instead increase the material rewards in missions and on planets. Seems like the better option instead of removing those rolls and making every roll better than the last, or allow purchase of certain materials in small quantities. Thoughts anyone on this?
LOL that's what I was wondering - 'best I have is about 14%....with enough rolls to give me a nervous tic! Good job Wiggy: a pleasure to see a cmdr who doesn't take flying a pretend spaceship as seriously as a UN conference & focuses on having fun - like you said earlier, the egos & salt in PvP is just pathetic. I guess gaming is the only thing they've ever been good at, hence the inherent anger. You have a scarily similar outlook & preferred builds as me. Virtual +1 :)
1:02 the smoothest landing I’ve ever seen, ever
Hey, this is exactly the sort of build breakdown that we need more of. Good show.
Can’t say I’m good enough to run this myself but loved to see how you flew it :)
Hey Wiggy, these are great! I hope you continue to do more unique build videos, this is what makes you unique as an elite youtuber IMO
You did (inspire). I already have 2 PvE Vultures, both balanced shield/hull. Plasma with clean drive tuning and Pulse laser with dirty drive.

Must give the Vulture another look now you can get round the old power issues
Saw you kicking ass in a hull tank DBS earlier. Close run as to whether I prefer that over the Vulture. Mine runs out of ammo too quickly to take top spot.
thats my little pvp ship fun in a wing
I agree the vulture is a fabulous high speed agile ship...I haven’t tried pp weapons on it yet...but have twin G5 efficient PA’s with plasma slug as secondary...power and heat are fine providing I don’t spam it ..nice vid Wiggy...keep them coming Cmdr 👍
I have an old Vulture sitting around collecting dust in the shipyard... maybe I should dust it off and do this

Yes that's definitely my experience too. Plus the Vulture is so cheap that it doesn't matter if you end up at the re-buy screen.
[GERMAN)Und natürlich OHNE Verdammten coriolis!
DAUMEN RUNTER!
Great build. Thank you, CMDR. o7

Thanks for that. Not sure it's a particularly useful given how close you'll be when fighting, but interesting none the less.

It does work with standard PAs too. I just prefer the advanced parts on a Vulture. Strangely I prefer the standard ones on every other ship.
WiggyB Yeah, I've used 2 standard PAs on my Vulture which are pretty good against anything Asp - sized and bigger. Tricky against Vipers though. Pesky little things.
Agreed - that's actually why I prefer the APAs - the increased fire rate makes killing vipers and eagles a lot easier.
WiggyB 👍
I'd love to see you do this with the Courier.
it's my favorite small ship
Inspiring videos. Thank you.
You sir are a better combat pilot than me, good video. o7
Thanks. Flying hull tanks really does improve your skills. You soon learn to dodge and position your ship out of harms way through necessity!
Well, considering that my Vulture tends to lose its shields in seconds, my hull tends to last longer than my shields....without the hull boosters.

Good fight last night, first time I’ve pvp’d with my cutter for an extended time
Yup - good fun. If we'd know there were only 3 of you we'd have flown some smaller ships. We should do another run some time soon.
I'm just here to piss on your bonfire and tell you the yellow fire we humans deal with on a day to day basis is not a plasma. It glows for the same reason metal glows when it becomes hot. Great video
Great video!
Great video again wiggy you know how i like my vultures never tried a afmu on it but will now o7
Thanks Ian. We can take some of the new guys bounty hunting in them!
Thanks, very informative.
I dream of the day I can take down a conda solo... I'm in a 21.5 million credit vulture and still struggle to take down ships my size... Probably due to me being an utter newb.
nice flying
Great vids CMDR o7
amazing flight control. the vulture is my fav ship but it is not effective when unengineered. all i lack are raw materials. can you suggest a good way to farm raw materials
over charged pacifiers with incendiary mod would allow ammo to last twice as long

You can't repair a breached canopy with an AFMU. You can only repair a cracked one. That's why you have to start the repair mid fight. Hope that helps.
"I don't find myself to be a gifted combat pilot" I disagree lol
@0:26 ohhhh you don't know how it is as a bad pilot *without engineering.* I cannot kill even a deadly FDL in my Conda without help from security, and I am grinding towards the Corvette.

Are you playing on console?
Where are about in elite. I want to check your ship with my conda. I have no idea why they do not use rockets on your ship. Even if you use chaff, you can't stand 12 rockets launched one by one.
I'm doing trading and exploration and as such my ship has no weapons, do I need to do combat at all !!!.
armored powerplant not an option for Toothless? btw nice content, made a python pirate ship cause of your vids :)
Is it possible to use Repair Limpet Controller to repair hull and fighting at the same time ?. I have to test this armor tanking.

Here's a really good example using a Vulture! ruclips.net/video/uC1VcBL7xGY/видео.html
Does module reinforcement packages help protect major modules like power plant and other?Cheers.
Yes they do. And you can repair them in flight with an AFMU. I use them on bigger ships, just didn't find that it helped much here.
Adder hull tank

Спасибо большое за видео, очень познавательно. Свежий взгляд на стервятник. 07

do you have any videos with pvp?
I play Elite to relax. I find PvP rather too salty for that. I mainly do friendly fights which I don't record.
ok, fair enough
Just suggestion, you can put some Prismatic Shields/Bi-Wave on 4 sized slot, in case of canopy damage. Otherwise i prefer BEAM build, here example ruclips.net/video/Gpe6n3BZBJE/видео.html
You used these 2 builds in actual PvP? Any additional tips there?
I'm not a particularly active PvP player. I can't be bothered with all the salt. I do fly 1v1s against friends and occasional dogfights against random aggressors. I rammed an Anaconda to death with Toothless a couple of weeks ago. I'd been in the RES for quite a while and was low on ammo and hull when I got attacked... I'd recommend Cillit Bang / Archon Fury if you're wanting small ship PvP videos. Hope that helps.
How on earth did you manage to get a 20% damage increase with Efficient modification on the one with Dispersal Field?
For once RNGesus was on my side. That and modding 6 APAs at the same time with 20 or 30 rolls across them all.
WiggyB incredible is all i can say. Lol i love the reward of getting god rolls. I wish they wouldn't get rid of them but instead increase the material rewards in missions and on planets.
