And the more he likes the level the higher the rating, so you could have a really good level, but if he doesn't like it, or the content in it, he'll either give you a star rate, or not rate it at all. Now he probably only saw 2 seconds of the level then featured it. But after twitter showed him that it had anime characters he bumped it down to only a star rate. And people gave the creator so much hate. A LOT of people in the Geometry Dash community are antis and a bunch of hypocrites, and you've probably guessed it, a good portion of those people are furries. Nobody is the GD community is brave enough to stand out against these anits in fear of not getting rates by the creator of the game. I'm begging you can you please give the gd community a reality check. If you need any screenshot or videos then let me know.
@@f145hr3831jr @f145hr3831jr as a GD player you'd be shocked at how unbelievably stupid people can be. I've seen drama over things like being able to do a fraction of a level in a slightly easier way than the intended route, hell I've actually seen someone post a minor's inappropriate pictures because they were mad at that person and then laugh about them wanting to off themselves. Thankfully that person got banned from twitter and hasn't been seen in the community since. I've seen people start drama over a level's decoration style before. People are THAT petty. I think some of it could be a lot of the community being underage too though.
I swear 90% of the people who complain and whine that everything is pedo are just bored and don't actually give a crap. They just want to cause trouble for their own amusement. Because if they actually cared, they would know what is and isn't pedo.
8:54 I've literally never understood how a person with < 100 viewers over several years would think that they can give advice on "how to grow your channel"
Reminding a streamer to take care of themselves during an especially long stream is just normal, it's not even just limited to VTuber viewers. Hell, I'm pretty sure I've seen people remind, for example, Vinny to get rest when he clearly needs it or at least ask if he's getting tired if he sounds like it.
And you know what, as much as some people find it annoying if they see vtubers or anyone get reminded in the end the vtuber or person who notices will ultimately thank them for reminding them. Its a basic gesture of “hey you should eat/take care of yourself” i get caught up in my games or projects sometimes and i need a reminder sometimes (I can’t get them cause i live alone)
I think it's a little parasocial, but it's also natural. Most fans want to know that their Oshi or whoever is feeling good. If their content creator is upset, or tired, or stressed, it comes across and takes a lot of the fun out.
Agreed but we still should do something about a society that punishes people for speaking truth. We shouldn't just applaud them as they sink in the ocean.
I like what Cosmo said on that thread: "It's okay to not be involved in everything. We're entertainers by choice, we have chosen to entertain people with our time. Getting involved in drama and politics does not entertain our viewers who have chosen to share their time with us instead of wasting it on that stuff." Good words, strong anti-clout sentiment. For journalists like Rev it's fine, it's their thing. Whether it's the VTuber's platform or not is irrelevant, your role is your role. Changing roles to cater to a smaller, louder group is the whole basis of "Get Woke Go Broke". All it does is generate resentment and alienation, and it's especially hypocritical when the same vtuber whines about being so busy all the time. What did that one girl say a couple of months ago? "You'd not be so busy if you'd quit being a Vtweeter all day long."
I’m going to be honest, seeing Rev with wings and having an angry face was so adorable, I love it. Didn’t know you have that because I’m new to your channel 😆
He does make a cute vtuber. It's okay to like things without it being sexual. Twitter freaks don't understand friendship and they're mentally ill, so they always associate it with sex. You can be attracted and it not be wanting him, just liking what is presented. I really like his character design, the too big glasses are my favorite thing. The red eyes and little fangs are so cool. The hair is really cute too
I used to see Kyho as more of the Drama Alert of the Vtuber world, and FalseEyeD as more professional. Nowadays I just regard them both as Drama Alert.
There is a living example, Takane Lui, she tried for several years to get into Hololive. There is a very strict casting and if the company does not see you as a person who can entertain people and sing and dance, then they will 100% refuse you.
Fuwawa and Mococo are also examples of how it takes a lot to get hired into an agency. They talked about how they applied multiple times and even did so separately for some of them before they made it in. I think they even said they applied as both JP and EN VTubers.
8:46 SMALL NOTE HERE: Some people might have tons of experience working in the industry and simply don't focus on their own channel as much. Paddy Galloway for example, works with the biggest creators there are. Sure they have a decent following but that's not the case for everyone.
Every pedo that gets baited into watching loli vtubers (aside from that this is not a thing) would be one less pedo spending time with actual kids. No anti ever had made a good argument why "pedo baiting" (again, this is not a thing) is a bad thing.
Agreed I bring this up countless time I do not like loli That said I 100% prefer people getting of too drawings then real children especially when the people who call someone a pdfile over a drawing 9/10 times ether has defender actual grooming or defended cuties I'm a parent and I hate nothing more then People taking advantage of children Especially currently while not openly stating it allot of people want to normalize the real thing
A lot of people have this idea that depictions of something "normalize" it even though it's obvious that isn't the case. Loli has precedent going back a few decades and people are still hostile to pedophilia. It's pretty much a rehash of violence in video games back in the 2000's or Satanism during the 80's.
The thing is, anime has no crossover with irl. It doesn't even look human! It's like people saying Marge Simpson is hot. She is a cartoon character, she has a massive overbite! :D As someone who really likes 2D and 3D art, I like it because it is artificial. It is its own thing. IRL looks way different. And most nerds are antisocial, and turn to anime to avoid dealing with people. And then the bullies came online and recommenced to bullying. :D If people want to protect minors, regulating social media is the way. That's how predators and groomers find their prey. I don't know what the answer is, probably just better education. But this has always been a problem, and it still is. Watching Anime ain't the problem. Even Loli anime. Engaging in pedophilia or grooming is the problem. It's that simple. When you are trying to get with an underaged minor irl, in an inappropriate way, that is the problem. But that also goes into the anonymity of the internet, and things like doxxing and catfishing. We gotta figure this shit out. The government sure can't.
I swear I’m liking Khyo more and more, especially after he pissed off Ducky, Marina, RedClaw, and many more. Calling out bad behavior, yes even in the form of drama, should be encouraged.
@@Jonathanloh1992 I generally just avoided him since I thought watching 1 drama covering VTuber was enough, but after I found out about his spats with those 3 and more he really is starting to seem based.
He used to be tabloid-tier (passed off 4chan nonsense about Ayame being racist towards Koreans as "news") but he has since shaped up and I consider somewhat on par with FalseEyeD, tho that guy apparently has done some shxt too. Honestly it's been tickling my sides how NijiFans accuse Khyo of being a biased dramatuber when he has said more misinfo about Hololive... And HoloFans didn't say shxt. But sure, HoloFans are more toxic. /s We gloat more, yeah, but it's more like "oof look at that shxt, we're doing so well compared to them" kind of gloat. And frankly, could you blame us? NijiFans were so full of it too when Luxiem debuted.
People need to learn that parasocial relationships aren’t real. You can acknowledge that you have one but don’t think you actually know them. It’s becoming more and more of an issue with online creators, not just VTubers
commentary/news vtubers being a good thing for the community is not universal. in real life, especially in America, news outlets lie and misrepresent points, often not doing proper research, for clicks and views. The same thing is true for news vtubers like Khyo, who did the exact same thing for situations involving vshoujo (Nux situation and the Ant vtuber with Froot situation). they CAN be good, but arent always good
I panicked when a friend of mine sent me the screenshot that you covered my tweet. Because some people told me its a absolutely common take. MOOOOOOOM I MADE IT TO REVS CHANNEL!!!!
Reminders to take care of one's self are just common sense. Fans hate it when a streamer they like breaks down and has to take extended breaks. One less hour on each of a few streams is better than one month or longer without any streams.
Personally, I think the posting about being rejected by a agency is not a bad thing, it just matters about the tone of it. Examples Bad: On this agency rejected me, it doesn’t matter, they’re filled with talentless hacks anyway. Good: I got rejected by the agency I applied for, but it’s okay, there’s always a next time, whoever got the slot deserves all the praise for the job they got.
Agree mostly. It's a job interview, and you shouldn't say anything to the public about not getting a job. Remember that vtuber agencies keep things tight lipped until they debut. If you apply and get rejected, then say something, now the whole world knows they are looking. That's publicity they probably didn't want. They want the people who are naturally looking, not the bandwagoneers.
I would actually state that getting rejected is a matter of improvement. Can't tell you how many corpo vtubers in later gens were rejected several times but that gave them a lot of time to really improve themselves in order for them to sell themselves as a much better candidate.
the difference is with Alice Cooper, and Marilyn Manson too is they weren't financially destroyed despite even the media campaigning against them. If that doesn't say theres something else behind this cancelling stuff I dunno what will.
I sort of hate the irl stuff on vtubers, If I wanted to see a real face I'd be watching something like Markiplier so the simpbucks stuff is well off in my book.
Define cancelled. Cancelled as in having the people we need to gatekeep upset at you? Or cancelled as in actually losing audience? Because they're not the same.
Or worse especially as a corporate vtuber straight up fired because a bunch of terminally online users call your job over an opinion on the internet While not a vtuber the latter actually happened to me and as a result I was homeless for 3 months
@@Unapologeticweeb Yes, the same crowd that'll chant "there's no such thing as cancel culture!" will often try to get you fired if you ridicule them online. They couldn't do that to me, as I'm a shareholder, but they've certainly tried over the years.
The fact that I've been watching you for about a year... I'd say. And I have never known that your model has wings was kinda mind blowing. Even funnier that you forgot about it too lol
12:50 I think they're talking about fans of male vtubers, not male fans of vtubers. And it might jet be that they see it in the male vtuber space more often.
Indies who don't make it into agencies and then dedicate themselves to shitting on agency vtubers are hilarious because its always the most unlikable nobodies whos entire personality could be replaced by one of those toys where you pull the lever and it belts out an animal noise.
Vtubers who attack loli and other spicy elements from Japanase culture, are and always will out themselves as trend-chasing tourists . EN vtubing scene has a tourism problem.
Well I'm not sure if this is a hot take at all but I do wonder if there are some vtubers that have parasocial interactions with their audience that goes both ways? For example with Rushia (not saying she ain't doing it for the money cause more than likely that is the case) may appeal to the the whole GFE but I wonder if to some extent she may feel kind of the same way towards her viewers and actually gets a bit jealous if they watch other streamers. Again not a hot take but just more of a hypothesis (then again i could just be over thinking things).
That's the thing that annoys me about the parasocial discussion online, it's always framed in a one-way direction and entirely framed from the perspective of the streamer/RUclipsr.
I think the other side of parasocialism is when content creators need approval from their fans for their own sake. And it is basically universal. Every type of entertainer is basically parasocial in that they want to be accepted and approved of. That's why most will react badly if they are criticized, because their self-esteem comes from their bubble. And why they are obsessed over social media and their numbers, because it shows how people like them. I don't think they would single out a particular fan, but I know content creators are parasocial with their fans. When they start complaining about their real life or talking about how they are stressed or feeling bad, they are using their audience for therapy.
Getting canceled by haters is practically a badge of honor. Also those demented vtubers lumping straight guys with pdf is of very poor taste that it's unbelievable.
This is more or less why I stick to only corporate VTubers, because there's actual managers breathing down the necks of VTubers to make sure they don't say or do anything stupid (though things still slip by). The only non-corporate VTubers I watch are Rev and Depressed Nousagi because of the professionalism.
In response to the hot take at 19:42 : If I personally were to make a VTuber model, I would want to make a character that has traits similar to that of Toriel from Undertale. I'm not much into Undertale anymore, nor am I even into DeltaRune. But I LOVE Toriel! Why? Well, she's sweet, protective of her children, and such a wonderful mother! Just, a motherly figure all around! I would probably give the VTuber model her outfit + glasses, along with horns and ears to match! The rest would consist of human features, probably brown hair and blue eyes! I'd wanna be a mother figure in the VTuber community! ^^ But that's simply just an idea on my end, I don't have the financial/technical things to make that happen.
Its important to note with the vtuber agency auditioners getting rejected, some of the most successful Hololive girls have stories of getting rejected multiple times. Fuwamoco as a most recent one was apparently rejected a dozen times before they got accepted. Bijou as well IIRC, but less rejections for her. I've heard it enough from Hololive girls in clips that im actually fairly sure the rejection is actually part of the audition process. Seeing vtweeters get so mad in socials about being rejected *once* and then seeing stories about multiple rejections before acceptance just leads me to think they use rejections just to see if the applicant is just applying to apply or because they genuinely want to be a part of the company.
An occasional lore-related stream would be nice. Or just lore-code their talk. Calli used to describe her teaching job as "training little grim reapers".
Best take is "V in vtuber stands for virtual ", iv seen a few vtuber twitters just no actually use of the model but instead they are using other Assets for "Advertisement " . I think nowadays with how popular Vtubing , sometimes people just bandwagon regardless of liking anime or wanting to make a character of their but just doing it cause its popular . There's more detail of course but u get the idea , decent takes on this vid with some copoium ones as usual but that's twitter . Oh wait i mean "X"
I understand being *disappointed* at a agency rejection, same as anyone else who gets disappointed at a turned down job opportunity, but it's not ideal to go about insulting those agencies or the process as a whole as if that's going to somehow reverse the decision (when in actuality its just going to dig your hole deeper).
The whole reminders to take care of yourself thing is kind of cringe in the way vtubers do it but honestly it's pretty normally. Like half the streamers I watch on twitch have a drink water reminder thing. Especially for communities that are prone to addictions like MMOs and ARPGs
I will say, as a nonTuber of any variety, there is one piece of advice I will give, that no one will disagree with. Focus on your content, not the numbers. I've told that to a VTuber friend ages ago. Dunno if he ever took it though, since I stopped watching after he did it on the next stream. Oh yeah. **DEFINITELY DON'T** do that shit while you are live.
Kind of the point of Vtubing originally was that it allowed you to be whatever you wanted. Then it sort of devolved into a way for people who didn't want to show themselves or were self conscious about their appearance to be able to make online content with something other than a disembodied voice. Now I think vtubing has kind of just become a trend but in a good way. It's just something to have fun with that is open to everyone. Even if some of the more extremist communities don't want that to be the case since vtubers became their form of escapism. I think most new vtubers don't even try to hide their IRL appearance anymore like in the past I think the vast majority of people just get into for fun now and then if it gets big that's just a plus. The grifters at least to me seem to be in the minority at this point.
4:20 I think that the drama with Kyoh stems from him previously using 4chan posts and using them as sources and framing it as if it was legitimate, but because of how 4chan works whatever gets posted there should always ALWAYS be taken with a huuuuuge grain of salt. Kyoh did realize this mistake and corrected his own behaviour, so that drama ended in good terms and both parties already reconciled in private Edit: that or the self described journalist is something new that recently popped up
This is also why if I get into content creation, I'm not gonna show my face or speak on anything regarding social matters and politics, because nowadays some people only seem to watch content based on the creators appearance, age, stances on certain topics, or beliefs. People who post things like their appearance or their personal beliefs likely have people following them just because they look cute or they won't say anything "insane", and not for what they actually bring to the table in terms of content, regardless of whether it's well made or mediocre.
It's the same growth steps as being a RUclipsr or streamer you just have the virtual aspect to go with which makes the whole scene/community a different beast
side note, but I've heard several times about the toggles, so I'm trying to incorporate them as I learn to stream, entertain and vtube. Because I use the free stuff, the toggles are basically just expressions, but it's a great way to stand out in a crowded field.
On the "go to sleep" and "go eat something" front, you see it all the time in MMOs. I see it in all of the ones I play for any period of time. "Hydration check", "posture check", and so on are common things that pop up in general chat, because we know how we are. Hell, WoW has a loading screen that reminds us to go outside on occasion.
It's completely fine to start out using free programs, you don't have to go into debt to debute. Heck I'm teaching myself Live2D because I don't have the funds to commission anyone.
I did a 24 hour stream when I was younger...never...again. I felt terrible afterwards and towards the end it was just freaking silence from me being so exhausted.
Not Oshis exactly, but I did use to follow Minty and Marina before seeing them in one of your videos. I kinda had concerns on a third one but was relieved to see that was not the case.
Imagine not getting hired after a normal job interview and going to social media to bitch about it. There's very obvious reasons why these people can't get a job, virtual ones or otherwise.
The people who say "they don't enjoy VTuber drama" tend to be the ones the most involved in it or create it. Many hypocrites in all communities exist, it's just fun to point out the ones who are. Great work once again. ^_^
Number one of face reveals. Never FUCKING do it. People have a set image of what you look like based on your voice and maybe your VTuber model. And when that image is destroyed, there's people that will generally be upset about it. Like me, if Rev did a face reveal. Glasses waifu supremacy remains true on this channel Rev. The people may want it, but I will never encourage it. Glasses waifu supremacy 4 life
4:04 - For a minute, I thought those wings were always there and not just simply toggled off. I've done things like miss things right in front of my face so I thought this was another of those cases until Rev turned the wings off again. 12:44 - Also, being a cisgendered man isn't a bad thing. Can we stop acting like it is? Accusing any man of the p-word is a serious claim and can ruin his life. Let's not target groups of people like they're normalizing something when they aren't. Unless you can prove it without making yourself look worse, just stop. 13:06 - What's wrong with telling someone to take care of themselves? I try to encourage streamers to put their health above streaming whenever necessary. It doesn't matter how often I watch their streams or how badly I wait for them to release new content. The well-being of the content creator is more important to me. The content can always wait. 17:24 - Don't tell people they should delete themselves. That's disgusting and never okay. 18:12 - Correct. Content creators make the content they want to and they don't have to do anything for you. I also agree that gratitude is important, but again, it is still their decision what they decide to create. While it creates a good community to give back in some way if certain goals are achieved, it is ultimately up to the individual if they set those goals to begin with. 21:46 - Most people should avoid Twitter discourse. I'm not going to tell you what to do with your life, but I don't think arguing with people on the internet is a good use of your time. You're not going to be any happier just because you won an argument. And, if someone tries to argue with you on Twitter, that says more about them than you. Have fun and live your best life. On the other hand, I know some people love arguing and it's not my place to say you don't, but there's a big difference between a respectful debate and two or more people at each other's throats for petty reasons. 21:53 - I'm a bit too real, but every now and then, I have to take a break from reality or I go mental. So, I've developed an appreciation for escapism. I mean, I write fiction.
A good Vtuber model doesn't always get you a good start either. I can think of Nier Akhunova. Super nice and cute vtuber model, definitely on the higher end of quality. But they could barely gain more than 15-20 views per stream despite consistently streaming. Cute voice, really charming, but it didn't work. I see now that she has stopped streaming, even deleted her channel and twitter. I am not 100% sure, but I think she's restarting and now go under the name Tai Koyuki.
I kind of disagree with Rev about not having to pay someone to be told that sex sells. The past decade has shown that people have forgotten about this lost knowledge. Can look at RUclips's policy changes as evidence. Yeah its applied arbitrarily, but it seems like they would rather throw that potential money away by preventing others from cashing in on it. The money they get from their corporate overlords better offset these losses.
One of the biggest problems with them covering it up as much as possible means they understand that they are not good people, and that there will be backlash if people found out. So these people are not misguided with their personalities, they KNOW they are human pieces of shit, they just don't want anyone to see... IDK if that is better or worse than not knowing they suck
Yes, Vtubers aren't obligated to you just cuz you support them, HOWEVER, you are also not obligated to support them and can stop supporting or criticize them for whatever reasons you want. If they want your support, they might have to give in to your "demands." Take Rushia. Many of her simps don't like her playing (or"flirting" in their eyes) with other men, and while she's not obligated to give in this "demand," she tries to do so anyways cuz she wants their support and simp money. In fact, most Vtubers and idols (both men and women but mostly women) try not to publicly get involved with the opposite sex for this reason. They're not obligated to do so but if they want that simp money, they'll do it.
Honestly why I support the vtuber I do and only "fangirl" at the agency vtubers. I wont get the agency money, but I'll support the vtuber I admire for what they do.

Just read the whole thing, dam that's crazy.
How do fandoms of extremely simple, no-frills skill-based games become such cesspools of idiocy?

100% of the time it's actual pedos trying to distract people from themselves.
It's the 10% like EDP you have to worry about as they are legitimately trying to water down the term
8:54 I've literally never understood how a person with < 100 viewers over several years would think that they can give advice on "how to grow your channel"
Ego. Ego. Dellusion
You're too based for those haters
Also getting canceled by said haters is a badge of honnor
Agreed but we still should do something about a society that punishes people for speaking truth. We shouldn't just applaud them as they sink in the ocean.

I'm very based. I don't let people talk shit about me and get away with it unscathed.
Getting blocked by them is also seen as a 1-UP, too.
I like what Cosmo said on that thread:
"It's okay to not be involved in everything. We're entertainers by choice, we have chosen to entertain people with our time. Getting involved in drama and politics does not entertain our viewers who have chosen to share their time with us instead of wasting it on that stuff."
Good words, strong anti-clout sentiment.
Getting cancelled is nothing nowadays

He does make a cute vtuber. It's okay to like things without it being sexual. Twitter freaks don't understand friendship and they're mentally ill, so they always associate it with sex. You can be attracted and it not be wanting him, just liking what is presented. I really like his character design, the too big glasses are my favorite thing. The red eyes and little fangs are so cool. The hair is really cute too
Getting cancelled in 2023 is honestly a badge of honor that should be worn proudly.

Granted Hololive probably has a much higher standard than most agencies
I guarantee none of these unhinged Twitter freaks will get into any of the reputable agencies
There is also Nene before her with her 5 tries.
Then you have Kobo the ear bleeder, so as an addendum you only need at least one of those things starting out as she can entertain people
Fuwawa and Mococo are also examples of how it takes a lot to get hired into an agency. They talked about how they applied multiple times and even did so separately for some of them before they made it in. I think they even said they applied as both JP and EN VTubers.
8:46 SMALL NOTE HERE:
Some people might have tons of experience working in the industry and simply don't focus on their own channel as much.
Holy, thats some 5head shit. U rite
Agreed I bring this up countless time I do not like loli
That said I 100% prefer people getting of too drawings then real children
especially when the people who call someone a pdfile over a drawing 9/10 times ether has defender actual grooming or defended cuties
I'm a parent and I hate nothing more then People taking advantage of children
Especially currently while not openly stating it allot of people want to normalize the real thing
A lot of people have this idea that depictions of something "normalize" it even though it's obvious that isn't the case. Loli has precedent going back a few decades and people are still hostile to pedophilia. It's pretty much a rehash of violence in video games back in the 2000's or Satanism during the 80's.
@@Unapologeticweeb 100% yeah. The people calling lolicon cp are definitely normalizing CSEM and it angers and scares me.
The thing is, anime has no crossover with irl. It doesn't even look human! It's like people saying Marge Simpson is hot. She is a cartoon character, she has a massive overbite! :D
As someone who really likes 2D and 3D art, I like it because it is artificial. It is its own thing. IRL looks way different. And most nerds are antisocial, and turn to anime to avoid dealing with people. And then the bullies came online and recommenced to bullying. :D
If people want to protect minors, regulating social media is the way.
17:10 Calling lolitubers pdfiles while having a loli profile pic is rather...ironic
I swear I’m liking Khyo more and more, especially after he pissed off Ducky, Marina, RedClaw, and many more. Calling out bad behavior, yes even in the form of drama, should be encouraged.

At khyo would never have a stupid take like “VTubers only post irl pics for likes and engagement” 🤦♂️
People need to learn that parasocial relationships aren’t real. You can acknowledge that you have one but don’t think you actually know them. It’s becoming more and more of an issue with online creators, not just VTubers
Rev: I have vampire wings. Me: YOU DO?!?
commentary/news vtubers being a good thing for the community is not universal. in real life, especially in America, news outlets lie and misrepresent points, often not doing proper research, for clicks and views.
Examples
Bad: On this agency rejected me, it doesn’t matter, they’re filled with talentless hacks anyway.
Good: I got rejected by the agency I applied for, but it’s okay, there’s always a next time, whoever got the slot deserves all the praise for the job they got.
It does matter because if they see it they reject and any company after
I'd still rather keep quiet about it
Ya thats better but still sounds like cope. If I was hiring and I saw my potential hire said that. That shows me they lack drive
It absolutely takes balls to speak up while knowing the consequences within this current society. I commend you 👍
Alice Cooper has been canceled plenty of times, and the general public still loves him.
the difference is with Alice Cooper, and Marilyn Manson too is they weren't financially destroyed despite even the media campaigning against them. If that doesn't say theres something else behind this cancelling stuff I dunno what will.

Define cancelled.
Cancelled as in having the people we need to gatekeep upset at you? Or cancelled as in actually losing audience? Because they're not the same.
Or worse especially as a corporate vtuber straight
up fired because a bunch of terminally online users call your job over an opinion on the internet

12:45 that tweet is such low hanging fruit, no right mind would even consider challenging this because it debunks itself.
Rev's model at the end though made me chuckle.
Final frame looks drunk lol
@brentwaller37 hmm you do make an excellent point I haven't even considered that.
Everytime I watch a Rev video I'm reminded why I left twitter and I am at peace with it 😂
14:58 I think that’s terrible, I could never in a million years start asking people online for money, I’d rather starve.
Honestly, rev angry face is amazing.
Vtubers need to roleplay their characters harder...!
Very tired of just "RUclipsrs with avatars".
If you are going to make a character, play the character.
An occasional lore-related stream would be nice. Or just lore-code their talk. Calli used to describe her teaching job as "training little grim reapers".
By now you're immune to being "cancelled" after countless failed attempts from the usual antis
I understand being *disappointed* at a agency rejection, same as anyone else who gets disappointed at a turned down job opportunity, but it's not ideal to go about insulting those agencies or the process as a whole as if that's going to somehow reverse the decision (when in actuality its just going to dig your hole deeper).
even "normal" jobs can cause someone to forget to take care of themselves.
The whole reminders to take care of yourself thing is kind of cringe in the way vtubers do it but honestly it's pretty normally. Like half the streamers I watch on twitch have a drink water reminder thing. Especially for communities that are prone to addictions like MMOs and ARPGs
Angry face was kind of cute, not gonna lie.
What did he do on the stream?
People should be indie vtubers before applying for a corporation.
nobody could switch between vtuber and real life like Kson....
I think most new vtubers don't even try to hide their IRL appearance anymore like in the past
I think the vast majority of people just get into for fun now and then if it gets big that's just a plus. The grifters at least to me seem to be in the minority at this point.
Why is Rev not over 1M subs yet?!
Khyo basically annihilated any interest I might ever have in his channel when he was the clickbaiting clout farmer. I'm never watching him again.
4:20 I think that the drama with Kyoh stems from him previously using 4chan posts and using them as sources and framing it as if it was legitimate, but because of how 4chan works whatever gets posted there should always ALWAYS be taken with a huuuuuge grain of salt. Kyoh did realize this mistake and corrected his own behaviour, so that drama ended in good terms and both parties already reconciled in private
Edit: that or the self described journalist is something new that recently popped up
I heard "journalistic ethics" and started laughing hysterically. That is like sayong "politicians honesty"
Lets be real if defending the difference between lolicons and pdf files hasnt got you canceled yet nothing will
This is also why if I get into content creation, I'm not gonna show my face or speak on anything regarding social matters and politics, because nowadays some people only seem to watch content based on the creators appearance, age, stances on certain topics, or beliefs.
REV HAD VAMPIRE WING?! EXCUSE ME?!
side note, but I've heard several times about the toggles, so I'm trying to incorporate them as I learn to stream, entertain and vtube. Because I use the free stuff, the toggles are basically just expressions, but it's a great way to stand out in a crowded field.

As far as the toggles go I don't have a second monitor so I would literally have to tab out of whatever I am doing in order to do the toggles XD
Rev is too popular to get cancelled, he would have to something seen as deplorable like having a debate/discussion with UndeadChronicXIV
I wouldn't mind you using the bat wings more often, I like them
Number one of face reveals.
Petition for Rev to rock his wings in videos👇
I kind of disagree with Rev about not having to pay someone to be told that sex sells.
The past decade has shown that people have forgotten about this lost knowledge. Can look at RUclips's policy changes as evidence. Yeah its applied arbitrarily, but it seems like they would rather throw that potential money away by preventing others from cashing in on it. The money they get from their corporate overlords better offset these losses.
oh cool, I'm on a rev video!

Waiting for the toggle for a bigger pair of giant glasses.
My take is "I miss flat snuffy"
One of the biggest problems with them covering it up as much as possible means they understand that they are not good people, and that there will be backlash if people found out.
So these people are not misguided with their personalities, they KNOW they are human pieces of shit, they just don't want anyone to see... IDK if that is better or worse than not knowing they suck
it makes it worse because they are also lieng hypocrits about it and pretend to be different isntead of actually changing it .
Yes, Vtubers aren't obligated to you just cuz you support them, HOWEVER, you are also not obligated to support them and can stop supporting or criticize them for whatever reasons you want. If they want your support, they might have to give in to your "demands."
Take Rushia.
