      zKMotion But you can convert stuff from cinema to maya and from maya to cinema. C4d ia perfect for mograph but maya does the trick in modeling

    If you love your work you should ALWAYS want to work on self initiated projects. It proves you are not just chasing dollars.

      Working for clients doesn't mean you're money hungry, maybe they just get more creative juices working for companies

    • @jameswilkinson150
      @jameswilkinson150 5 лет назад

      Yeah but not working on self initiated projects indicates clearly that you’re only in it for the money and for clients that’s a VERY bad sign.

      Michael Motion I’d say that’s because you don’t have an answer. Obviously (as stated in the vid) if you’re only ever working on big bucks projects it illustrates that you’re not worried about the work, only the bucks you make from it. I know a lot of big studios that work on massive projects but they still always find time to develop creatively on vanity projects and have fun. The best studios wont just chase the dollars all the time like you do.
      Don’t mean to sound offensive but it’s true, if you never do self initiated projects it proves you’re only in it for the money.

      @@jameswilkinson150 well sometimes, self initiated work is more of practice and also so you can stay fresh and not get tired of your passion. But if client work can fulfill those things for you, you wouldn't even think of making self initiated work unless you suddenly get an idea, or maybe you'll save that idea for a client, so you can fulfill your project and also get money so it's win win
      Also this is a team, maybe they do self projects individually.
