You dont need to put evaporated milk, that's weird. Pesto doesn't need to have dairy beyond the cheese. Sorry that sauce looks nasty and goopy, fresh herbs are best without dairy because you cant taste the freshness of the herbs. keep more water, no milk.

recipe looks good but if you add onions taste better
