Yes.. that is because they are actually nose up.. when landing.. the plane is a bit rotated up to ensure the back landing gear land first then the front.. for a smooth and stable touch down..
To answer your question at 4:02. A Nose up attitude ensures you have enough drag on the wings to reduce lift & speed while providing an aircraft with the perfect angle of attack onto the runway for a safe landing.
@@aaaviation1 Turboprops tend to land with a more nose down or more level angle because of their wing profile and lower landing speed. The ATR's and Twin Otters especially I've seen do spectacularly steep final approaches. Their wings, flaps and even propellers can induce a lot of drag. You can practically idle the engines and do a steep approach while maintaining very low speeds. The E-jets I suspect lands at a higher angle of attack due to its wing profile requiring it to land at a higher angle of attack to induce more drag. This same wing profile allows it to generate more lift (because of less drag) for shorter take-offs and be more efficient at cruise levels, which results in less fuel burn. You should check out the E2 series which has an even more efficient wing compared to the E1 series. The E-Jets are famous for being able to land and take-off from short runways. In fact, the Embraer 195-E2 is the largest aircraft certified to operate in and out of London City airport.
4:03, landing flare, nose ups means a slower descent, allowing for a softer touch down, pretty nifty skill and experience to approach it perfectly weather not with standing... aviation enthusiast over here, we need more plane spotters in Nairobi, love the video. keep it up, algorihm imenilete content yako apa.

Hi there! Thanks for that input! Hope you’re enjoying the channel!
In 80s there was a viewing deck we could pay n go upstairs in the afternoon
Yes I remember! My dad took me a few times in the nineties. I’m presuming it shut with the events of 9/11.
Glad to see the JM Samsung Livery
It’s not an easy catch to be honest!

Hi Sam, was actually wondering on the E-Jet which seems to have a higher angle than most commercial aircraft?
I don't think it was out of the ordinary. Compared with the Q400 though then yeah, a bit more angled.

Thanks for the kind words man! Keep watching, I hope more spotters will come out of the woodwork and create a community in Kenya!
Apart from DHL are there any other cessna caravans that operate from JKIA E.G Humanitarian ops, tourist game drive drop offs etc
Yes, yellow wings or something like that are based at JKIA I believe with a Cessna 208
Great catches mate 👏 Keep it going 👏
Thank you sir!! Will be close to your neck of the woods next month by the way!
But in my opinion the Embraers nose up attitude looks more “severe” than other aircraft no?
That’s definitely my observation too, way more than a 737 or A320

Hi I'm a very big fan could you try to do the live landings or the life you take off 🛬🛫
Hi thanks for watching, I really appreciate it!
I could but I really need to upgrade equipment for me to make that happen. I will try in good time
