I love how in Undertale the different phases were Flowey using the souls that represent each of the humans power traits. While in Undertale Yellow it represents all of Flowey’s different traits of how he wants you dead distorting and transforming in each phase hoping he will never get bored killing you.
There's a theory talikn abt how all the specimens are the things that were inserted to Flowey one way or another while his creation on the lab. It's pretty interesting, ngl.
The fact that they implemented every boss monster that you killed, even Ceroba from the genocide route, into a twisted malformed version of them and their attacks is the coolest shit I’ve ever seen. 1 year spent on this whole boss was worth everything.
Do the genocide route up until the Ceroba boss fight. Then kill Ceroba ,and when you enter steamworks either spare the robots or miss some of them before encountering Axis. If you do that you'll be on the netrual route and then in phase 1 of Floweys fight there's a slight chance of Ceroba appearing as an amalgamate or shadow (however it's called).@@SomeoneCalledKoi2
This game teaches you that in such world where your soul doesn't have enough capability to even save themselves alone, you are pretty much doomed. Either to become stronger though blood, or to die, one way, or another. So fucking bitter to be honest

I personally think that the organic form is associated with memories of Charas' death, mechanical is also about him being attacked by humans, and polygonal form is about Flowey knowing that their world is a game.
Something I love about Best Friends Forever is that almost all of the lead instruments sound like they're mimicking screaming or crying, since some of them are extremely shrill and harsh-sounding while others will just drop off in pitch after a bit, almost like a human voice breaking from sadness.

Personally I think Alphys injected DT into one of her plushies of Mew Mew to see what would happen. Organic: Monsters aren't made of blood or organs so the only thing that would make sense is the specimen being the corpse of one of the fallen humans, which I guess makes sense from an experimental perspective. If you inject this thing that used to have DT with DT, what will happen? Paper: I mean, the only thing that would make sense is some sort of origami or similar paper craft item being injected with or more likely soaked in determination. Clay: Same thing here, Alphys either injected some clay figure or something similar with DT. Moving on. Mechanical: Given how Flowey is a gun in this phase, perhaps Alphys injected some determination into a firearm to see what would happen. It's not like she couldn't get her hands on one, the technology of gunpowder clearly exists in this world from the gun store in The Wild East. BEST FRIENDS FOREVER With this one being close behind at 233k views, this track is the 2nd most viewed overall! 3. SPECIMEN: Clay The most viewed specimen, with 90k views, arguably goes the hardest. This tidbit is one of mine and many's favourite. 4. SPECIMEN: Patchworked I personally find this one the goofiest. With a view count of 67k, there isn't much to say from my viewpoint. 5. SPECIMEN:Mechanical This is personally my favourite. Gaining a view count of 58k views, this phase probably resonates with Clover the most. For me, at least. 6. SPECIMEN:Paper This one goes so hard. I don't know why, honestly. With a view count of 56k, this is... well, it's a nice one, to say the least. 7. SPECIMEN:Organic This one is probably my favourite visually. Yeah Polygonal always makes my heart race a little bit. It just feels so uncanny idk. My least favorite phase but one of the most effective (scary) in the fight for me.

Specimen: Polygonal was easily the most unsettling of them all to me. It was just an empty eyed shell of its former self. It rotated and screamed, stick figures reaching outwards, trying to grab and crush you to bleeding shards.
Flowey really reminded us what his true nature is. In Pacifist, you could pass his buddy persona off as him in the early stages of seeing the world as a game where he still tried to care for others before beginning to view people as just sets of 1s and 0s that could be treated like toys, but not here. Now, Clover is the new toy on the block, Flowey’s friend inside him if you will
The Amalgamations are other monsters that they injected with Determination and the only ones that are logged are the amalgamations and Flowey and they said in the logs that the Flowey experiment didn't work (even though it did) so they didn't try anymore.

Yeah Polygonal always makes my heart race a little bit. It just feels so uncanny idk. My least favorite phase but one of the most effective (scary) in the fight for me.

Specimen: Polygonal was easily the most unsettling of them all to me. It was just an empty eyed shell of its former self. It rotated and screamed, stick figures reaching outwards, trying to grab and crush you to bleeding shards.

In Pacifist, you could pass his buddy persona off as him in the early stages of seeing the world as a game where he still tried to care for others before beginning to view people as just sets of 1s and 0s that could be treated like toys, but not here. Now, Clover is the new toy on the block, Flowey’s friend inside him if you will

I just had a theory, what if the specimins were other things they tried injecting determination into in the true lab?
The Amalgamations are other monsters that they injected with Determination and the only ones that are logged are the amalgamations and Flowey and they said in the logs that the Flowey experiment didn't work (even though it did) so they didn't try anymore.
