A personal take on this boss fight in general is that throughout this, it shows Floweys demented form of his own memories from when he was Asriel. I believe when he did lose his own soul, he still had core memories "stick" to him. I believe that these drove him mad, either through grief guilt or both. Of course along with Asriel some of Charas essence was present too. Maybe that also contributed to his evil nature? Idk, just some food for thought.

Mechanical: The camera used with Chara and Asriel Organic: Chara dying Patchworked, Paper, and Clay: Maybe memories of the two together? Polygonial: A game they could've played possible.
Chara fell in 201X, right? Then Specimen: Mechanical might be referencing the guns they tried to shoot Asriel with when he held Chara's body to the surface
In Afterlife and most of the specimen songs, several voices can be heard. These are the characters I think these voices belong to: *Afterlife:* Clover: The voice that is singing in the background throughout the entire song. It's a grown up version of Clover's voice however, to represent how Flowey views his relationship with Clover. Flowey: This one is straight up confirmed. Flowey's voice is very clearly heard at 0:17 and 0:29 with his famous line "That's a wonderful idea!" ripped straight from an old McDonalds commercial, but distorting and repeating wonderful 3 times before fading out. Other Flowey sound effects are heard throughout the song. "Wonderful" is heard in Flowey's voice at 0:42 as well. Dalv: At 0:23 and 0:35 a mysterious and spooky voice is heard going o-o-o o o o o o. Dalv is a mysterious and somewhat spooky guy, and also the first major new character we meet after we are forced on to a new route by Flowey. *Specimen Patchwork:* Decibat: In the second part of the song a scratchy voice can be heard. This voice seems very likely it could come from Decibat when angry. Decibat is also the first miniboss and patchwork is considered the first specimen by the OST, and specimens are kind of minibosses themselves. *Specimen Organic:* There are no voices heard in this one. *Specimen Clay:* Jevil: Despite having seemingly no affilitation to Undertale Yellow, Jevil's voice is heard throughout specimen clay. Jevil is a secret boss in Deltarune. Is this foreshadowing for Flowey being a secret boss in Deltarune? I know Undertale Yellow is a fangame, but I feel like in more ways than one Undertale Yellow foreshadows Deltarune. Ceroba is straight up Mayor Holiday. Choices don't matter in both games, except in geno. Meta Flowey and the Roaring are shockingly similar. *Specimen Paper:* Martlet: The same distorted Martlet laugh from when she says I F O U N D Y O U is heard in this specimen. El Bailador: At 3:33 and 3:40 a voice that sounds exactly how the voice of a character named "The Dancer" ("El Bailador" is just "The Dancer" in Spanish.) would sound like. El Bailador is also the 4th boss encountered including both mini bosses and main bosses, and paper is considered the 4th specimen. Ace: The voice heard in the background in specimen paper seems like Ace's actual voice. Ace is also the 4th most important member of the Feisty Five, which also lines up with paper being the 4th specimen. Ace is also a mysterious man, which lines up well with Dalv, Decibat, and Jevil. *Specimen Polygonal:* Ceroba: At 5:13 a feminine but (slightly) deep voice can be heard. Ceroba is the only character in Undertale Yellow that has a deep feminine voice. (Guardener is also female and her voice is low pitched but it just sounds robotic.) The voice hums Flowey's leitmotif, and this is likely Flowey getting back at Ceroba for using the human for her own bidding, even though Flowey does the exact same thing. Ceroba is also the 5th main boss in the pacifist route and 5th boss in geno if you do fight the minibosses in that route, and polygonal is the 5th specimen according to the OST listings. *Specimen Mechanical:* Axis and Guardener: Beginning at 5:38 robotic screams can be heard. Most of these sound like they come from Axis, but at 5:46 there is one that sounds like it comes from Guardener. The gear attack in this specimen is similar to some of Guardener's attacks, and in this specimen Flowey has two assisting helicopters that need to be destroyed, similar to Axis's assisting batteries that need to be destroyed. I couldn't find any instances of Starlo's voice heard in Afterlife or any of the specimens.
Undertale yellow is actually a little more than a fan-game, Toby Fox confirmed that it’s canon! The pacifist route is the real ending linked to Undertale, but I think the neutral route might have happened before too.
Patchwork - Patience Organic - Bravery Clay - Integrity Paper - Perseverance Polygonal - Kindness Mechanical - Justice It seems like the soul phases parallel with these phases, like how Patchwork is a giant toy much like Patience's toy knife
But how are clay, organic and polygonal related remotely to integrity, bravery and kindness? Mechanical is justice because gun and paper alludes to the torn notebook while patchwork is a doll(a toy) aka toy knife, sure, but how do clay, organic and polygonak relate to those soul traits?
@andreaslefteri3661 Organic kinda makes sense when you think about Bravery's weapon being tough gloves, you need to have a strong body if you wanna put those things to work and Bravery definitely seems like the kinda human who would focus on his Organic body more
@andreaslefteri3661 as for Clay and Polygonal, I'm not too sure about them either but everything else makes sense to me so that's good enough in my book
Well, here is my opinion about it all: Patchwork is Patience because Flowey looks pretty much like a doll and Cyan soul used to have stuff related to dolls such as ribbon and toy knife Organic is Bravery (Orange) because you have to defeat your fears if you want to be brave. And all the fears live in your heart so you have to fight with your heart. This part of the battle takes it literally though Clay is Integrity because claywork is an art, just as ballet and Blue soul used to be the ballerina. Also you have to be honest when you create something Paper is Perseverance because paper is what books contain. And Purple soul used to have a notebook. Also there are often words written on the paper and if you want others to hear your words you have to persevere Polygonal is Kindness (Green) because all the Flowey faces are trying to look nice and friendly in this part. Before they attack Clover, of course. Also kindness is pretty unusual thing and it can be shown in many different shapes Mechanical is Justice (Yellow) because Clover has a gun and there are some guns being used. Also there are saws sometimes and those are one of many ways to torture or kill the victim for their sins (commit justice, as it is usually called). But as Flowey once said, Justice is a close word but the actual one is Judgement. And his point actually has a chance to be true So... Yeah, this is how I see it. Developers are just geniuses (and I actually mean it)

Powered by the shell of the Prince of all monsters, Asriel Dreemurr. *That’s just crazy.* Monsterkind would probably be in good hands if they had him grow up normally to become/ rule as king. On the other hand, I can’t shake off the fact that he’s manipulating and doing this to children here, even if he’s become a soulless, sentient flower creature at a young age that has since _sort of_ grown much older and wiser at least mentally _in his own, twisted sense_ through his gained powers and process of saving and loading throughout the time that happened and before UnderTale started, doing whatever to several generations of monsters and six humans over and over again all throughout. …maybe this isn’t so crazy, and now that I’ve thought about it, he more than likely wouldn’t be anything like Flowey at all if he grew up normally, and more than anything, he’d just resemble Asgore.
(Continued) My reaction to the final fight in classic UnderTale’s Pacifist route applies here, like that little sucker in a green shirt did all THIS? *ALL THIS?!?* (including his older form and the final form after that, and then Omega Flowey, and now this, _though it’s non-cannon)_ (Of course, he did this as Flowey, but still) He’s a good, well written character. Alphys struck me in a similar fashion, but to a lesser degree, Sans casually flexes, and Gaster’s too enigmatic to even consider.
(Continued) Though this would’ve probably relit the human-monster war, any chance the monsters could’ve escaped the underground early by giving Chara a magic staff, teaching them the ways of magic, and have Chara, Asgore, and a couple other monsters just pool their efforts together to punch a hole through the barrier, and thus allow monsters to leak out without having to outright shatter the barrier? (Chara had a red soul, so I’m guessing that they would’ve been stronger than most other human magic users?)
Seriously this, omega flowey and other comes from Asriel. Really goes to show Asriel's soul was full of compassion and empathy in both undertale and deltarune. flowey shows how bad if a monster especially a boss monster became psychopathic
specimen clay is the best. Also I think it would be better if you used the weird interrupted laugh from the game instead of static for the transitions.
Or another decent choice would be the "gotcha :)" song from the OST, since it's the song that plays in Flowey's monologue before things somehow get even more chaotic. Although I'd say it's more of a "terrifyingly hopeless" song that wouldn't really fit to go in the *same* video as Afterlife
To be honest, the theme is a bit too short to enjoy, and the weird instruments don't match with the design. Patchworked sounds like something from Yoshi's Woolly World, Organic has the heartrate beeps, Clay sounds like something from an old edutainment game, which aligns with the dithered visuals, Polygonal sounds like something from Ocarina of Time, Mechanical sounds like something you'd hear in a movie about war, but what does Paper have? You could say it sounds like a boss theme from SPM, like for example Mimi's theme, but other than that it doesn't fit with the phase.
If you think about this, this opens up yet another plot hole- If Flowey couldn't control Clover here, why did they think they could in Undertale? The rebellion of at least the yellow soul should have been clear from the start.
Simple, Flowey learned from this fight and keep Clover in a separate area from the rest of the human souls to monitor and tormented them after understand how persistent clover truly is he took precautions to keep they under wrap

kinda sad that specimen patchwork is the only one with the flowey motif
would’ve been nice if the others had it
it's in mechanical, faintly
Thirty four thumbs
Afaik, all of the specimen themes except organic have motifs from either "Your Best Friend" or "Your Best Nightmare" in them. The part starting at 0:07 on the original specimen: organic video might be a remixed version of the Your Best Nightmare motif, but I'm not too sure
Motifs i could find
Patchwork, mechanical and polygonal have Your Best Friend (really hard to hear on the last one, at the very end)
Clay has Your Best Nightmare
Organic has Once Upon A Time
Paper has no motifs at all
@@asierx7047I don’t think organic is once upon a time, it’s not that similar.
Powered by the shell of the Prince of all monsters, Asriel Dreemurr.
*That’s just crazy.*
Monsterkind would probably be in good hands if they had him grow up normally to become/ rule as king.
(Continued)
My reaction to the final fight in classic UnderTale’s Pacifist route applies here, like that little sucker in a green shirt did all THIS? *ALL THIS?!?* (including his older form and the final form after that, and then Omega Flowey, and now this, _though it’s non-cannon)_
(Of course, he did this as Flowey, but still)
He’s a good, well written character.
Alphys struck me in a similar fashion, but to a lesser degree, Sans casually flexes, and Gaster’s too enigmatic to even consider.
(Continued)
Though this would’ve probably relit the human-monster war, any chance the monsters could’ve escaped the underground early by giving Chara a magic staff, teaching them the ways of magic, and have Chara, Asgore, and a couple other monsters just pool their efforts together to punch a hole through the barrier, and thus allow monsters to leak out without having to outright shatter the barrier?
(Chara had a red soul, so I’m guessing that they would’ve been stronger than most other human magic users?)
Seriously this, omega flowey and other comes from Asriel. Really goes to show Asriel's soul was full of compassion and empathy in both undertale and deltarune. flowey shows how bad if a monster especially a boss monster became psychopathic

Wish you put “best friends forever” in the beginning
Yes
Or another decent choice would be the "gotcha :)" song from the OST, since it's the song that plays in Flowey's monologue before things somehow get even more chaotic. Although I'd say it's more of a "terrifyingly hopeless" song that wouldn't really fit to go in the *same* video as Afterlife
Just became ur 100th subscriber
I will state my opinion
3:28 Specimen Paper is THE BEST specimen theme
To be honest, the theme is a bit too short to enjoy, and the weird instruments don't match with the design. Patchworked sounds like something from Yoshi's Woolly World, Organic has the heartrate beeps, Clay sounds like something from an old edutainment game, which aligns with the dithered visuals, Polygonal sounds like something from Ocarina of Time, Mechanical sounds like something you'd hear in a movie about war, but what does Paper have? You could say it sounds like a boss theme from SPM, like for example Mimi's theme, but other than that it doesn't fit with the phase.

If you think about this, this opens up yet another plot hole-
If Flowey couldn't control Clover here, why did they think they could in Undertale? The rebellion of at least the yellow soul should have been clear from the start.
Simple, Flowey learned from this fight and keep Clover in a separate area from the rest of the human souls to monitor and tormented them after understand how persistent clover truly is he took precautions to keep they under wrap

Does anyone know how is afterlife named in game files
Idk... Maybe check your folder or try to crack it
afterlife
@@fingers422 i checked and there wasnt an .ogg like this, perhaps its in data itself, which sucks cause i cant crack it with undertale mod tool for some reason(it writes that at some line an unknown boolean is used).
@@mikhailsalamanca2405 tried finding it in the mus folder and yes, it's absent from there. It's name in the files is "mus_f_phase2_gray"
If you are running in the boolean error in UndertaleModTool, you have to download the latest release. NOT STABLE release. Choose "Bleeding Edge"
Isn't the entire soundtrack listed and named on the gamejolt page?
in the phase where floweyy is like medical and all that if while using headphones (with stereo sound) move your head to the bass it feels cool d

Its a loop. The video transitions into itself ad infinitum. You’re meant to put it on loop using the video options and just have it go round forever. I made this so i could put it on in the background.
(And also there is no afterlife version of finale. Would’ve put it there otherwise.)

It does kinda bum me out this fight doesn’t have its own version of finale and just ends with flowey getting bored, pretty anticlimactic.
But it's perfectly in character and in lore.
