Oh hooray so happy to see your video! And also now I feel that someone else in the world understands the difficulty of xtremephilately of the mosques in Istanbul. Thank goodness for the rooftop cafés - what a fantastic sunset! I took my husband to one too trying to find a good angle of the Blue Mosque - we were unsuccessful but fell in love with the views and food and just the rooftop cafes in general there! I also am so interested in your tip about that stamp shop by Galata tower, if we ever go back that's where I will go! Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Ps I think anyone who completes a marathon and receives a medal "won"! Congratulations on your achievement there, too. Pps sorry my postcard had lost two stamps! I never knew that. Aww.. Oh well!
@@StampCatStamps Thank you so much, Lisa! You videos gave me a lot of tips, actually I used them as a guide for our trip in Instanbul🤣 We only had a short time there, I think we need to go back. For the stamps on the postcard, I only realised that the two stamps were missing when I re-watched your video.
I love it when my favorite philatelic RUclipsrs go traveling! I think your #Xtremephilately is outstanding, and it is amazing how this aspect of the hobby makes us explore and learn more about a place than if we didn't bring a few stamps along the way. What's funny is that I recently went traveling with stamps and experienced many of the same questions and issues as you...Wrong church, impossible angle, or just trying to figure out the postage rate and if my stamps will work. I needed a 'Seven Hills' cafe on my trip, what a find!! It looked like you had a fantastic time in Turkey. Thanks for sharing, Richard, and congrats to both of you on the marathon. Oh and your animations and video editing is on point 👏😊
Hi Richard, lovely to see yet another video from your hand. You always are producing interesting videos which are stamp related. On one thing I have to disagree with you. You told in your video you were far from winning the marathon. In my view, all contestants running a marathon are a winner, despite ranking in the race.
Hi Richard! It is very nice to see a video from you! You were so lucky to be able to travel to Turkey. It must be a magical country. I enjoyed your xtremephilately! It is clearly not always so easy, but when you find the view of the stamp like you did from the rooftop restaurant, it must be a wonderful feeling! You did it very well. The postal museum also looked amazing. Congratulations with running the marathon and for getting the medal for running it!!! In my books anyone who are able to and runs a marathon is a winner! Thanks again for an enjoyable video, well structured and produced, as always. 🙂
Another great video! What A great coincIdence on Saturday i bought a used stock book that had a few hundred Turkish stamps in it. I found them too interesting to throw away. your video makes them more interesting. I now have material for pages on inflation, as opposed to Hyperinflation. Toughras The Sultans personal mark that appeared on early Turkish stamps, and some more, interesting overprints to show on my overprint display.
