Impressive stuff from the Welsh bloke 😁 ...Impact vest, moving the hand and smaller sail all helped in stomping his first forward loop.

Background: 'Some Welsh Bloke' (Emyr Meek) sent me a message the other week asking if he could use our footage for a video project he was doing to motivate himself to do the 'Forward Loop' this Summer.
I, of course, said YES... and offered to help him out with a bit of online coaching... with one catch... we take the pressure to the next level by putting it on the channel!
He said YES... and the 'Some Welsh Bloke' series was born!

I like that new kind of show featuring normal guys sailing with some classic quiver and try their best. Well done mates!
Those forward loops were enjoyable to watch and the commentary on the same was amusing also.
Definitely the board shape and ones practice and experience in performing the loops determines your abilities to perform them, although unexpected occurrences in both the wind and wave conditions have an effect on the results also.

getting the front hand closer to the harness lines also helped me a lot. Might even have been the key my first successful attempts so +10 to that!
