- There are a total of 15 different LM race cars in Gran Turismo 1. This refers to cars that already have a racing modification installed by default. In this video I am presenting you all of these cars. With one exception they are all available in two different colors and I am showing you all of those as well.

It can take quite a while to unlock all of the prize cars in both colors but I wanted to see them all and there was no video like this on RUclips before.
I used the songs from the respective car dealers as background music for each car, since they are all pretty awesome. The two manufacturers in GT1 that don't have an LM car are Chevrolet and Aston Martin, so I used their songs for the intro and outro.

I will also do a video in the future that shows the performance of the best LM cars on the track.

I remember playing this as a 7 year old - seeing these cars as mythical and unobtainable relics. But after hours of grinding i saved up for the Mitsubishi and remember feeling like a god while driving it. The definition of satisfaction.

same here, at the beginning of the game was already so proud to have made more than the 10.000cr we have at the beginning, so afterwards being able to afford those cars was like legendary. Now I replay GT1 with the emulator and it seems so easy lol.
I played without a memory card with my brother because we didn't even know what it was, we used to play all day to get the gto twin turbo, those [R] cars were like a final boss, you described it very well, it was something unique and unattainable " They had soul", it contrasts greatly with what today's games are where all the cars feel generic like a box with 4 wheels

MrAeroHD I think its pretty rubbish for the most part tbh. The Japanese version is a bit better but still pretty annoying. I just turn the music off most of the time.

Leon Pablo Arguably the best car in the game the gto LM edition perfect handling, can accelerate like a beast and I believe its the only car that can shift into 7th gear without shorting out
Castrol Supra GT and Viper GTS-R also had 7 gears. But the GTO LM was probably my favourite and the first special model I bought when i got the 500.000 credits. It felt amazing when I first drove it, so many great memories and nostalgia from that game!

The red NSX-R became my instant favorite race car as soon as I first saw it in that Special Stage R11 replay. I thought of it as absolutely impossible at first. But after buying the stock Viper and racing the entire Normal Car event, I was able to finally purchase it and win races on it.
This game led to me becoming a mechanic...
Which is sometimes a blessing & a curse.

Imagine if newer gt's looked back at some of the iconic cars from the 80's and 90's and added them in the new game. GT7 PLEASE deliver the ultimate gt experience again

amazing game, amazing soundtrack, spent hours upon hours staying up at night, doing endurance races! I developed a really passion for cars because of this game. they should remaster it!

I played original Japanese version and the music was different. Also Japanese version was harder. It was difficult to get gold license.
Good times! The FTO and GTO Lm Were great. The TVR Cerebra was nice too. The fastest Top speed I got in this was either the GTO 95, or the 98 Skyline. I was hooked.
Used Mitshubishi GTO TwinTurbo 95` 930hp and R33Skyline GTR 95` 937hp :) but i have Skyline GTR Vspec( i think its a 97` R33) has 941hp :D

@@mr-sam-jax dunno, the '95 GTO Twin Turbo could go into the 390+ km/h range and I think the R33 GT-R V-Spec could break the 400km/h mark but any of them needed some fine tuning to be able to do it.

GTO 95 is 423km/h
R33 GTR V-Spec is 414 km/h
R33 has the highest horse power but it has 5 gears and can't perform as much as GTO and SUPRA
but Remember R33 has the fastest 400m record and best acceleration in Gran Turismo 1

I’ve always loved the Supra and the Impreza the most. I remember the Impreza having such a weak top speed, though.
Until you adjusted the gearing then it was competitive in high speed events.

Ah, the NSX-R lm GT2 is always my favorite in GT1 since 5 years... Depending on the engine sound. Least my favorite number is 84 like it's on the NSX-R.
Like anyone who doesn't care about people's favorite numbers though.
14.4 - Mitsubishi FTO LM Edition and 8@ - Nissan S14 Silvia LM Edition, these 2 were probably my top 2 cars to drive, loved them and what about them in GT Sport along with some other old classic's from the past games in a special previous ''GT classic car league'' wouldn't that be brilliant. :)
Edit: wrote at the start of the video, I get why you did it that way (forgot the race reward version came in different colours).
If you were gonna mention where to get the cars, you should've included wether you can get them as rewards for beating a competition. Castrol Supra GT for example can be won in one of the endurance racing competitions.

The FTO was the best LM edition car.
That one and the GTO were two of my favourites too, the 4WD gave them great handling.
That's what I thought for a long time as well. But I can beat the FTO with the sheer cornering speed of the Cerbera LM Edition. It pulverized my previous lap record on High Speed Ring and Trial Mountain set by the FTO.
You can fit dirt tyres & thrash the crap out of any rally car on those special challenges.
Same with the GTO.
Oddly, in GT2, you could fit dirt tyres to a GT40 which was amusing
@@wolfgangvan-uber6515 Maxed Out GTO Twin Turbo beats any car by sheer speed. But GTO LM Edition gotta be the best car in the game. It have less HP than Twin Turbo, but it have much better handling.
My favorite was the Cerbera and the Viper. Awesome cars.

Yeah, or Chevrolet, I always wanted a LM Corvette in this game. Buying one and modifying it to the max gave you "only" about 480hp, I wanted a +600hp beast like the Castrol Supra GT or the Viper GTS-R.

@@VinJackson The 600+ beasts usually are 500+ lbs heavier than those you modify yourself. In the end the speed difference isn't more than 1-2 seconds worth between the two versions, depending on the car.

I really wish they kept these cars in the next few releases of the game. They would have been especially valuable to see in GT3 with the ps2 resolution, as well as just be nice additions for a game that could have used a few more cars

Nah bro the rx7 is the hardest to get. In fact I used the fto lm to try and get the rx7. I also used the gtsr viper and dodge concept but couldn’t get it for some reason. It’s just luck I guess.

Nope, that color scheme is fictional, which is why the Castrol Supra GT '96 lost all other color schemes in GT2, leaving only the white/green/red color.

X2011racer the red/blue Castrol scheme is still available for other cars in GT2, for example one of the racing modified RX-7 FC's

@@pr3ssstart That’s different from lm. Besides it’s faster on the straights not laps. Not to mention the handling was better on the fto. Personally I would go for the fto. Gt1 was more about handling than others like Gt2.
Tried so many times to get the yellow Concept Car. Always got the purple one!
Try watching the ending movie in the arcade mode, then going back to simulation mode to do the tournament. I think if you do that you are more likely to win the rare color. It's still not guaranteed though, so try it a couple of times if you can.

How did you manage to get 2nd color from cup winning reward cars? Is it all random?
NFS PA1NL3SS At first I almost always got the first color, so I searched for information online and I found a way to manipulate it. Go to the arcade mode rewards and watch the ending movie there (beat the arcade mode on normal to unlock it). Then go back to the simulation mode and play your tournament. Now you have a very high chance to win the second color.
Some people online say that this is not true but for me personally it definitely worked. It was still a little bit random but not very much. When I didn't watch the movie after starting the game I probably got the first color about 90% of the time. When I did watch the movie it was the same for the second color.

+Paragleiber You techinically don't even have to watch the ending movie entirely. Just activate it and then immediately exit. Still works just the same. Not sure, maybe just something with anything involving Arcade Mode does the trick. I have been doing an LP on this game and I had lost my last 12 parts due to hard drive failure.. I had done the arcade mode and then afterwards went back into simulation to do the Grand Valley 300KM.. and I had gotten the Castrol Supra in the Black w/ Red and Blue stripes, and I hadn't watched the credits as it was still the save file that was used for the original parts that had gotten lost.
Your method though probably increases the chances even more though.
From what I've read, the colors are determined by your game days. An odd number gives you one color, while an even number gives you the other. That's only for tourneys like "U.S. vs Japan" though, where you have two possible prizes.

GTO is the most fast in test course, but in the rest of corsetracks Dodge concept car LM is faster ever.
Another great car is Cerbera LM and FTO
1- Concept car LM (far away to the rest)
2- Cerbera LM
3- GTO (just cuz his huge power. That fix the low speed in corners)
4- FTO LM
The unreal relation between hp and weight makes the Concept car perfect.
With GTO I get better time laps vs Cerbera, but i don't like it at all. Cerbera requires more skill and its more fun to use.
Basically any 4WD or FF drivetrain car in this game is easy af to drive without losing control, and all FR or MR drivetrain car is more skill based and rewarding. I also didn't like the GTO LM that much but only because I had a '95 used model with all modifications and it was vastly superior.

In the Whole game the fastest car is supra rz 95 racing modification ,
but in this video that showing Lm cars , fastest one is castrol supra gt (Black one)

Yep. All race cars besides the Chaser have two options. If you watch the arcade mode ending movie before playing you are more likely to win the rare version but even without that you can win it sometimes.
I never knew in all these years these early gran turismo games had endurance races.
The first game only had about 3 of them, but they were great. The first time I played GT3 or maybe GT4 I was shocked about the fact that some of the endurance races literally took a whole day.

+Сергей «LSK» Лапицкий This is the US version. Also the HP value can be different at the dealer and in the garage. For example Castol Supra has 655 HP at the dealer but in your garage it will have 646. I don't know why.

@@r2regalia he is wrong, a second hand gto twin turbo is the best one. You can finish the entire game with it and the best of all is that you beat the game with that cheap car you bought to make a start and it ended up being a beast

Because Subaru didn't have an LM model I think, or maybe they couldn't get a license for it so they went with the Impreza WRX Rally version.
From what I heard, there were going to be off-road circuits in GT1, but it never came through.
Similar to what happened to Drag races in GT2.
