AIT has changed since I was in 86-90. My AIT was 46weeks its was at Ft. Devens (which they moved to Ft Huachuca) For me in 86-87 AIT the first 4 weeks we were supposed to stay on post and in uniform. After that you only had to be in uniform while on duty. Last formation was usually at 1700 after PT then you were free until morning formation. Once a month we would have battalion inspection always on a Saturday morning. So a couple of nights leading up too that would be a lot of cleaning. If we had the opposite sex in our room you had better have the door open.
Do it with door open? So battle buddies get free entertainment by watching or may be some nco could join in too? May be do the Caligula thing with whole battalion? May be some Russians too idk. I like 80ies
I’m leaving for Basic in less than a week and I was curious about how Fort Huachuca is for AIT. My MOS has me there for 40 weeks so I’m curious about how the phases will work out.
When I went through AIT that is when they started to have Cell Phone along with Laptops! The main thing they had was the Desktops! When I was at Ft Bliss, one of the things they told us not to do is going out and try to kill yourself with getting credit as there were a lot of people who ran huge bills up only to get in trouble. As for Passes we couldn't do anything for the 1st 2 weeks when we started school and being at Ft Bliss we were actually off post. Have a great day and stay safe.
Hello, I'm a concerned army mom. My son is in fort Huachuca for 35f ait . He just told me he failed his 1st school test?? And he was told he would be coming home. I'm confused by this? I've been trying to read up on this, but can't find actual answers. Don't they have multiple tests or retest? Or reclass ? Is this the end of his army career? He sounded pretty upset and I'm just as confused...I just would like to understand......help!!??
I'll be at fort huachuca too for ait and my mos is the same as yours so thank you for this information, not a lot over our mos out there😂 also did you ever get weekends off when you didn't report back at nights? Ik the shorter aits don't
Bro I am at reception right now at Fort Jackson (yes you can keep your phone in reception). I ship to BCT tomorrow and graduate September 10th. I ship to Fort Huachuca September 14th and you make it seem like a good time!!
I start AIT November 22 and am wondering if I’d have to have another girl accompany me to gym because of the battle buddy system or if I can go by myself. Don’t want to lose years of gains... Would I be allowed to order a barbell for AIT?

Not sure if I should go to active or reserve, I'm set for active in my contract but I was kind of pushed by family to go reserve. Not sure if I want to do that though or take that risk. What do you say
I'm shipping out this coming june (delayed entry) as a 35f, I'll be going to ft. huachucha. Did they let you have a POV when you hit gold phase? I'm thinking when I hit gold I'll have my folks drive my truck from NC with a few things (laptop, clothes, ect) grab dinner on a Saturday, then catch a flight back. Sound feasible?
Hey man I’m planning on going for 11x at benning. What should my two mile run time be on my shipout date. I am around 16 mins. I heard 13 but idk if that’s going to happen by the end of the year
Thank dude. So much help. I heard we get the new acft. I weigh around 130 and 22 yrs old. I can climb a rope however high and do 30 pull-ups. But worried about the weight portion. Any advice for my quads?
I had a 90 on the practice and a 95 on the actual ASVAB, so I'm probably a bit too intelligent for the Army, considering both its leadership and joes are composed primarily of morons. You'll be fine; the Army requires zero intelligence or critical thought, only compliance.
D Co. 554 Ft. Leonard Wood this past year. Cell phones only on weekends. No civis allowed uniforms at all times. No off base passes. Honestly would have rather been in basic the whole time. Only benefit to AIT was the defac food was better and had ice cream😂
Blueberryking I’ve been wanting to ask someone if everyone there during basic was a stud already or was there some people struggling I can do a lot of stuff but I don’t wanna mess up
@@YJP23 dude your gonna have everyone jacked football player dudes to fat nerds who can’t do a push up. Basic training is designed to get you into physical shape
AIT in Fort Knox, 1982. Cell phones and lap tops didn't exist. Simple enough! LOL!

What platoon were u? The platoons we have rn is the direwolves, red hounds , bull dogs and ghost hounds
Once you are allowed to go off post in civvies do you still have to have a battle buddy with you everywhere you go?
Jacob S Roberts yes you do, unfortunately
Could you lift weights? How are the gyms? Also if you go reserve, do you go home for good after AIT or is there something else?
Currently in bravo big dawgs... who was your favorite drill I’m curious LOL

Night Lovell I say do what YOU want to do. Not what anyone else wants you to do
What do you mean by “take that risk?” Why wouldn’t you go reserve?
What if you have waves and you need to take your brushes and Durags
Facts
I'm on the bus headed to Huachuca rn. My DS, who is a 35F, said that we should expect to get messed up when we get off. Is that true?
Ethan Farley not in my experience tbh
That's a relief. Even though it varies. Another question: Is room assignment alphabetical?
Going to Fort Huachuca and I live in Phoenix now

Samuel Johnson no you cannot have a POV in AIT
@@PWill Thanks, I had heard some conflicting information on that front 👍
Samuel Johnson when you are in green phase you are allowed to rent a car for the weekend, but it is an extreme hassle and not worth it lol
@@PWill Sounds like I better get used to walking😂
Samuel Johnson they have shuttle services and of course Uber!
Is there a gym where I can workout while on personal time?
Something about you makes me laugh every time.
Juan Hidalgo is that good or bad 😂
P Will good man, you seem to always have a good sense of humor and naturally being a funny guy.
Really? I don’t see anything funny. Are you a female? Cuz that explains it.
Ethan Clarke never really asked for your opinion
@@HJuan94JR no cuz if you're not a female, "Something about you makes me laugh every time" sounds gay dude :P It sounds like you're flirting there lol

anyone know How long is 13F now for AIT? 9 or 10 weeks? Do they let you use laptop and phone? Any free wifi?/....
Can you smoke a vape in black phase??
Are you stationed in Europe? I heard the sirens in the background, just wondering.
Amelie I was for in Poland last year for 9 months!
I'm from flagstaff AZ, and going to fort huachuca for ait. Is there any phase I'll be able to visit there?
no, not unless you are given a chance for leave which is basically Christmas.
Leaving for basic in a week and then off to Arizona!!!
Aaron Coley awesome man! Stay motivated!!
Boy im finna have to be there 23 weeks 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Charlie Co is better than Bravo Co, change my mind
Do you think a 48afqt score on the practice asvab is good? Going to meps tomorrow.

Were there a lot of nut checking and nurpling? 🤔😄
If your a 35m or 35p you can have civies and such
I’m gonna stay at Fort Benning for AIT. Anyone leaving on the third? I’ve been watching all your videos to prepare, I’m nervous.
Lemon Pledge you’ll be fine man, just stay motivated and get in as best shape you can!!
