I have nothing but respect for this man, ended up in Hel, and yet even though he died in battle and no Valkyrie came to help him to Valhalla, he had the perseverance to walk there himself. What a mad lad and he certainly earned his spot in Valhalla. Traveling literally from the bottom to the top of the World tree is no minor feat and the gods should be happy to have a man like him
@AOM Visions Got to say you've done excellent here expanding the scale of the mythos and the world at large with your visual stories. I wonder if all of us are lucky enough to have our own journey like the cinematic you have shared when our times come up. I know these concepts are deemed as mythology but sometimes you just got to wonder.
@@stephenjonathan1034 Unfortunately, no. Despite progress (already got the prologue and a few journey scenes done) I've not completed the project; work schedule hasn't helped either... best to dig in and and not rush it. I look forward to exploring the many aspects of the game, including civilizations, god powers, units, music, and themes (eg, economy, warfare, etc).
I really like AoM, and I love your interpretations of the Nine Worlds. So, we've got Midgard (0:01), Niflheim (1:15), Muspellheim (2:06), Jotunheim (2:22), Nidavellir/Svartalfheim (2:43), Alfheim (3:08), Vanaheim (somewhere around 3:54 ?), and then Asgard (4:25). Am I missing one?
I really love how you make bridges. And my favourite scene was inside the dwarves' caves when Prometheus appears from the dark. Using the game's own illumination system to make a really gorgeous scene was genious!
I dont care how dated the graphics are, and the fact the game has weird things happening to me when I run it on Windows 10. AoM hands down to me will always be the best Age of Empires game, and it warms to see people are still passionate about the game today!
Guy at 0:38, this is so well done! And hilarious! Not to mention all the eyecandy and design tricks that were used in that video. I feel both humbled but daunted to say that still shots of this cinematic would hands down rival the decades of screenshot competition entries here at AoMH. Wow, this is incredible! So creative, and everything feels like it has an epic scale. So cool to see all the myth units and Titans used so creatively. I particularly liked the part with the Norse Titan barely visible in the distant mountains, and all the giants. So cool. Brings back the magic and mythology this game had when I was a kid.
