Age of Mythology Gameplay, Single Player, Learn to Play Tutorial.
Norse: There are three things to remember when playing the Norse. Instead of building Granaries or Storehouse, the Norse bring their resources to mobile drop sites, known as Ox Carts. Ox Carts can be trained out of the Town Center and ordered to move almost anywhere on the map. Another difference for the Norse is how they gain Favor. Instead of praying to their Gods, the Norse gain Favor through Battle. They Simply Fight to Please their Gods. Whenever a Norse Soldier is fighting anything in the game, your Favor will increase. The final difference is that all Norse buildings are constructed or repaired by infantry units. Norse Gatherers can only build Farms and collect resources. Any Norse infantry unit can build and repair buildings.
Egyptian: When playing Egyptians, there are two things to remember. First... the Pharaoh is one of your most important units. He can be tasked to empower different buildings in your city. While the Pharaoh is empowering a completed building, the building will train units, research improvements and gather resources faster. The Pharaoh can also be tasked on foundations, speeding the buidings' construction. In Combat. your Pharoah is very strong against myth units. You only have one Pharaoh, so where and when to use him is very important. The Egyptians gain Favor by building Monuments. There are five different Monuments that can be built. You can only build one of each. You will gain Favor faster with each new one constructed.
Atlantean: When commanding Atlanteans there are a few things to remember. First, their citizens take longer to train and are more expensive. However, they gather and build nearly three times as fast as other villagers. Also, they do not require any drop sites when they are gathering. Atlanteans scout using Oracles. Oracles have a small line of sight when moving but, when still, their line pf sight grows. Atlanteans can instantly promote any of their human units to Heroes for a price. Units that are turned to heroes are a little better at everything they do but they are much better at fighting enemymyth units. To get Favor, Atlanteans must control Town Centers. The more Town Centers an Atlantean player has, the faster he generates favor. Unlike other cultures, the Atlanteans can build new Town Centers from the very start of the game.
Chinese: There are three things to remember when playing the Chinese. First... You must build Gardens to earn Favor. Each Garden you build increases your Favor income. However, your Gardens can also be used to generate other resources instead. The Chinese have Eight Immortals at their disposal. These heroes utilize both ranged and melee attacks. They will use whichever weapon they deem most useful in a fight. But above all, they excel against myth units. One of the most remarkable Chinese units is the Monk. They can heal your wounded soldiers, but they can also convert enemy units to join your side.

@@Tucher97 dude, aom is a mythological game where fricking atlanteans fight in troy, egypt and in norse territory, it doesnt need to be 100% historically accurate. I mean the part where norse cavalry aided chiron (a centaur) to fight agaisnt egyptians wasnt very accurate either. The campaign is full of examples like these
Putting them all side by side just shows how little effort they put into creating the Chinese culture in comparison to the other cultures. The Chinese music sucks in comparison to the others and the cinematic isn't very well coordinated or timed. The music finishes long before the actual cinematic and they make the camera just sit there for ages watching that one boring fight.
Hijynks on my game it's even worse. All three fights take for AGES during the cinematic and they didn't speed up the building animation! Honestly this was five times shorter by comparison.
Is that in terms of factions or cinematic?

Well that age thing was originally my idea for the Chinese but they went with Gardens :) but I think maybe the age thing could be for a different civilization seeing as how India had livestock to generate experience in Age of Empires 3 :) its a winning formula so why change it?
What I really want for Age of Empires the remake is that Town Centres should go up drastically in price per one you build but should also expand as a city rather than just stay as a town centre.
In the Stone Age they should provide a trickle of food, in the tool age add on a trickle of wood, in the bronze age add on a trickle of stone and in the Iron age add on a trickle of Gold.
In age of mythology, the Heroic Age should do Gold instead of stone (unless they decide to bring back stone) and the Mythic age should add favour and the Titan Age should add a bit more of everything.
It goes without saying that the patches should get rid of the need for drop sites. If drop sites are to remain, they should just be augmenters of how fast villagers gather resources but the villagers should just put them into the stock pile without walking back.
That and Caravans should automatically trade between town centres and should automatically heal and replace themselves albeit slowly and have a limit of one per possible trade route.
This should be the case for all the games

the chinese have relative weak human units, only a vast cavaldry, but his mythic units are overpowered, and th garden is very OP also
i think the gardens are made up for their weak army... i mean even with mass cavalry, their cavalry are weaker IMO...

My favourite civs are Greeks and Egyptians
I used to play AOM so much in 2003. However, I've never seen the atlanteans or chinese as playable civilizations (only atlanteans in campaign, but it was actually greek). MIss it too much.
The atlanteans are from the addon and the chinese are a dlc for the steam version i believe
