This was immensely helpful. I haven't found anyone else who compared them in such a way that you could actually meaningfully see the screens. I'm watching this video on the 1440 version, and your 4K looks much better, even more so when I watch on my Lenovo chromebook. Not even close. All the variables like RUclips compression and my own monitors affect both equally, so having them side-by-side really gives a good comparison.
27" is too small for 1:1 4K res. on 16:9. Best res. for this size is 1440p. Especially if you do UI work. To utilize 4K at least "31.1 or preferably 32" is optimal. In that regard my recommendation is the Eizo ColorEdge CG319X 32 4K. This product also has much better Adobe RGB coverage if you do photographic work and the best color accuracy on the market.
Hello Sir, Epic video 👌 Epic channel 😃 Congratulations.I really need your opinion: I'm undecided between the Asus Proart 279cv , BenQ PD2705U and Lg 27un880-b, based on your experience and knowledge, which of the three do you think is the best buy? I'm going to use this monitor for web design, web content, programming and also for watching movies and series. My office has a window that is usually open. The window is 4 meters away from the monitor. What do you think? Thanks in advance
I see many gaming monitors having better AdobeRGB coverage and 100 % SRGB or close at lower prices and much higher HZ. Is there any reason to buy this over a monitor like the Gigabyte M27Q or others? Other than 4K resolution
If you're considering to buy a monitor for gaming, I think this ProArt gamma are not for that. They are more focused in color accuracy for design, photography and content creation
The monitors Like Dell U series, Asus PA series, Benq PD series, and some other brands like Eizo are well known for their color accuracy , some of them are not wide color that means limited to 100% or 99% srgb, and some of them are wide color with full coverage of adobe rgb and dcip-3, whatever they are are tend to be color accurate and having separate color spaces like srgb Dcip3, adobe rgb, or rec 709 etc in monitor menu, Whearas the gaming monitors with wide color wont be accurate , some of them will be accurate though, they are not factory calibrated , but u can use them for professional use if u have a monitor calibrator or if u get the exact color profile that supports the monitor
@@RicardoCostaDesignHello, I like colors with good quality and resolution, especially when I watch movies, videos on the Internet and when I enjoy watching digital family photos, I like saturated colors, do you recommend this monitor only for multimedia or the aforementioned. I did not edit photos or videos
Is there a big noticeable difference between 4K and QHD on the resolution side? Is it noticeable the pixelation in QHD in normal daily use? Should I wait and buy the 4K?
regarding the question about how warm the screens are - surely this is part of the calibration that helps ensure colour accuracy? after all, screens by default are usually /aggressively/ blue tinted to make whites look extra crisp (at the expense of your eyeballs), in a way that paper and print will never be.
Hey Ricardo I'm a Product Designer and I'm planning to buy this monitor, I just wanna know your opinion on this monitor. Do you think is it perfect for product designer? Is it good for doing UI Design? Do you find any color shift on this, like you choose a HEX code and it shows a slightly different color? Thanks in advance ☺️
Hello. In reviews of the ProArt Display PA279CRV monitor, customers complain about PWM, that their eyes get tired, and someone hurts when working on this monitor, probably because of PWM, or something else. How can you comment on this situation with the monitor, is it worth buying it, given this drawback, is it a marriage, or do all monitors have such bad features? Thanks .
Great work! Did you scale the display in your macbook? Or use the default scalling? I have a concern that scalling affects the performance. I need to switch to 2K from 4k because of this scalling issue. I appreciate if you help me.
Yes, I have the same use case. Right now I'm using the 2022 mcbook 16' M1 Pro and I don't notice any performance issues. By the way, I have now the ProArt PA329 as main monitor, and PA279 as second, both working at the same time and not having issues.
Thanks for a Great video! Do you think its worth the detta money to get The 279cv over The 278qv ? I do landskapet Photo and RUclips videos. Might print som but not much :) thanks again for The video:)
@@WilliamBHP The video is about the PA27"9"CV. The comment above is asking about the same model number, the only difference being one is CV and one is QV. I've also been researching the difference since both are sold where I'm from for exactly the same price.
I don't have the calibrator tool but I believe it is possible. And related to user profiles, you can have up to 2 user profiles, plus the standard color palletes provided by ProArt
I don't know, currently I am only using Asus PA278QV and 279CV for creative cloud. But I searched for its specs and it looks very good also for that kind of work, however is more advised for gaming.

For the things that I do I don't notice so much difference. And in most of the cases I don't use 4K, keep both in 2K.

hello do you know the difference between PA278CV and PA279CV?
It’s not much, in terms of image resolution the PA279 is slightly better. The rest is connectivity that I’ve mention in the video
Thank you the review I needed!
Glad you like it!
So the difference in price is basically connectivity? I really just simply want to color grade videos
It's the resolution as well. The qv is 2.5k and the cv is 4k. Just google the two and you will find a side by side comparison.
Why are colours looking different in the 2 if both are 100srgb
good question
Its due to color gamma
PA279CV has 1073741824 colors and 32 bit
PA278QV has 16777216 colors and 24 bit

There is some blurry text problem with this monitor?
Does the pa279cv had suffer backlight bleed ? Mine does, on the right upper corner 😢 it is noticeable on black scene while watching movie
Mine is working fine, currently I have it for one year and no problem. Sad to know that

Hi, between the ASUS ProArt 27" PA278QV and the Dell S2721QS which one do you recommend ?
I haven't used or tested the Dell, but I am very satisfied with the Asus ProArt PA278QV :)
@@RicardoCostaDesign Perfect thanks, does the monitor suffer from black bleed or ips glow ?
did you need to buy any adapter mounts for the pa279cv and the pa278qv when mounting it on the VIVO dual monitor stand?
I keep using the same cables that come with the monitors. It's enough ;)

Or there are differences

sir is it good for adobe creative cloud all apps? is text pixelated?
It’s very good for CC apps, I used them everyday. The text is not pixelated
Hi. can this play video files from USB?
Yes. The usb ports works like a normal usb port in the computer.
Does the monitor work well an old laptop i7-7700hq and 1050ti?
I believe so
I have a question about this monitor. Is this monitor (pa279cv)a 10-bit or 8-bit monitor according to Asus' claim?
From Asus specifications they mention it's a 10 bit display. In my case, I haven't experienced any bending or flickering.
It's 8-bit + FRC
@@EugWankeronly 8 bit,that's a little bit of a let down. I was really hoping that it'd be 10 bit...
Can the asus pa279cv be daisy chained?
I use mac, and due to its system it doesn’t allow to it. On windows systems I don’t know about it…
which mode should i use on monitor. ? Native mode or Adobe RGB mode? which one shold i use ?
It dependes on your use case. When I'm editing I use sRGB mode, but when I'm just browsing or preparing work I vary between Standard or Reading mode.
Could you set up a user profile and use a color calibration tool to calibrate it to the Adobe RGB color space?
I don't have the calibrator tool but I believe it is possible. And related to user profiles, you can have up to 2 user profiles, plus the standard color palletes provided by ProArt
