The autogen is good, but a lot of textures is worse than default

Nice vid as usual Thomas.... if only MSFS was not coming, I would have buy it but right now, all further investment in P3D/XP are frozen.
I guess I'm not the only one that can't un-see MSFS 2020. Even as good as XP 11 looks these days, it's nowhere near what MSFS2020 showed us.
@@ImagenNoReligion I feel a bit bad considering all the effort LR did to bring us a great XP11 but at the end, we have to be rational with our money and looking at the thousands of $ I've spent over the last 12 years... oh boy, this new MSFS will give us the best all inclusive with no further add-ons (except aircrafts and traffic maybe ).
@@techandco.yeah, I also feel a bit bad for LR. ^^' I enjoyed XP the last years...but that eye-candy of FS20 is just...not comparable...and if the flight model is decent too...oh man, I will be switching so fast because I am honestly tired of the rather dull looking landscape and that you have to download huge chunks of ortho data to make it look more real - FS20 will be managing that on its own by automatic streaming. Let's see if it lives up to expectations.

You clearly are not a real Flight Simmer ! MSFS 2020 will fail big time ! No real flight dynamics whatsoever , It will only look good , that's it ! A GAME for 6 to 14 year old's !
And don't forget ....... you will need to be online for that " eye-candy " Most likely with a subscription .....................

@@gertjanvandermeij4265According to what I've heard so far about aerodynamics/flight dynamics system it's going to be more elaborate that the one FSX had. Aerodynamics system has been completely rewritten. FSX: one point + lookup-tables. New FS: thousands of surfaces that are simulated individually. I am curious how the end product will look like. If they manage to create a very good flight model, then together with the next-gen eye-candy (streamed real world data, Azure AI) I will most likely switch from XP to FS.

Nice, but :
1) Is it possible to use only the SFD objects (overlays) on my very realistic Ortho4xp tiles ?
2) And what about Europe ? Belgium, Nl, Switzerland, France no mediterranean, England, etc.....?

@@airwipe1639 On the map I can see that USA, West and east Europe, etc ...are not covered. Limited global !

There are no buildings visible when using Ortho4xp, and i try to change the order of the scenery pack a lot of times without results.
Fabricio Pallottini Ortho4xp has comparability issues with payware airports as well.
MisterX6 really needs to update the US west coast region!

I'm gonna reserve judgement on this and the future of xplane until we have all the facts and final release notes for MS2020. Enjoyed the video up to your usual high standard and what we've come to expect from your good self.....

I Dont't know how to use it with orthophotos...it's difficult for me to understand because, it is all in english obviouslly, and nobody explain it as well... i have to order my scenery pack and i don't know how to do it

With SFD Global, since it's more of a library, it can be anywhere in your .ini order and I use it with my orthos (it's all autogen buildings, trees, and meshes) and it looks terrific.
But you have to disabled something by default in the custom scenery or not?

Yes, u dont have a good cpu..it uses the anti and world ojects, i drop sometimes 20+ fps in places 🤷🏻

Sfd so good n bad..good it adds scenery more objects and looks amazing but it will cost u have fps in some places if u dont have a beefy cpu n graphic card..i had to lower my anti and disable AI but still nice..Thomas what night lighting do u use? R u going to do a review on Just flight AI plugin?
Bad they want money and you can work with the free orthos or wait for FS2020 :D
@@Izmael1310 This has nothing to do with orthos really at all. It's works well with the orthos you have, and in areas you don't want to generate orthos for, it still massively updates the look.
I personally didn't notice a big FPS difference with it, and the dev is going to separate textures into 4K (which they all are now) and 2K to decrease ram usage in lower end systems.
Wait, do we have to pay for this one? Why isn't this part of the vanilla game? You know that when MSFS2020 is released, all other flight sims will become obsolete.
No, not really, they'll be a lot of add-on planes and airports to buy I'm sure with MSFS2020. It's also a year away at best. XP11 is hardly obsolete yet. Good to have competition. Can't wait to see an eventual XP12....

MSFS is a game. X-Plane is a sim, it’s not and won’t be obsolete. I’ll be sticking to it. Btw I’m a pilot.
