Slammin Vinyl, United Dance, Inovation, Best of British. You name it. I loved to rave their!! What an amazing place to go to and glad I'm got to be a part of raving history.
I used to travel up from hastings for freedom , watching this just brings back amazing memories I had which I’d never forget. Walking up there stairs 😊
Ha! I was a regular there. Brilliant nights - great (if sometimes suspect) crowd, fabulous banging sounds and sound system. E's galore. Oh such heady days.
Wow - I spent 5 years as one of the resident DJ's at Freedom - remember that main stage well. Have a picture of me standing on that stage just a few feet away in my office.
Fond, hazy, shady memories.
Bagleys was brilliant !
went Bagleys warehouse a few times in late 99 early 2000s very atmospheric and energetic place. shame its now gone, RIP Bagleys.. good times, remember the potnoodle van anyone?
Every month, we were there, from late 94 through to early '01. Oakenfold, Alexander McQueen, the Sneaker Pimps, Apollo 440 and so many more: MTV filmed us, the Japanese, the Germans - fantastic memories.
Never forget MAW + jazzy Jeff and the BBE all stars …. One of the greatest clubbing nights of my life.
Sadly all the best UK clubs have gone....just like the music :-(
The bit were they think the stage is the dj booth, it depended on what night you went to. The dj booth was usually up in the air and the stage was just were the mc was. The doors to the left of it led downstairs to an area with the toilets and the main entrance (although the area of entry used to change depending on what club night you went to). I went there for various nights Double dipped, Slammin vinyl, Desire 2000AD, Freedom, Exposure...all playing different styles of dance music. Great club
I still can't believe they knocked down the Hacienda in Manchester then rebuilt it into flats The Madchester music scene was a big part of musical history now gone forever! Just wished It could have been saved!
Wow. Freedom, Ariel. Christ on a bike what days
I was there off my box and dressed to impress
spent more time than at school! I was working there 2005-2008
lol i used to dance on that stage, why did they shut it down;(,one of the best club nights about back in the day,i was actully picked there to podium dance;)x
Memories sweet memories....bit hazy though :)
Travelled up many times from Portsmouth to party there, was a good club, many good nights off my tits lol
Mudd club days were fucking wicked .... respect
Raving not clubbing 😆
it was a great i was there
At 2.08 I think the DJ would have been on the main platform, that's if you were in what was refered to as arena 1
ps - I wonder if the floor still bounced when theres no one in there.
