Just received my Kjv last night. Thank god it wasnt raining at that point as it was all day, because the usps left it and never rang my door bell. It is a beautiful looking bible and i already started to read its beautiful truth inside

Hello Joe I just bought this Bible
My mom got me one of these Study Bibles when I was a teenager, over 20 years ago (it may have been the First Edition actually). It was by far the nicest Bible I had ever seen back then and I read from it almost every day for 12 years or so. Despite being robust and well-built the Bible was falling apart and tattered by the time I had to replace it. Great, great Bible and a tremendous value. I can't say enough good things about it, but I'll let you all know you can't go wrong getting one of these for yourself or as a gift for a teenager or anybody really :)

These reviews are about the most in depth you can get. I like how even the simple features of the bible are covered - I thought they were going to be glossed over but if you are a beginner this video will see you right.
I have been reading this, my first study bible for many months - it is excellent. There aren’t many maps within the scriptures as illustrations nor any pictures so you just have to use your imagination. Of course the maps at the back are sufficiently good.
There are extras at the back which I looked at tonight - rather than moving into another one of my many bibles - I will probably spend a further month or two - once I’ve finished reading through to Revelation - within those references. The parables, the miracles and the fulfilled prophesies. Yes, this is a great bible, floppy, well made, no need to get a premium leather - this bonded leather is good enough for a study bible.

It’s a good Bible had one of these before….the only thing I don’t like is in Genesis 1:2 where the word spirit is small case letter that makes it like an angle or some such. It should be a capital Spirit meaning the Holy Spirit

They contain the exact same notes so it's just a matter of preference on black and white pages vs. full color pages at that point. Blessings.

Are the notes the same as the Nelson NKJV 2nd study Bible edition?
We're not really sure as we do not sell the NKJV and have never reviewed that bible. Thanks.

Since we haven't read every single word of commentary or checked every single bible reference in either KJV Bible, it is hard for us to say that one is better than the other. It is all a matter of opinion. Both the KJV Nelson Study Bible and KJV Holman Study Bibles are excellent. They both have some of the newest and more modern features and layouts of any KJV Study Bible.
If you are on a tighter budget, go with the Nelson or Scofield. If you have more to spend, consider the Holman as the Genuine Leather or Cowhide Leather editions are superb. Blessings.
Is it smyth sewn binding? Nothing was said about the quality of construction (i.e. paper or binding????)
Thanks for your question. The publisher does not list smyth sewn pages as a feature and it is hard to tell if this exists by looking at the physical bible itself. We believe that the quality of the Bonded Leather is fair, and indicative of it's relatively inexpensive price point (under $50).
These KJV Nelson Study Bibles certainly do not have the quality of our more premium leather bibles, such as our Lambskin Scofield Edition:

The word "Jehovah" appears in the King James Version 7 times.

But I'm in UK so postage is prohibitive.
I have a full size NJKV Study Bible which I ue at home and a smaller one for carrying.
If people had Study Bibles they would suddenly find it makes sense instead of seeming to be a boring incomprehensible book full of genealogies and old battles.
Is there glued binding good or should I go with a different Bible that is stitched
It's worth noting that even edge-lined bibles with perimeter stitching and smyth-sewn pages still include "glue" in some parts, especially where the spine of the book block is attached to the leather cover. With that said, sewn and edge-lined is definitely always going to be better for quality and longevity than a regular "paste-off" (glued) style binding that's found in the Nelson Study Bible Second Edition, but this is also reflected in it's lower price: www.thekjvstore.com/kjv-nelson-study-bible-second-edition/

Smyth-Sewn binding refers to the pages, more than the binding. It's not the same as an "Edge-Lined" Binding (think premium Edge-Lined Bibles published by The KJV Store). Per our original response, "smyth-sewn page bibles still include "glue" in some parts, and even more so in a Non-Edge-Lined binding such as these. We hope this makes more sense.

Is it better than the Ryrie study Bible ?
"Better" is a relative term which can't be quantified and will only be opinion based. Everyone's preference of commentary is different. We sell plenty of both and I'm sure have some customers who prefer the commentary of one over the other, but it's hard for us to say which is "better" as that's personal preference. Blessings.

We do not believe so.
Does this Bible have Hebrew & Greek concordance/dictionary?
The concordance is shown at the 24:00 minute mark of our video above. The Concordance says, "Over 200 of the heading words are followed by a discussion of one of the Greek or Hebrew words that the heading word translates. Sometimes the discussion covers a significant biblical phrase that features the word.
At the end of each verse extract is a Strong's number. This number corresponds to the original language word that lies behind the English heading word features in the verse. Strong's numbers for Greek words begin with a G. The numbers for Hebrew and Aramaic words begin with an H. If there is a dash instead of a number, then there is no word in the original language at that place in the text, the meaning conveyed by the English translation is implied. Original language words can be studied further in resources such as:
