It adds the slow progression specially if youre on smp. Transporting items may take half an hour from city to city if you guys do mega build or city builds. It enhances the apprecation on terrain generation as well.
I can see this mod being good for those extreme builders who want to build some very large, realistic looking structures but don't want to craft crazy terrain to go along with it. Solves a little bit of the problem maybe. It could also be alright if you had some extra mods on top like way points and more generated structures, but I still think I'd prefer to use something smaller like terralith
this guy should make a video about alternatives to some of the old mods he showed like dynamic surroundings, quality sounds, and serious player animations
This is one of the best terrain generation mods out there. I created a survival world with this a few months ago and have been playing on it ever since. Unfortunately, the chunk loading times are terrible. It took almost 3 days to load all of the chunks in a 4096x4096 chunk radius.
This mod with big world would be INSANE! Endless going down, endless going up. I cant wait for someone to expand this, make it so at a certain distance you loop to the other side of the world.
Been playing Minecraft on and off since I was a kid and got the game right when 1.2.5 dropped, love seeing people still push the game to its technical limits 15 years after release.
Finally, a terrain mod that's actually decently realistic that isnt just a copy of earth itself. It really LOOKS like something that would be on earth somewhere, which imo is how terrain should be. Would I play using this mod though? Not a chance
Now imagine... Big Globe or JJThunder or another mod like this, with dynamic trees, seasons, weathering, temperature, thirst, cold caves that might collapse on you, plenty of wildlife, and a mod that adds slabs and stairs to terrain generation to make the terrain smoother... It would make a nasa computer explode, but for the 5 seconds of gameplay I think it might be worth it
Java modding is getting more insane than I could've ever imagined. First, people basically make full-on games in it with custom models and mechanics. Next is RT/PT shaders that looked way better than any official RT in any game. After that we got realistic physics in this game. And now we're getting 1 to 1 scale world compared to a rela one thanks to DH mod.
Finally somebody mentioned this mod, i was thinking it was a virus after i saw no reviews and my top tier cpu shooting to 99 degrees when i joined. If possible it would be cool if you could give us the world download so we dont have to load the chunks but i expect the world file is probably 10gb.
it’s so beautiful, the scale is incredible. The distances and stuff are a hassle but also kind of realistic, a giant mountain is an incredible obstacle in real life, and travel before motorisation obviously took days, weeks, and months. A railway in these environments would be amazing. Maybe a mod that adds abandoned railways would help with travel, since you can repair and connect up some existing tracks instead of crafting 10,000 and walking all that way
It is still in beta though, and unstable. Maybe we'll see it when it is released! It looks interesting. Idk if this mod in the video is too, but anyway
Mods like this kind of remind me of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. Cause Daggerfall's map is absolutely massive, like it takes actual hours, maybe days, to travel between different cities and locations. Mods for Minecraft that makes the world massive like this just kinda reminds me of that, cause it's hard to believe you'd get anywhere in decent time without some kind of transportation mod like you mentioned

This mod is perfect for something like Valkyrie skies. Fly in your airship with the lads to find distant ores and resources.
2:02 shaders useed?
Bliss shaders
This is one of the best terrain generation mods out there. I created a survival world with this a few months ago and have been playing on it ever since.
Unfortunately, the chunk loading times are terrible. It took almost 3 days to load all of the chunks in a 4096x4096 chunk radius.
this is probably the coolest mod I will never play
Normal Computer: 💀
NASA Computer: 🔥🔥🎇🔥🔥💀
You know what else is massive?
This mod with big world would be INSANE! Endless going down, endless going up. I cant wait for someone to expand this, make it so at a certain distance you loop to the other side of the world.
Been playing Minecraft on and off since I was a kid and got the game right when 1.2.5 dropped, love seeing people still push the game to its technical limits 15 years after release.
This is insane, can we have a video of more cinematic footage from this mod?
3:06 Undertale
I've always wanted LOTR-esque mythical mountains in minecraft
This is the most early I've ever been
Me too lol
every day i wait for create aeronautics to be complete so i can make a giant airship and travel a world like this with dragons and dungeons

This... is a bucket
Your one of my favorite youtubers literally get onto youtube just to see if you uploaded ❤❤❤!!
Finally, a terrain mod that's actually decently realistic that isnt just a copy of earth itself. It really LOOKS like something that would be on earth somewhere, which imo is how terrain should be.
Would I play using this mod though? Not a chance
What a beautiful place for a industry district 😊
It actually CAN be a good excuse to make transport mods more valanced
If we can get a mod that turns ur house into like a howls moving castle, it would be such a vibe to play minecraft with the big biomes.
This needs to be paired with a space mod that lets you leave the planet seamlessly.
It would make a nasa computer explode, but for the 5 seconds of gameplay I think it might be worth it
imagine one day dh and iris can manage to have real time rendering speed on this terrain generation mod
On the one hand, this is really cool. On the other hand, my computer is already overheating at the idea of this.
Horses are finally worth using
Finally somebody mentioned this mod, i was thinking it was a virus after i saw no reviews and my top tier cpu shooting to 99 degrees when i joined. If possible it would be cool if you could give us the world download so we dont have to load the chunks but i expect the world file is probably 10gb.
Looks like one of those 'cool to look at, impossible/impractical to actually play it' mods.
Technically impressive but would be an absolute nightmare to play with.
This is the dream we were all wanting with DH2!! I am so happy we are here!
Most normal Hermitcraft starter base terraforming
the funny thing that still shocks me is, IT LOADED CHUNKS FOR U
this needs to be on the best mods tier list at the end of the year
1:28 Pretty close to temprature of your pc when you download this mod
it’s so beautiful, the scale is incredible. The distances and stuff are a hassle but also kind of realistic, a giant mountain is an incredible obstacle in real life, and travel before motorisation obviously took days, weeks, and months. A railway in these environments would be amazing. Maybe a mod that adds abandoned railways would help with travel, since you can repair and connect up some existing tracks instead of crafting 10,000 and walking all that way
Imagine this, with 10-20 more years of computer tech advancements, and the same level of insanity/realism in the caves/underground. 🙃
Terrain Generation Mods are one of the coolest things ever
All I can think about when watching these videos is how insane the builds could potentially be.
This video alone shows the billions of possibilities in the game that are left undiscovered
this mod plus that one cool elytra mod you bring up every second of every day that I still dont know the name of is perfect
Looks like if we want to get any crazier with terrain we might have to rewrite the block/chunk rendering system entirely.
I'm sad reterraforged isn't more seen, it looks beautiful with distant horizons and shaders, also really customizable
It is still in beta though, and unstable. Maybe we'll see it when it is released! It looks interesting.
Idk if this mod in the video is too, but anyway
now i want someone to play minecraft with all terrain generation mod with maxed out all settings
Beautiful music choice for this video
Mods like this kind of remind me of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. Cause Daggerfall's map is absolutely massive, like it takes actual hours, maybe days, to travel between different cities and locations. Mods for Minecraft that makes the world massive like this just kinda reminds me of that, cause it's hard to believe you'd get anywhere in decent time without some kind of transportation mod like you mentioned
