Perfectly fine question. No, there is no risk of bans at all. Besides, Rise is not like an MMO. There's also plenty of tutorials out there if you're interested. It not that complicated.
That is definitely a factor as well, but if you watch the Rise modded with World sounds at the later half of the vid, It just shows an improvement in the impact and weight of the hit.
The mods don’t do the sound justice. I say this because the mod sounds get clipped (idk the right term) when there’s multi hit like dual blades (you’ll notice it somewhere around 8:36) Sound and music in video games are underappreciated and often overlooked by devs, and unfortunately rise got the short end of the stick
It's still a fan made project so it's far from perfect. The mods definitely have some issues if you read through the comments of the mod page. I don't use a lot of dual blades so I haven't really noticed bugs on that one. Haven't really encountered any crazy issues myself. That's why I've included two mods that does similar things just in case of issues with the other mod. True, I immediately heard the lackluster sound in RIse just when the Demo came out. Dunno what decision making the studio had for this.
True, hit stop, screen shakes, & zoom are some of the visual effects that greatly factor into this. I just wanted to highlight the one thing for this video. The mod also illustrates how changing one factor, the hit sound, can improve the impact and feel of combat.
Can you concretely say if I ONLY use these mods I won’t get banned? My partner and I just spent 60 hours to get to sunbreak and I’d hate to get banned.
I won't say I'm a modding expert, but cosmetic or audio mods in my experience are client side mods, therefore they should not warrant any bans. Besides, Rise or any other mainline MH is not a fully live service/online game like an MMO. As far as I know modding MH games won't get you banned. I'd advise you to still do you own reading about it though. Remember to carefully read the notes on every specific mod's page as well. I'd advice against cheat-like mods though, you might get the ire of most communities, especially when playing online. But hey, it's your game, do what you want with it.
Hard disagree, I find it sounds really weak compared to World's "piercing" sound where it actually sounds like you're pushing through scale & flesh. But hey, to each it's own.
Is there any chance I can get banned for using this mod? Sorry if it's a dumb question, I'm usually pretty paranoid about modding online games lol

Careful with "cheat" mods though. It's generally frowned upon by most people especially online, but hey, it's your game.
It’s not the sound that does it. The gravity of the hit is mostly transferred by screen shake and hit stop. Which are both reduced in rise
That is definitely a factor as well, but if you watch the Rise modded with World sounds at the later half of the vid, It just shows an improvement in the impact and weight of the hit.
Sound design is so overlooked for most people.
Yeah, It makes or breaks my level of enjoyment with most games.
For me it's the almost the complete lack of chase music in rise.
It's there but it never triggers when the monster flees like in world
Oh, I never actually noticed that.

I don't have this problem, mainly because i make my own sounds in my head
Hehe, sounds fun.
I think the so is a piece of a larger set, the quick and sudden movement of various animations ends up taking away the impact and weight of the weapon

I noticed MH Wilds had the same issue with the sword not sounding impactful compared to World.
In some cases yeah, but I'm liking most of the sounds of Wilds. With the updated hit stops it's definitely sounds pretty satisfying so far.

yeah but
Hinoa and Minoto >>>> the annoying pest that call you ''HEY PARTNER''
Lol, that's why I often used other Language VOs in World.
I actually liked rise and sunbreak yda there is a big gap too world but i liked it kinda more
Like I said, I really like Rise. I just find the hit sounds lacking for the most part.
Yeah I like rise more than world
@@Mrbookworm-k4v This is not a Rise Vs World Game comparison. Just the hit sounds.
I don't play with sound on so I don't care about sound design
Same lol
Hehe, Interesting
And I generally prefer the combat system of rise

The sfx for lance attack's is better in monster hunter rise.

DUDE if you main gunlance i have the perfect fix for the sound
