This has to be one of the most Ant-man injuries imaginable. I hope it isn't too serious, this kid is just way too much fun to watch.
He's all good, dude won't miss more than 1 or 2 games with an injury like that. He might not even miss any. Dudes tough as hell
If there is no fracture, then he should be good to play the next game aside from some minor pain which they prob make him take some pain killers.
Had that happen to my finger (obviously not dunking on someone). Like doc said they’ll just pop it back into place and it’ll hurt like a bitch for a few weeks but he’s good
The speed at which you get these vids out is impressive
Seriously
I swear I just got the alert from ESPN about the dunk of the year and before I could check it out I'm watching this instead
The Anatomy Tool is becoming a big part of my week.
he a real fan
This is the first time I’ve seen you analyze a murder.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
That's that Blake Griffin-type slam; never touching the rim
Thrunk*
Those are way more aesthetically pleasing to the eye than a regular dunk ..
He dislocated his finger on the rim
He didn't touch the rim. Left hand jammed into the guys face.
They discussed at the beginning...
ok john 😂
Doc, All I see is one ANT man epic dunk and immortalizing John Collins to millions of kids walls all over the world. Edwards will be fine and Collins too
This is a dumb comment.
foul of the year
Calm down mate
Doc the type of dude who submits his paper after the proctor says "timer starts now".
John Collins got injured too, head contusion
nah contusion where? cheeks?
@@cornflakes3071that’s funny weird not funny haha
Doc instantly started recording. God bless
Doc, you’re the best. This was so fast
Yes, the speed at which you put out videos IS impressive. However, what's more amazing is your ability to articulate the medical terminology with seemingly stream-of-consciousness. This ability is a testament to your depth of knowledge in your medical area - - on the level of the fictitious character Gregory House M. D. VERY Impressive.
Doc is on the clock.
Thanks for the breakdown.
Doc really just wanted to post this banger on his channel and rewatch it over and over.
man the way he landed on his left leg, very lucky
I appreciate you Dr. Sutterer
When someone get hurt, the first thing I do is look for you to get your reaction.
Our human body never ceases to amaze. Thanks Dr Brian.
BROOOOOO....THAT WAS A MURDER !!! WTF !!!
nahhhh. Baptism
woah murder so cool!!! its basketball you nerd touch grass
Offensive foul. Can't stiff arm someone's eye. Lol.
@@Pacers03343 yeah like, it's his fault for having Collins face in the way 🙄
1. He's inside the restricted line (that alone is not offensive foul)
2. He wasn't in a guarding position (put his arms up way too late)
3. HE GOT MURDERED !!!!
@delcastilloian doesn't matter if inside the restricted zone, still can't stiff arm someone. You can still get call for a charge if you push off inside the restricted zone. All it does is differentiate between block/charge when a defender is on the ground. It's there to protect attackers from defenders from sliding under them when jumping, has nothing to do with stiff arms and push offs.
Thank you for the lesson.
I did that once clawing down the aisle on an airplane, about to be sick, really jambbed my fingers into his face instead of the headrest. All I think about now is I hope he had glasses on...
this is why I wanna see this outlawed. This is an offensive foul. Period. Not only is it an illegal play, it's dangerous for both parties. Refs need to do better to get rid of the offhand help at the rim.
Great play, always love seeing Ant rise up, but that offhand needs to stay out of the play.
It is legal to lead with your off arm
How is it an offensive foul when Ant is clearly in the air before Collins even leaves the floor? Plus Collins is in that unrestricted area on the floor, so yeah very within the rules.
if its Dillon brooks thats offensive foul, if its american super star player thats good
I get your point, but in this case, the play would still be legal and a no-call. Collins rises up into Ant's path, and Ant's off-arm happens to be in a natural position.
Granted, you could ask players to keep their hands behind their backs, or maybe tie their arms behind them to prevent the natural movement that comes with trying to jump off the run.
Maybe amputation of the off-arm would solve everything? But that would be a shame for the ambidextrous players.
Thrunk isn't a dunk, but John Collins soul was snatched all the same.
It's a dunk man
Thrunk is literally a form of dunk.
Love this breakdown
Hey doc I was curious your opinions on the OG update on his elbow. He got surgery yet has been screaming upon shooting the ball of late.
Yea we need this
Doc I know your bread and butter is analyzing injuries as they happen, you do a fantastic job of that, there's no one like you on RUclips.
But if you have any insight to share as to when OG might be expected back and what he's going through, I know that sort of analysis doesn't exactly fit what you're known for, but it would be very well appreciated all the same.
Ant used his finger as a spring placed on John Collins‘ face, just to get some additional lift. The all-time epic dunk/thrunk was worth the dislocation 😅
I fractured the last top joint on a dislocation plus that last filangy (spelt that wrong) was cracked right down the middle... docs told me nothing they could do and to live my life but make sure to keep moving my fingers as the bone is now in the joint and could fuse if not moved for a while
Good job doctor
Rather ironic he hurt his off hand on that crazy dunk. Hopefully he recovers soon.
the way ant landed on that left knee looked painful playing that explosive makes it look great to sports center not for longevity hope he finds a balance
Ants ability to always land safely is one of his most incredible attributes
@@Vikings-zr6dr I know but that one didn’t look safe looked like something straight out of prime Derrick roses book or Ja Morant I didn’t like seeing all of his weight landing on that left knee swear to god when I saw the first few seconds of the video I thought it was his left until brain said Hand I’ve just seen too many athletes cut out of their primes too quick and seeing ant man suffer it would be like a knife to the gut
DOC you are the GOAT, hopefully ANT is able to heal quickly
Hey doc, how similar is this injury to the one Scottie Barnes suffered earlier this year?
Can you make a video on Gabriel Vilardi’s enlarged spleen? Not sure what to make of it
Doc, I had a dislocated ring finger (no fracture) last July in a game. Not sure what is it called, my two upper phalanges were laterally displaced in comparison to the lower phalange. That was last July. Still slightly swollen. Any chance my finger gets back to normal size?
Drop the Brandon Ingram injury video please 🙏
Thanks
Can u Do a vid on Kevin Hearder’s shoulder injury Kings Vs Grizzlies
Collins getting that next law and order SVU episode
I’d appreciate a video on Kevin McCullar from Kansas and his bone bruise that has kept him from playing for much of the last half of the season. Can a bone bruise be as bad as a fracture? Or where in the knee could a bone bruise be this disabling?
Be honest Dr. Sutterer, you just wanted to post this amazing dunk on your channel. 😂
To all you ballers out there... know the players who have a tendency to throw hard pass at close range... We had a guy in highschool get thrown a stupid hard pass at like 12 ft or so, the result a dislocated pinky, a dislocated ring finger, and a broken middle finger for one of our teams best players... and the dude who threw it just kept passing that way.
I thought the doc had his finger taped up too from recording these so fast.
I'd like to see your analysis on SloMo's reaction to the dunk. 🤣
Ok, so no evaluation on John Collins face?! 😂 Anything "distorted" definitely deserves an evaluation😂😖😂
Losers don't get analysis, only winners (there also isn't much evidence to go off to make a prediction on Collins since he went off floor almost immediately)
League needs to start calling fouls on players initiating contact with their off-hand while in air.
It’s to brace while in the air that’s why it’s not a foul
@@Raqz-3three No, it’s not. Ant sticked his hand out the moment he jumped; he was clearly balanced at that point. He does it every single time and it’s to push his defender down and to gain elevation. This is consistently called a foul if a defender does it and any hand to face contact is consistently called a foul even on the floor. It’s a dangerous play that can knock someone out of balance in air or claw someone’s eye out. Absolutely no one should be praising this kind of behavior.
@@JohnSmith-oc6gm it is to brace himself in the air. You understand that at that elevation with the defense jumping trying to contest poses more harm to him than anything. They are under him in the landing zone why would he not try to catch himself?
@@Raqz-3three Are you talking to me or yourself? You are literally not addressing a single one of the point I made.
I’ll take 10 steps back and give you the benefit of doubt that he has 0 core strength, cannot maintain balance in air like other dunkers and has to claw at anything he can to not land on his face. That would be his problem. If you can’t drive a car in a straight line, you don’t get the right to drive into people or other cars. You get your license taken away. John Collins needed be assessed for concussion. Is his heath less of a concern?
And this is purely from a safety stand point, not going into the integrity of the game.
@@JohnSmith-oc6gm I did address your point though I’m not gonna talk about your little side comments if that’s what you’re referring to I was sinply reiterating what I said because it seems you don’t understand. Ant is not the only dunker that does this. We’ve seen Ja do it multiple times on his almost dunks DJ did it Brandon Knight back in the Lob City Clippers day, Zion has done it, the rookie in Charlotte, and believe it or not John Collins has also done it. It doesn’t just fall to core strength if you have someone below you jumping as well they do it for safety that’s why it is not considered a foul. Or would you rather the dunker get his legs clipped out from under him and fall face first? These aren’t cars they are people
A game didn't see, shame edwards got hurt. Thanks doctor.
We need a video about ausar Thompson’s blood clot
Athletes named Anthony have terrible luck
No
???
Also hit his left hand with his right hand om the follow through
This was a throw dunk. insane
What about his ankles he keeps rolling and playing through?
Cant believe you showed the replay! That's waaay too graphic to be showing on YT! You might get a strike on your channel!🤣
🤭
Please talk about Asuar Thompson’s blood clot.
Dr. Brian wastes NO time! 😂
01:23 The chicks in background are from mythic quest?
I've had 3 dislocations like this. assuming there are no complications he won't miss any time. you can totally shoot it even if it was his shooting hand he wouldn't miss any time.
Ahh yes Phoebe's favourite, the Phalanges
Better than a lot of dunks.🇯🇲
The diffrent THROWING and DUNKING
Pls explain....
Dunk with right hand injured his left hand ???
can you do Naz Reid’s head injury next please? These are coming in clutch for my fantasy bball leagues lol 🙏
Ant doing his best prime Vince Carter
jesus christ that dunk!!! fxcken distracted me the whole start of the video. what a poster.
Ant tried to pick Collins’ nose when dunking. Wow!
In this Era of NBA it’s like we have the likes of all the greats in the league all at once except for Shaq we got jokic
No mention of collins concussion? Strange.
Isn’t that an offensive foul poking defender in the face?!
I mean, it’s an amazing athletic play - but it’s a foul!
Can you really call it a dunk if the dude never even touched the rim?
it'd be funny if this video was just the doc going OHHHHHHHHH
half an inch away from gouging his fucking eye out damn
Smell my fingers😮
Relax folks that's not a dunk. Rather a powerful above the rim throw down, a crazy athletic play by Ant nonetheless. Remember Griffin dunk on Mozgov?
Where's the Austin Reeves injury video???
Edwards nearly gouged out Collins eyeball, but let's discuss the finger Edwards used to stab John Collins in the face.
YOU WORK FAST DOC!
Does this man works at a Hospital as a part-time Doctor or is he a Doctor converted into RUclipsr fully?
First play of tonight's Lakers game might also be in the running for DoTY.
Yeah, now THAT was actually a dunk. Ant just threw the ball in.
Every time he dunk he get hurt…
This isn't even a dunk though 😂
It's a dunk😊
@@frankradcliff660 it certainly isn't, unless definitions don't mean anything to you.
@@veganpottertheveganwhat is it then? A fucking layup? Lmao
@thorkagemob1297 it's oddly enough, closer to a jumpshot. Or a missed dunk that happened to go in. Look up the definition of a dunk and you'll see that this doesn't fit
If You don't touch the rim, it ain't a dink
Bro still dropped 15 more points after that
This should've been a injury to John Collins soul video
looks insta karma to me 😅
Surprised his left leg was completely fine considering he landed on it solely
Antman always finishes his dunks
He’s the polar opposite of Ja 😂
So it was an offensive foul
Modern day Derrick Rose
happens all the time in football
Regina Philange ?
Bassetball...That the sport where you can run with ball?
How can that be consider a dunk by only touching the rim only
Not a dunk
Shame on you for ignoring the injury to John Collin’s on the play
Edwards didnt even land on the floor and here is thevideo
Points in the paint including dunks should be awarded 3-points and the current 3-points should be awarded 2 points. The closer to the basket, the greater the intelligence and creativity to score because of the increase in the intensity of the defense, as well as the possibility of injury. Because of these increased risks, the reward should also be increased. This will intensify and make defense more versatile as well as the creativity of the offense.
So you’re saying that this plane is missing the left phalange
Baby Jordan. Can't wait till he's on the Lakers.
ANT ain't human.
Free med school on youtube 🙏🏿
That could have ended with a bad eye poke too. Is there any need to extend your open hand directly into the defender's face?
Collins almost got his eye destroyed. And I'm a huge MN fan, but it's pretty obvious even to me that Edwards fouled Collins on the way up.
I'm an old man. That was a hard floater, not a dunk.
I thought he hurt his knee
Ant pulled Kobe, pop it back in place and go. Hopefully it was nothing too serious
