This is one of those patterns that I probably would've not chosen until I saw your makes. Your dresses are so cute! Love them all, but especially the one you're wearing. 🧵jacque🧵
I love the dresses!!!! Probably never would have bought the pattern but seeing it on you really brings it to life. But I’m not having any luck hunting one down.
Your happy dress made me so happy too, that I had to make it! Just bought pattern on Etsy and found twin sheet on EBay. I’m a bit north of you in Tampa Bay Area. Wish we were closer, cause I know we would be sewing buds! Lol your channel is great and have been binge watching you. Take care ❤ thanks for all your inspiration!
I have had this pattern several years. Never made it since I couldn't decide what fabric to use. You have inspired me to get busy making a summer dress out of this pattern. Thanks for the pattern review showing not only current patterns but older patterns as well. You are such an inspiration. Thank you and God bless you.
OH YAY!!!! I have 2 of these patterns! Had been wondering what pattern you used for your "Happy Dress", because it's just so cheerful. Didn't realize it had a little belt piece on the front and back. Love the trim idea! Your lavender print fabric is BEAUTIFUL!!! Will put a pocket template in with the pattern. Can't wait to make. (In the process of packing for a move. Will have to wait a while to make.) Thanks, Jen! Great pattern review!!! 🥰
@@cathykieser53 My records say that I should have 2 of these patterns, but only one in my box. I'll take another look. If I find it, I'd be more than happy to sell you one of them. Stay tuned.
Such pretty, comfy dresses, love them all. You are so good at making different looks from one and the same pattern and you're always so positive and friendly. Your videos are a joy to watch.
I forgot to add: Love your channel because you use both current and oiut-of-print patterns for your makes and reviews. Thank you so much for that!!! 🙏🏼
Love those dresses 😮. Just beautiful on you. Can’t get this pattern in the UK so if you could demonstrate something similar with a current pattern that would be wonderful. Thank you so much. 🙏
I like the way you model your clothes. It’s not jumping around and swinging the skirt so much we can’t even see how it lays. You model nice and turn so we can see front and back!
You now have 3 happy dresses, amazing!! I love each one and they just fit you so well 💃🏻. Definitely a great pattern to have in your life so now I need to track down one! Thanks for sharing your joyful dresses 👏🏼😘xx
I love all 3 dresses. Wish I could find patterned sheets like that here in my Goodwill store. When I go looking they are all so drab looking. Just beautiful
I never have great luck at Goodwill. Salvation Army is the place with the nice ones, around where I live. You might try a different thrift store and see how you fare.
Is there a new pattern that is similar to this dress? So nice to see you on a Tuesday.🥰 I made THE Simplicity pattern and didn’t staystitch the skirt. It doesn’t hang right so….stitch ripper and I have a date. Going to remove the skirt and redo the seams. Fingers crossed it will hang right. It’s a wearable muslin out of quilting cotton.
I couldn't find anything similar. But if you have a basic princess seamed top or dress, it's just a matter of separating the center front into a top bodice and a bottom skirt, then double the width of the bottom and gather it into the top. There might be an indie pattern dupe for this but I haven't found it yet.
They are all so pretty & so feminine looking. I want my next project to be a dress. I haven’t tried a dress yet. I just finished padding out the top part of my mannequin. Boy what a job! Hopefully it will help me with fitting & seeing what looks good on me. I’ve tried several of my tops & they all fit wonderfully on it.
Hi from Alberta, Canada. Great summer dresses! I've been struggling to get my sew-jo back. Thanks for the inspiration. Maybe I will work on my sundress I've had cut out for a while, now. You'd love the tropical print.
Jen, I love this on you! I can’t find the pattern online though!!! Any idea what current pattern would be similar??? I have looked on Amazon, eBay, Etsy, etc. thank you!!!
Jen, you look like a movie star in all 3 dresses!! Beautiful! Is there a band in the back as well as the front? I couldn't tell. Do you think this would work in a lightweight chambray? Thanks for sharing with us. 😊
Hello from Manitoba Canada. Your dresses are so pretty. You have me ready to let the pants go for summer. My question is for the Easy Hacks for Project Dress A Girl. I must say the lined bodice is brilliant. I am ready to attach the skirt but unsure how to go about it. Do I attach the skirt to the outside bodice? What about the bodice lining? Did you press up the hem of the bodice lining then hand stitch to the outside bodice to cover the seam?
Love the dresses. Great shape because it has gathers but not at the sides which are very unflattering on most people in my view. I think this just may just be your new 8640? 😅
I love the fact you wear your dresses with sneakers. It gives a more casual look. As a result of a health condition I cannot wear any kind of heel anymore because it throws me off balance.
I've looked high and low for a loose fitting princess seamed pattern but can't find one - which is why I haven't made a video talking about this. But here's the gist of it: you can use any pattern that has basic princess seams and fits somewhat loosely. The basic "hack" (or adaptation) is simply to cut the center front bodice at the waistline so you have a separate bodice and skirt. Then double the width of the skirt. Gather it onto the bodice, then there you go. You've got this dress. I wish I could direct you to a specific pattern, but I couldn't find anything loose fitting enough in a woven. It would work with a knit, though, as long as it wouldn't distort out of shape.
I love your dresses! I have that pattern in my stash, now I really want to make it. Could I please ask you, do you underline your dresses, or just wear a slip? And if it’s a slip, do you make your own? Btw, I love your channel.
Hi Patti! I never underline, just wear a slip if needed. And I only have half slips in my drawer, so if I need a full one I just make due by adding a cami.
Thank you for your review of this dress! It was great. I also love the ease and style of the dress and I too would add side pockets. I wonder if you could alter the belt ever so slightly by adding a casing elastic belt through the front and back attacked belt segments to give the dress a little more definition at the waist but still allow for ease to not use “closures” of any type.
If you'd like do this with a current pattern, just let me know and I can show you how. Enjoy!
I would love to know how at this point .
I would love to know as well
I knew this pattern looked familiar, it's pretty close to the Celeste Dress by itch to stitch
@@cathykieser53 Similar idea but this one is way easier. I’m trying to find something that would work that’s in print right now
please. I can’t find pattern
Lovely dresses, they are all fab. It is so nice when you find a pattern that you like to make again and again.
Beautiful dresses! I love your sweet prayer cards too.

I hope you find it, I just tried buying one online and it had to get cancelled because the lady is moving.
Thank you! Super cute and classic!
Very lovely! Looks so breezy and comfy, my kind of summer wear! 😊. ❤

Love the idea of using sheets! New subscriber here!
Welcome!
I am always looking for cute sheets in my thrift store but have never found one as adorable as the pink hearts you have. Great dresses!
Jen, Love the dresses! great way to recycle! (You have prettier sheets in Florida than Nebraska!)
Love it, Jen. My kind of dress. I think I may have this pattern. 😘💗
Would you be able to trace the pattern and send it to me, I'd pay for it
Great video!!! Great dress!!!
All your dresses are beautiful, the heart dress is super cute. That pattern is definitely a TNT for you.
I like the way you model your clothes. It’s not jumping around and swinging the skirt so much we can’t even see how it lays. You model nice and turn so we can see front and back!
I love this pattern, hi from Texas
Awesome dresses, Jen. I especially like the one you were wearing. It's lovely and you look lovely wearing it.
Three beautiful dresses!💕

thank you for this review. I will be trying to find this.
You look so good in this dress. Perfect summer dressing!
Love these so much! I really like the details like the “belt” and buttons and yet it’s really simple. All 3 look amazing on you! 💞

A perfect comfy pretty dress

Yes it would absolutely work in a chambray. That sounds so nice, the way chambray is soft and feels lived in.

Will definitely try to make if available. Looks cute😮
I need this dress!
I'm working on adapting a pattern that's currently available, but I'm having trouble finding one. But it's in the works!
I love the fact you wear your dresses with sneakers. It gives a more casual look. As a result of a health condition I cannot wear any kind of heel anymore because it throws me off balance.
Same - I have trouble with narrow heels, especially on pumps. It's kitten heels and low wedges for us both - and always, always tennis shoes!
Pink hearts is pretty
I love this pattern, which pattern would be close to this design, I'd love to know, please share

Could you please tell me what year the McCalls 7757 pattern is? have been looking but can’t seem to find it
Hi Jen, still love your videos. Is the floral dress the one you had on during the expo? Also, love your hair color! Gail
Hey Gail! Yes, that's the dress I wore when everyone gathered at the airbnb for dinner. It's what I'm wearing in the videos from that.
I made this dress in my size and it drowned me. It’s real pretty but I’m going to make it a size smaller.
I agree - it is cut big. I made my size (the heart one) and it was too big. Sizing down really helped.
