Sorry for no video yesterday... My internet was being weird last night but I got resolved and even a slight upgrade so streams in the future could be less laggy! Hope you enjoy and remember to SMASH LIKE for the Champion tonight!! 🍊
The family dynamic of this Elite Four is wonderful, I'm glad they did the dialogue this way. It's the little things that count. Yup, while the other Gym Leaders have one other job besides being a Gym Leader, Larry has three jobs in total. Gym, Elite Four, and office worker. He is based off an overworked Japanese salaryman, after all. No wonder he's so depressed like he hasn't seen his wife and children for ages. Larry's tie has clouds on it, which hints that Flying-type is his other specialty. Larry uses Flying-types because it references the fact Normal-Flying is the most abundant when it comes to dual-type Pokémon, and that Staraptor is his ace. Love how his Gym team is average while his Elite Four team is vibrant and quite the opposite. Him being there makes us get out our Fighting-types to counter his Normal, then he announces he uses Flying-types. What a troll he is.
When you think about the fact they foreshadowed that larry would have a flying type team later on during his gym battle, he has on a blue tie with clouds on it, its a detail thats easy to gloss over if not paying attention to details like that, I absolutely love this detail
Yeah I was about to say not counting remakes, Alola was the last Victory Road as the trail up Mount Lanakila was constructed by Kukui as Alola's Victory Road for the new league. But if you consider the fact this whole Gym story is called Victory Road, then you could say the Gym leaders and their Gym trainers are the trainers along a big Victory Road. Love the Elite Four music of this generation, it gives me Alola and Unova vibes. It doesn't have that touch of trumpet that the Hoenn Elite Four does, but it's still a solid theme as "Call an ambulance, but not for me!" music.
I really love how they handled the e4 here the fact they watch all of your matches is a really nice touch. and the interactions between them all is really cool too, they're like a family
I agreed on this one. The victory road from the past was fun and give some good challenge, test our ability that we've learning alot in the game, before we face the elite 4.
To be fair, since most of the Victory Roads required extensive HM usage, one for this game would have mostly consisted of "Have Koraidon/Miraidon style all over the cavern dungeon." Except now I also realize they might have dropped it to make the Elite Four more accessible instead of lock it behind the Titans quest. Of course, I guess they could just not do that, too.

If I’m being honest, I think repeating the same old tradition of the Victory Road does get very stale and boring even if it does test your skills and what you have learned, especially since that’s what the Gym Leaders are meant to do. If anything, I honestly think they should have brought back the Pokémon League style tournament that they did in Sword and Shied before you then go after the Elite Four and Champion.

@@vishwathayumanavan8777 Yeah, I can agree with that if I’m being perfectly honest with you. It always felt more like a chore than an actual training area or anything of the sorts-

I’d love to see a traveling group like this: Nemona as the girl who falls for Ash since she loves Pokémon battles and she could fall for Ash because of how unique his battle style and attitude for it is, Arven as the cook for the gang and as the travel member who knows a lot but hides the truth behind his Mabosstiff at first but Ash is willing to help Arven heal Mabosstiff regardless that he hid the truth from him, and Grusha as the traveling gym leader and Ash expresses his desire to battle him when it’s time to get his 8th badge and Grusha is interested in Ash’s battling tactics and gets more and more interested in Ash as he battles gym leader after gym leader (sort of like how Clemont did every time he saw Ash’s battles)

And it was the last victory road
I'm also glad they're real characters with interactions among themselves and personalities. I usually disliked e4 because they were new bosses at the end of the game to beat with zero substance and was glad gen 8 switched that up but this is even better
I just beat the Paldean Elite Four recently, and it was very fun. The music, the characters, and the challenge all made it a worthwhile Pokémon experience. For my team, I used; Meowscarada, Baxcalibur, Garganacl, Gardevoir, Goodra, and Torkoal.

Plus, on the side of too easy that way anyway… And the point of playing a game is for a/ the challenge, not ‘a grab bag of easy street’ lol
I think MO's the first person I see to NOT have Poppy as the hardest Elite 4 battle. No joke, had to use an item on her battle. Also. Tinkaton, best Pokémon in Paldea. Fight me.
In the poppy battle, not only did you set up a swords dance, but it’s ability Torrent also makes water type moves that much stronger because your Quaquaval was in the red
9:20 Ok, I have to COMPLETELY disagree with you here, two hundred percent! As the game is making sure you are paying attention, and not just selecting random answers. There’s *nothing* “stupid” about that! 90 or so percent of player probably play without reading or paying attention to anything, just when given multiple choice just click on WHATEVER… So it makes perfect sense. 13:39 oh wait a minute… This is the first time- in a long time at least that the game doesn’t give you the choice of ‘set or shift’ thing where you can opt to NOT get the option to switch mons as the computer does but ALSO just occurred to me; feels ironic that it’s the first time since the original Gold n’ Silver came out, that the Dark Type Move “Pursuit” is gone/ removed… So, no longer a fear of switching out manually without using an Pkmn move (aka volt switch etc) of being hit by the Pursuit attack when low hp and having you Pkmn knocked out as it’s switched lol… It’s interesting… very much so, to me 🤔 18:54 One last comment lol… Don’t you think it would have been funny/ perfect if Poppy had been the fourth, final and ‘strongest’ of the elite four? I have to say, now in hindsight, I sure as heck do! A kid, barely out of diapers as the strongest of the elite four? Lol total RIOT- but alas it’s not the case… lol
Yeah , The post game is awesome , I was waiting all this time for your reaction to it. Almost there , Maybe 2 more episodes. But I would like this comment to stay spoiler free and I think you would too. So , Yea , That's it for now , Really enjoying your videos.
I dislike how all the battles are on the same battlefield . I know how they did that in sword and shield but it was way cooler there. Good luck against the Champ Orange 🍊
My Quaquaval had Aqua Step, Ice Spinner, Brick Break and Aerial Ace as his moveset sooo...yeah uh he just absolutely DOMINATED everyone in the elite four battles. I didn't even need to switch out or heal at all cause he took down every single pokemon all by himself. It was satisfying to watch the opposing pokemon's HP going down to zero one by one. He even took down the Top Champion too. Yep I'm not kidding, he took on everyone alone. He must've been sooo ripped XD.
So they did have a specialist for all types but rock. Yes the titans did help but also they weren’t trainers. They had the ground type specialist as rika and great/iron tusk, poppy and Orthworm, Larry and Bombirdier and finally Hassel and Tatsugiri (and Dondozo). So maybe they’ll have a rock type specialist in dlc🤞
I don’t know if you noticed. The elite four at the least terastalizes into the 5 titan types because you didn’t technically battle trainers for those 5. They just assumed add them to the Elite 4 so a trainer specializes in all 18 types of Pokémon.
This was my team for Pokémon Scarlet Skeledirge Gallade Hydreigon Floatzel Crabominable Annihilape I gave my Gallade Leaf-Blade(Grass) for the Ground type Elite four.
“Make it rain” has to do with the Golden’s level. So level 100 you get 500 pok’e dollars like Meowth. Amulet Coin makes it 1000. It adds up not too bad if your grinding @MunchingOrange. Also one of my final team Pokémon.
For what it's worth, since the Pokemon League isn't really the finale for this game, I personally don't really mind the lack of a Victory Road. In SM, I thought it was a lot more understandable that people were missing one, since the only real equivalent was the canyon before the story climax, and the League only came after that as a somewhat unrelated thing, which of course they fixed in USUM with the League having its own Victory Road. In SwSh... well, it makes sense that there'd be no physical Victory Road, since it's way more of a sports thing in Galar, and at least the trainer battles of the Victory Road were more so replaced with the qualifying tournament where you have all your rival battles as well, although the lack of some "last dungeon" is definitely a shame. But SV does have that, and again, the League isn't the end in this game anyways, so I can take there being no "proper" Victory Road.
Champion assessment interview, it depends on the question asked, how you got there I don't think can be failed but the rest of them can be, I'll give you an example once I see a question that someone else failed at 7:02-7:08 that's the question I saw someone else streaming and failing it since they answered the "for fun" part of the option Probably because no one would be able to hear her in the office hence why they use the room behind her office as the battling room Will Munch notice that the Elite all have types matching the Titans? well not like Rika can use Donphan to even set anything up Funny you mentioned Heavy Slam on Copperajah since hers definitely knew that move and that actually compares the weight of the 2 and despite the name, it actually does more damage the lighter the target is in comparison to the user at least according to Bulbapedia Nope, Larry uses his Normal specialty for Gym battles and his Flying specialty for Elite battles. Make It Rain is calculated according to the user's level so it's like 5 times the level or something like that according to Bulbapedia Wait what was it with Flamigo and having a wind ability? Couldn't see anything like that or was it 1 of Larry's other members? Well dunno about Hassel and country of origins but I can tell you that it's adapted from his Japanese name of Hassaku which is a type of orange fruit and his Baxcalibur appears to be the only Elite member that doesn't have 4 moves
So you said you were conflicted on whether or not to have spoilers in your thumbnails? Please refrain from as many spoilers as possible, no matter how long it has been. Its a big part of why i have liked watching your content over the years, especially for the reactions when you yourself havent been spoiled either. Anyways thats just my take on it, love the vid and looking forward to ur reaction on the end 👍
Regarding Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, I feel like it was too dumbed down, too easy, like being about to change your team between the Elite 4? Really? That completely defeats the point of creating a solid team in the first place. Recently so many things that make pokemom challenging when we were kids is being removed, like catching pokemon not giving xp, like not having xp share from the beginning, like having to go to the pc to change pokemon, having to obtain HM’s and have HM slaves on your team… honestly it’s starting to get boring with how basic they’ve made it, dumb little minigames included, give me a battle, give me things that make me grind and train, so I feel accomplished when I beat the opponent. I remember grinding each pokemon individually to lvl 60 before taking on the pokemon league in the original Silver game… and leaf green game… I’m just upset they’ve turned Pokemon games into games that require no patience and determination.
Wait, Rika's a girl !!?! What in the Persona 4 They should bring back Long Arduous Victory Road's again and mix up the different kinds of caves/mountains they are. And they don't always have to be caves, they could make them fields, beaches, forests, an archipelago, or even an abandoned city
I _love_ the fact that this elite 4 has actual chemistry with each other. They feel like a little found family, with Rika being the only sane one holding everything together. Don't really care for Poppy but that's my only complaint. My fav E4 ever And I really like that a lot of trainers this gen have coverage

One of the teachers used to be the rock type gym leader
Welcome Back!!! Looking forward to new content.
I think Hassel's Father is Lance by the way.
U can tell Larry uses flying cuz of the clouds on his tie
I don’t know if you noticed. The elite four at the least terastalizes into the 5 titan types because you didn’t technically battle trainers for those 5. They just assumed add them to the Elite 4 so a trainer specializes in all 18 types of Pokémon.
Spoilers even after a month kinda suck when we need to catch up on videos and now know who the end boss is
This was my team for Pokémon Scarlet
Skeledirge
Gallade
Hydreigon
Floatzel
Crabominable
Annihilape
I gave my Gallade Leaf-Blade(Grass) for the Ground type Elite four.
@𝒯ℋℰ 𝒰𝒩ℬℰ𝒜𝒯𝒜ℬℒℰ 𝒞ℋ𝒜ℳ𝒫ℐ𝒪𝒩 ℒℰ𝒪𝒩 !!! Maybe it was a typo and they were gonna write a different Pokémon but wrote Hydreigon twice.
@𝒯ℋℰ 𝒰𝒩ℬℰ𝒜𝒯𝒜ℬℒℰ 𝒞ℋ𝒜ℳ𝒫ℐ𝒪𝒩 ℒℰ𝒪𝒩 !!! That was a mistake. I was typing so fast I typed in the same name. I fixed it.
There it is!
“Make it rain” has to do with the Golden’s level. So level 100 you get 500 pok’e dollars like Meowth. Amulet Coin makes it 1000. It adds up not too bad if your grinding @MunchingOrange. Also one of my final team Pokémon.
Best german accent EVERRRRR!!!
Let’s get them likes up im trying to see this ending battle tonight 🤣
So hyped for the E4 ❤️
Part 3 13:55 silver said, " It's no use" not, " Their no use"
Who?
Congrats
The champions team is around level 60
Hassel would've probably defeated you if it wasn't for revival blassing lol
Elite Four is finally here
❤❤
Petition to bring Fuego back for an All-Star tournament
Imma have to catch one in those 7 Star Raids this weekend 😬
All the elite four types r the same types as the titans
Ooh that's a cool detail I didn't notice! Probably because they don't actually use the "Titan" Pokemon 😅
@@MunchingOrange lol
@@MunchingOrange Would be fun if they had a team of 6 with the final pokemon being the titan
Champion assessment interview, it depends on the question asked, how you got there I don't think can be failed but the rest of them can be, I'll give you an example once I see a question that someone else failed at 7:02-7:08 that's the question I saw someone else streaming and failing it since they answered the "for fun" part of the option
Probably because no one would be able to hear her in the office hence why they use the room behind her office as the battling room
Will Munch notice that the Elite all have types matching the Titans?
well not like Rika can use Donphan to even set anything up
Funny you mentioned Heavy Slam on Copperajah since hers definitely knew that move and that actually compares the weight of the 2 and despite the name, it actually does more damage the lighter the target is in comparison to the user at least according to Bulbapedia
Nope, Larry uses his Normal specialty for Gym battles and his Flying specialty for Elite battles.
Make It Rain is calculated according to the user's level so it's like 5 times the level or something like that according to Bulbapedia
Wait what was it with Flamigo and having a wind ability?
Consider that "Victory Road" is actually the name of the treasure hunt involving the gyms and the league
You so right
Wait, Rika's a girl !!?! What in the Persona 4
They should bring back Long Arduous Victory Road's again and mix up the different kinds of caves/mountains they are.
And they don't always have to be caves, they could make them fields, beaches, forests, an archipelago, or even an abandoned city
A entire island
Aiiiiiiii , Before 1 hour
That sounded a lot more like French accent honestly 😅
Guess I spent too much time in Kalos 😂
@@MunchingOrange theres other story waiting and that is the legendary pokemons and the Area zero
That’s gotta be my favorite postgame in a Pokémon ever, it’s so epic!
I was actually thinking of Steve Martins character in Pink Panther whenever I heard the accent and I love that 😄
I _love_ the fact that this elite 4 has actual chemistry with each other. They feel like a little found family, with Rika being the only sane one holding everything together. Don't really care for Poppy but that's my only complaint. My fav E4 ever
And I really like that a lot of trainers this gen have coverage
Yesssss let’s go :)
We need the next episode ASAP!
I definitely agree. Gyms were way too easy kind of disappointing lol.
MunchingOrange i hope you have a nice day
WHY IS THERE A TODDLER IN THE ELITE FOUR
WHERE ARE HER PARENTS
I mean Hassel is her grandpa so that counts
