      You really want to know what NATURAL FLAVOURING is? Brace yourself - the cabal run all the pet food places, all the big pharmaceuticals - everything. They are satanic and practice b*aby and chi*ld sacr(ifi(ces. So what do you think they do with the body parts???? Of course the FDA will not be informing someone like Susan exactly what they put in there.

    Thank you so much Rachel for bringing this awesome caring woman to your audience. I'm been sitting on the fence about buying a "back up" bag of dog food, but after this, not only won't I be doing it for the health of my dog, who is "family", but also for ethical reasons for the lives of the animals that become pet kibble...
    For their souls and also my dog's soul; one cannot be healthy spiritually if eating animals that have suffered.
    I learned a lot and will share with everyone who will listen.

    So much valuable information in this interview. I can’t help but think that the dog food I fed to all of our dogs in the past had been extremely detrimental to their health.
    I like to think that I’m far more educated on this subject now, and am feeding our current pooches far better and safer diets. But given that this interview shows how complex this subject is, I know I’ve only scraped the surface of this issue on safe and effective canine nutrition. Thank you very much to both of you!

      Gosh I hear ya there friend! There are so many mistakes I feel like I made before I had more research and information. The important thing is that we continue to research and grow and learn and adjust. There will always be knew information and it’s what we do with the info that matters most. One of my favorite quotes is by Maya Angelou, she says “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” I feel this in my bones! Thank you for doing better friend!

    I just found your content yesterday. This & the interview with the vet. (Sorry, her name escapes me. Dr Jane, maybe?) Both eye-opening. Do you have any recipe recommendations for making my dog’s food at home. As a senior on social security, I simply cannot afford the better quality commercial dog foods. I’m not sure I can afford to make his meals either, but I need to find some good recipes to be able to figure it out. Obviously, I don’t want to just google and use a recipe when I don’t have the background to evaluate whether it is healthy and provides proper nutrition. Thank you for the content you are providing.

    Rachel, I have a 6 year old Sheltie that has a dead thyroid (on meds) and gall bladder removal. I’m feeding low fat kibble. Farmina ND weight management kibble plus Weruva canned. I have to watch fat content. Treats are also low fat. But I learned about the synthetics plus all the other “bad” stuff. Any other ideas what to feed? He gets random fruits and veggies too. Thanks.

    The FDA is complete joke. I work in personal care formulation for humans, not pet care, but we are also essentially completely unregulated. Unless you’re trying to make topical drugs, the FDA will not lift a finger. A few years ago, many women had burned scalps and health issues caused by products made by a brand named Devacurl. The FDA did not even investigate the claims (despite the amount of women affected) and Devacurl simply reformulated. My guess is that they were improperly formulating with the formaldehyde-releasing preservative they used in the old formula, causing a large amount of formaldehyde to be released in the product. Currently I’m noticing a lot of brands quietly getting rid of these preservatives after a long term Brazilian study came out showing many common NA and EU products using these were leeching FAR more formaldehyde into products over time than what was claimed. It drives me bonkers that we have absolutely safe preservatives widely available for a huge range of formulas, and some brands STILL cheap out by using formaldehyde releasers!! Anyways rant over, the FDA is a joke.

    I’m feeding my 4 month old Lab the food recommended by the breeder and 2 of the first 5 listed ingredients on the bag are fish meal and canola meal. Sounds bad, right?

    • @VictoriaA_09
      @VictoriaA_09 Год назад +2

      Hi, usually breeders don't recommend/use good brands of food unfortunately and fish & canola meal aren't great. (this is just from my personal experience) I would suggest you change food as soon as you can. I also have a lab so I understand that raw/home cooked food can be quite expensive, however, what you can do which makes a big difference, is getting the best quality kibble you can afford, and add toppers. Some toppers could be: fruit and veg (carrots, pumpkin, peppers, cauliflower, green beans, beetroot, apples, banana etc), canned sardines in water, raw or cooked chicken/quail eggs with the shell, greek yogurt, some meat (minced meat, liver, kidneys etc), coconut water/kefir/bone broth. Then in terms of homemade supplements you can add golden paste, salmon oil, brewers yeast etc.
      Hope this helps!

      Flaxseed meal is not like meat meal that she was talking about ❤️ Flaxseed comes from the flax plant. Ideally, flaxseed should be freshly ground and added to food, but if your concern was about the “meal” portion, I hope this eases your mind some.
