A seminal album and a core memory for me. Heard “Loaded/Come Together” on the radio and rushed that day to get the album. It changed the game. Nobody was mixing Stonesy piano/guitar riffs with gospel and madchester druggie vibes. “Higher than the Sun” will send you into space. Great memories and an album that stays with me as the years go by. Lil fun fact…Bobby was the drummer for the Jesus & Mary Chain in their early days. He was pulling double duty as the drummer and lead in the fledgling Primal Scream band as they were searching for their sound. “I’m Losing More than I’ve Ever Had” was a turning point for them and the rest is music history. Kisses, boo.
Hi. Just discovered your channel today due to 'Lip Up Fatty' - enjoyed your reaction and have watched a few others. I noticed you were based in Canada and funnily enough, although I'm from (and live in) England, I have seen two Canadian bands this year. Last month I saw Crash Test Dummies (who I'm sure you're familiar with but if not check out 'Overachiever') and a few months earlier, a lesser known band called Crack Cloud - which was one of the best gigs I've been to in decades (and I've been to quite a few). I recommend checking out a track called 'Blue Kite' from their latest album (there is a music video and also a good live version in Sweden which is filmed from the audience - variable audio quality but gives a sense of their intensity when performing live - particularly the drummer/lead vocalist).
my ex flat mate Toby played on this, he was the drummer. He was a nice bloke. Think he's called Toby on this, also known as Toby Tamanov. I went to stay in Canada, when I came back heard his girlfriend Liz had thrown out my possessions.
I know this song well and I'm not going to listen to it because Bobby Gillespie's vocals are painful to my ears. He has to be the least talented singer of any major band, making Ian Brown sound like Pavarotti. Completely unable to hit the right note and hold a tune. It's a shame because Primal Scream's music is often very good.
An absolute classic of its era, still sounds so uplifting and powerful today !! 🇬🇧
The Andrew Weatherall produced version of 'Come Together' is truly transcendent. Would love to see your reaction

If this was twice as long, it could have been a Rolling Stones track :)

Hope this jollity will be maintained in the festive season. Wonder what Morrissey track is full of glee…tomorrow might be a challenge 😅
Denise Johnson on backing vocals ❤
Great video! Would love a reaction to Chad VanGaalen's song "Clinically dead" it's personally one of my favorites

What the hell, Liz?

I'd describe him more as a below average singer, singing below average songs in a below average band. One of the most overrated bands of the era.
So do you like his voice or not!? 😂
