Hudson looks so much more healthier than when you guys first got him. He and Henry have a very good mom in Hope. Congratulations on the purchase of the other cows!
Hudson looks like he is filling out nicely. I'm glad he is in a home where he will be treated kindly. The herd you bought from the previous owner look like nice, well cared for cattle too. Love the pigs! They look very friendly.
Your pigs are beautiful. They seem very content and well socialized. It makes me happy to see people treat all of their animals with kindness and respect. Some people are kind to their pets and inhumane to the animals they are raising for meat. I feel like if the animal is going to make that sacrifice to provide food for your family or income, it deserves the same love and care as a pet. You guys are awesome with your animals and your homestead really is wonderful.
Hope is so pretty, I love her dark face in contrast to her lighter body. Her boys are adorable. I love how you guys treat your animals. Even though you're raising them for food the affection you have for them and the care you give them is so wonderful. I've seen some farmers that do not treat their animals well and it sickens me.
Congratulations on buying your new cattle, the calfs and hopefully new piglets. Your farm is growing and prospering. It is so much fun to watch all this happening.
You guys are great stewards of your animals and the land. You are so dedicated to care for all of it. I just admire you greatly. Good things happen for good people. You are proof of this. Continued blessings for you and your family.
Everyone I know who have the Idaho Pasture Pigs just Love them. Like every animal, some moms get very protective over newborns, and do not want you near them. However they say that as the piglets age and start running around the mothers relax. They also said that the more litters they have, the older they get, the less stressed out the moms become. Made me think of human moms. That first baby had us all on pins & needles. By the 3rd your giving that invisible Boo-boo a kiss and saying all gone rather than thinking of everything it could possibly be. Someone holds your first baby & thoughts of freak accidents fill your mind, someone comes to visit with your 3rd and your offering them to hold your baby. Momma pig feels the same way when you pick up hers. So, don't be surprised if you see that in yours. Overall, they are a good homestead pig.
The new herd looks great! Can’t wait to see all those calves. You two are very brave to take on all this with your other homesteading chores. Surely you will get helpers! Nice piece of property! Actually, with raising pigs too, you have gone in a real business of growing a real farm. Chickens, ducks, rabbits, pigs, cattle, calves, milk cows, green house gardening, outside gardens, feeding, preserving, and more like haying!
I predict in the next 10 years most likely you will end up buying the land next to the new farm. With Kevins parents moving down bigger food supplies will be nice. Quite sure good fresh air and good grown food will make a big difference in his dads health. The whole farm growth is a good thing for everyone.
I'm smiling about the pigs... My grandmother had 13 brothers and sisters- and three were Myrtle, Millie, Charlie! And... wait for it... the family farm was primarily a pig farm! Good memories😊💕
Those cows are beautiful, congrats. If you are going to have animals... pick pretty ones... lol And Charlie is the coolest boar EVER. He is so chill and adorable. Temperament is so important for safety too. And... the pigs are truly cute... such personalities in those faces... and SNOUTS!
That's a big move, 10 cows! You are going to have your hands full this spring with the arrival of all the babies and getting all of your starts ready! Are you still going to sell your starts at the farmers market or are you just phasing that out all together? So excited over baby piglets. Nothing cuter than piglets except kittens! I love how even though your animals have a purpose of food, you treat them with love and respect...that's a great thing from where I stand.
Congratulations on the new herd of cows!!! They are good looking cows too. One thing to consider is some people will "borrow/rent" a bull from another farm during breeding season as it's much cheaper than owning one and having to feed it all year long. I've always thought Jersey cows were the prettiest of all the milk cows, and Hope is one of the prettiest. Her coat is so shiny as well as being a copper color vs a tan color like some Jerseys. And of course her demeanor is so sweet. She's just a big pet actually!!😊 I don't think she's ever had a mean bone in her! She's always gentle and a very good mom. I love the name Hudson for her adopted calf!! He has really grown and filled out nicely since being with Hope! She gives both calves plenty of groceries for growing healthy babies.
God is good. What a blessing to purchase cows!!! You guys are very smart. Love the pigs. Wait until they have the baby pigs... very sweet little wee piggies!!!!
No sure how long it’s been since you had your cow....but I remember when you first got her, seeing and watching Sarah a kilts hesitate you be close to her...you have come a long way...over in the new pasture just petting her like she’s a pet dog. 👍👍
The cows look beautiful! That is great you decided to purchase cows for the homestead. And the Idaho pasture pigs are nice. And that is great that you decided to breed Charlie with Mildred and the other. Thanks for sharing your homestead with us. God bless! 💜
I just wanna say thanks you two are are awesome together. We have been watching your channel for a year now and watched all your videos. We have a small farm and rent land for our cows goats and pigs. God has now blessed us with a new 7.5 acre farm house. I thank you for the awesome of wealth of farming/homestead knowledge. Keep The Faith and Godrulz.
as i’ve said before, i’m living my (dream) life through you all. to be surrounded by such lovely animals and beautiful sights, has to be fantastic!! best wishes for all!! ❤️
Thanks for keeping us up to date. You guys have so much work to do, farming and cattle ranch...I’m sure stopping to make videos takes away that precious time, appreciate and enjoy the videos you make.
I love all your animals. Hope is just beautiful and her babies. I think your new cattle and pigs feel loved and quite at home at your homestead. I missed seeing the ducks this time. What's happening with the fish pond and orchard? We/you have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming months. It sounds to be a mild winter for us in NE Arkansas and ya'll too. I really enjoy watching your videos, the gardening, animals, preserving, canning, and freezing. I enjoy seeing both of you cook/bake. I hope preholidays we can see more cookies, candies, cheeseballs, food gift ideas and such. I saved both of your favorite cookie videos and look forward to more. Possibly some yeast rolls, biscuits, bread, cornbread. I appreciate all the time you devote to your homestead and channel. You've made some wise decisions and investments that will pay off for you in the future. God bless

Great video and such great new things happening! God is surely blessing you! We are not big cattle raising folks, we purchased an already bred cow and she gave us a nice Angus bull calf. We were given a blind Angus heifer that we bottle fed for 4.5 months and growing her out. Because we do not know if the genetics were bad or why she was born blind, we do not plan to breed her. She will be our beef for just the two of us, so that is a lot of meat ( we will be giving some to our family as well)...but we plan on selling the bull calf - Use that money to pay toward the processing of our heifer calf. Neighbor has 3 bulls ( 2 Angus and 1 Hereford), so instead of us keeping a bull on our property, we bartered to let us bring our cow to his bull. We have helped him on numerous projects, so instead of him paying us, we are getting a nice breeding...country folks are good like that! So IMO, unless you really want to get a bull and keep him separated on your property for controlled future breedings...consider "leasing" a bull...cheaper than purchase and upkeep and don't have to have issues with a bull tearing down fences...just my opinion...I love your pigs! with us planning on getting beef processed this next spring (fingers crossed if we can get in), getting more pork won't be on the menu...however...very interested in purchasing some gilt piglets in the future! Love the looks and description of that breed. Can't wait to see how your butcher pigs come out. God Bless!
Hope and her babies are doing so well and are so sweet! Congratulations on your beautiful new herd of cows...10 of them! Wow! Your plans for breeding pigs seems very smart...can't wait to see the first batch of piglets! Also...can't wait to see your new bull! Lots of exciting plans for your wonderful homestead!

No Charlie! Don't get up on our account. You just rest buddy. Seems like you have been one busy boar. Hope is just the sweetest cow EVER! I love how she has taken to Hudson. He loves his mama as well. Everything is looking great there. Keep up the great work you are doing.
It's been an amazing journey watching you guys grow from not much more than backyard homesteaders to pretty much full fledged farmers. I love how you have done this so gradually, trying hard not to take on more than you could handle. You've always made sure you have the knowledge you need before you take a step. This is so perfect both for your family and for the animals who then get the proper care and attention that they need. You're doing it right, kids! May God continue to bless you and those of us who love your videos. I can't live this lifestyle anymore, but I love being able to enjoy your life and commitment! It's the next best thing to being there!
My Grandpa had always kept his bull with his cows. Every two years he would sell his bull and buy a new one. He also kept a written record so there would be inbreeding. He had registered polled Herefords. Dad had Limosenes(sp?). I love the white faces. For some reason they make me happy and more calm. Wow, you could have more fruit trees. That looks a good farm. George says that piglets tend to escape through the fences and like running around and exploring. Good luck. George is a neighbor and has cattle and sheep and goats and sometimes pigs.
Great News guys- Sarah I am amazed !! if you look back on your early videos you were terrified of the larger animal coming onto your homestead, but WOW look at you now- very well done Sarah. Cheers Denise - Australia
So many good things in this episode! I'll bet little Hudson thinks he won the calf lottery getting mama Hope and brother Henry and a lovely big pasture to live on ;) I imagine the grain is important for Hope, too, as pasture fades with fall coming on. Such a good decision you made with beef cattle and also shipping the bull to later get a new one. My Dad raised Limousin cattle, nice to see them! Anyway, well done! You continue to inspire!
I think you said that the Idaho Pasture Pigs were part Kune Kune. I have friends who raise the Kune Kune and they just love their temperment and the way they graze. It is so much fun watching you on your homestead and seeing the growth in the number of animals you have and the relationship you have with them. I'm so glad I found you!
Hudson! It amazes me how attached the new baby has become to Hope. And he is looking so healthy! How exciting to have a heard of cows. It's true your pasture does turn wild quick. We are really learning that at the homestead. We can't believe how things have grown up in just a few years. We finally got some rain here at the campground. I hope it rained as much at the farm. Take care we love watching your videos.
What a blessing to have all those animals. The pigs look so tame & relaxed. The 10 heifers look great as well. The mix of Limousine & Hereford should be good since the Hereford are more quiet & Limousine are maybe better moms. Have you ever thought of a Gelbveih bull? You can find some that are medium sized, but they are a dual breed (beef & good for milking too), they are quiet, & mature fairly fast. We loved our Gelbveihs!
Hudson has gained a bit of belly already. Love animals. I just said to my wife, I would love to have a property like that, do Gardening, have cows, couple horses and lots of Chickens. We do live out in the country but only have a half acre lot. we do have some Chickens and I have about 10 different breeds of pigeons.
Awesome on purchasing the Beef Cows, they are good looking Cows too! Nice on the Pigs, they are cute as buttons. So exciting on hoping on them breeding and helping with additional income for the farm. Hope and the Boys look great Hudson gained some weight I see. She is such a good Mommy. God bless!
Thank you for showing us your new cows. How much fun is that! Charlie is so chill. Love seeing your animals. How are the bunnies doing? Hope they are well.
Very clever move, to purchase these cows, and only These, because they know the lay of the land. I like, how you think things through. Likewise with the pigs... Perfect choice of breed.
That cow has got to be one of the most beautiful cows I have ever seen.

It's so expiring the way you guys describe being Self sufficient Homestead!
God-bless you all!
Hope looks so beautiful and healthy and the new baby looks like it has gained some weight :)
CONGRADULATIONS on all your new & old babies.
I love all the animals. Had to laugh when one of the white faced ones walked right up and looked in the camera. Kind of a photo bomb! God Bless.
You have so many wonderful and beautiful animals. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
I am so excited to see how well Hope and babies are doing . Exited for u guys for your new cows.
Wow, you guys keep growing and growing. So fun watching and learning from you two.
Hudson, is a great name for a very lucky calf.
The new calf looks very healthy! Great job, Hope!
Congratulations on the new herd of cattle and your pigs.
In few words AWSOME WONDERFUL GREAT PRAISE THE LORD.
I love all your animals. My first love is cows and the beef cattle you purchased are absolutely gorgeous. Love the close ups of furry faces.Have fun.
Beautiful day on the homestead. Thank you so much for this awesome share. blessings
Hudson has gained a lot of weight!! Thank you! Love ur channel.🙏💖🇺🇸
Ya'll did the absolute best thing for your wallets great move thumbs up my friends
Your new cows look so healthy and beautiful. Like the pigs too.
All your animals are so photogenic. Your new cows seemed to be posing in the background while you were filming.
May God continue to bless and prosper your family and your farm.
Toronto, Canada.
I absolutely love both the Hereford as well as the Limousin breeds on their own...Totally awesome to have that combo x 10!!! Congratulations!!! 🌻🌿💚
I'll say it again. You guys are great! Just love you and love watching you!
God bless!
So many awesome things happening. It's going to be very fun and interesting to watch your growth on the homestead!
Those cows are such a great investment. After you get a bull you will have an income for life. And no shortage of red meat.
Congratulations on your new additions to your farm- your cutie-pigs and the keeyows ! 💕
Thanks for sharing! May the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY BLESS YOU AND ALL WHO ARE WATCHING!
Loving seeing Hope and babies.
Jeanne, May our Lord also bless you.
