Lets talk about the differences between the Dimplex revillusion fireplace and the Napoleon element fireplace. Both are excellent but offer different features between the two. First off the Element is much more affordable then the Dimplex but does offer less features and only is available in one size. A 36”. Whereas the dimplex fireplace offers 5 sizes, 25”, 30”, 36”, 36” Portrait (TALL), and a 42”. On top of all the size differences there are different background colors, for a more traditional look you can get the brick herringbone pattern, and for something more modern and simple, you can do the weathered concrete. If that isn’t enough choices the dimplex offers 3 different log sets to choose from. The glowing oak being standard, and you can purchase additionally the birch logs or split oak. Although neither of these log sets have any glow to them which is kind of a bummer. Also there are different trim kits available with operable doors as a nice add on. Also the dimplex does a great job of reducing glare. Which is a big plus in the electric fireplace category. So it seems the dimplex is superior in every way possible. So it begs the question? Why would you ever buy the Napoleon? Well the answer is in the pricing. Napoleon is a fraction of the price, and I would say the new Napoleon is the most attractive electric I have ever seen for the price. So which one do you buy?
If your on a budget- Buy the Napoleon, it will save you hundreds of dollars,
If you have the money to spend buy the revillusion because its superior in every way except price.

This really helped me out in deciding between the two. Great review!
Glad I could help!
Even if I might not buying it, at least this is actual review of electric fireplace. The rest of other videos are only showing still photos with loud background music. Thank you.
thanks!
Today I went to a local fireplace store and viewed the Dimplex Revillusion and the Napolean. Both were on display. To my surprise I did NOT like the Dimplex better..and it's almost double the price! The Dimplex flame was a kind of pale color...not fiery red like the Napolean. I also prefer the clean black background of the Napolean. The fan on the Napolean was extremely quiet! So quiet I could barely hear it but when I put my hand by the vent the air was coming out. To me, the Napolean had the more realistic look. And though the 36" is currently the only option in the Element series it will work for me and is a good size w plenty of viewing area. I was quoted $1099 for this unit and for the overall quality, look, size, 2 year warranty - I believe this is a compelling option for a traditional fireplace style insert box. In fact, given it's half the price of the Dimplex I can buy 2 of these - and put one in the basement AND one in the living room!
cool
Are you familiar with Majik Flame inserts? I am wondering it compares to the Dimplex Revullison. Majik Flame inserts are purchased directly from the manufacturer in Nashville, TN. It’s a lot of money to spend without being able to see the product in person before buying.
I feel like I've heard of them, but not sure. I agree that is pretty risky. Honestly, the two in this video have the best reputation and customer service in the electric fireplace industry. Any fireplace from Napoleon or Dimplex will be great and you will have a solid company behind your purchase.
Thank you 🙏 for reviews
My pleasure 😊
I'm torn between these two fireplaces can you please tell me which one you think looks more realistic? Modern Flames Redstone Built-In Electric Fireplace - 36" vs Dimplex Revolution 36" built in? TY
I like Redstone for several reasons. the flames look better and more color options. check out this video ruclips.net/video/6sK9cmQWoec/видео.html
@@embersliving What does the flame look realistic like the Dimplex? On the Redstone is the flame only in the very back? Thanks so much for your response I appreciate it! 🙂
@@maggiecollinsphotography195 So both of the flames come from the back on these, but the dimplex has a mirror in the back making it look like its in the middle the red stone does not have that. As far as real flame goes its really up to you, but the red stone is cool because you can change the flame to a bunch of colors too .
@@maggiecollinsphotography195 Modern flames fire is one dimensional (behind the logs), the Dimplex fire looks more realistic in my opinion. I am saving for the European Homes fire. Am almost there but not quite ready to buy yet. I look at a lot of electric fireplaces and I keep coming back to it. Will probably buy from Embers.
@@janielarson9641 Thank you so much! Im gonna ordered the Dimplex. I tried to order it through Embers but they never called me back. 🙁
The one you’re getting looks absolutely amazing!!!! 😍
Does the dimplex make “cracking” sounds?
no
This was helpful - thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Curious what the little one on the top left (from viewer perspective) is? Considering replacing my 23" unit in my TV stand (it's modern & thinking of going cozy with logs instead)
its the Napoleon cinema series
Nice review
Thanks!
Does the Dimplex 36" portrait have any pre-made mantels that fit it? Could you link to any that would fit nicely?
not the portrait just the regular
Hi Trevor, thanks for clear information! I'm planning a new house build and am looking for an electric FP to be the visual centerpiece along a great room wall. Would Napolean or Revillusion be easier to set up with a mantel and possible step up from the floor (I think you call that a hearth?). Ceilings are 9' and wall is about 30' long and has doors near each end. Any advice or other product reccomendations are welcome.
chris
yeah I would say the dimplex offers more finish solutions and provides an overall cleaner look all around.
Is the log set and flame pattern the same size in the Dimplex Revill. 42" and 36" Portrait?
yes they are
Why do none of these videos turn on the heaters so we can hear them?
the camera wouldn't even pick it up haha. they aren't loud
is dimplex 5051 good? do you recciomend
not familiar with that one
What is the best 26 inch insert? Please abandon thank you!
hmm, Napoleon makes a good one
Thank you - entertaining and informative!
I can make a fire colorful like a rainbow. Are you interested?
no
I have a real fire place and want to show an image of real fireplace. I think I prefer electric but gas ok. My fireplace has two side open so that is the issue.
that will be pretty tricky
thanks
To be honest element looks better!
fair

thanks
dude you only talking about the looks and lights but never say anything about the heat and how strong the heaters are
if you are a seller man i think you 're not a good one, you will never going to make me buy from you
ha thanks for the feedback, I will work on my sales skills, a lot to work on!
