      Triceps aren't a major injury, but the recovery time is major since six months feels like an eternity. His other injury was a fluke injury when he did a stage dive and hit his foot on a barricade. He took all the blame for that since it was a dumb way to get it an injury. Major injuries are like what happened to Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, or Edge, where we thought they may never wrestle again.

    The thing with professional wrestling is that you typically "fake" or "act" injured to sell the move your opponent has just hit you with. Normally if a guy is DDT'ed, he'll lay seemingly unconscious or grab his head or face. The fact that he instantly reacted by grabbing his elbow when the move was used suggests he was in some real discomfort. That being said, i can also see WWE saying it is a full tear and will take months of recovery, only to have him come back before he should to make him seem tougher and get him more over with fans.

    1:16 thank you for saying storyline ( I hate when people call it fake , I'll revert back to that in a bit ) I do love your videos on regular sports ( like you said you don't do a lot of wrestling content ) but the only logical reason I can think of for him being able to do those pushups is pure adrenaline , it's one hell of a drug . Ironic how he was facing Cody Rhodes in the final two who famously tore his pec right off the bone prior to a match with Rollins and although he was told it would be okay if he said no , he still insisted on going through with the intended main event match torn pec , major bruise and all . Triple H tore his quad off the bone in a tag match back in 2002 and still finished it ( even though there was 10 minutes left in it ) . It's SCRIPTED not fake , can't fake falling off 20 foot ladders or slamming through tables can only be taught how to do the bumps relatively safely .

    • @vileluca
      @vileluca 3 месяца назад +10

      Right.
      It's "fake" in as much as a sword fight on stage during a play is.

      Chael Sonnen said it best, pro wrestling is a cooperation. Competitive sports push competition not cooperation, pro wrestling is a show. It’s very odd cus you hook their arms like a pedigree and mankind did the ddt also and triple and mick never hurt anybody’s arms ? (I don’t think); this was just a freak accident Punk took the bump his tricep was hooked and extended and it tore.

    As well on monday night he uses the injured arm as a weapon to strike drew 2 or 3x then proceeds to get it stepped on. My question is how was this done if hes hurt wouldn't that hurt him worse?

    I think the WWE company are gonna use CM punk like edge maybe give him a championship run but ultimately he'll leave when he's had enough or retire. The part timers we had in WWE as of 2010 Undertaker, Triple H, Goldberg, Kane, John cena, Triple H, Kevin Nash+various legends ect

    WWE/WWF wrestlers over the years are known to try to finish the match through injury if they can and get a lot of respect for it. Another instance of this is Cody Rhodes starting the match with a pec injury.

    If you think Punk doing a push up with a tricep tear makes you question if the injury is legitimate you should cover when Triple H tore his quad mid matched and finished the match and see how wrestlers deal with injuries during matches.
