Vlodimir was my favorite character, was sad when O'Dimm banished him. He'd have made for a great companion that would weigh in occasionally and force Geralt to have a bit of fun.
Megakoresh not really. Infact, I don't like it. Not the actor, but the way he speaks, ALWAYS speak in a grindy quiet tone. Kinda like Lena Headey from GOT
But the point is that Geralt has difficulty expressing his emotions due to the mutations and the english voice actor perfectly executes this. He is supposed to sound like that in my opinion. No offence to the polish voice actor whatsoever i think he's great just doesn't fit for Geralt in my opinion.
Reminds me of that scene from Game of Thrones... Tormund Giantsbane: "You're the one they call the dog" Sandor Clegane: "Fuck Off" (Edit: Someone already beat me to it in the comments, RIP).
Same, didn't even feel like it was the wrong choice, usually when I role play I choose what's the best stuff, but I choose to protect my dignity, my sweet bad ass and my friends so these choices feel really natural to me
When I hear how bad ass Geralt is, I'm regreting those momments when I behaved politely...no one should mess with Geralt :D...but that little godling is too cute to be rude :D
Yea, dissed the Werewolf who wanted to be a sidekick. :D I kinda felt bad for killing so many werewolf after that. They were better than humans of witcher world.
Angry Geralt is terrifying. Its one thing for someone to shout and bluster when they’re angry but when a man calmly and evenly explains that he’s going to cut you up if you annoy him again, thats a whole different type of scary.
We’ve never actually seen geralt go all out cuz he’s just lost his shit like Peter when he fights Kraven in spiderman 2 or Kratos getting his revenge on Zeus geralt is always somehow calm even in dire situations which makes him a shit ton scarier especially for people like the barons men
This was actually very enjoyable to watch, I didn't see many of these lines in my many playthroughs. The line against Whoreson Junior would be fun to use in customer service.
One thing that I’ve realised about geralt is that in the games we’ve never seen him go all out because of bloodlust he’s always calm even in dire situations
One of my favorites is the contract with the vampire who favors drunk victims so geralt gets drunk and yells something like "come out and fight, 🅱️itch"
I think the scariest thing you could see from a Witcher, is their calmness. Reason why, is because early on in The Witcher 3, some guy tries to get away from you by saying how there's something behind him. Which then makes Geralt tell him why that won't work on him because he's got excellent hearing, the guy's heart was beating fast, and that he's a Witcher. So a calm Witcher is a lot scarier to confront cause one lie and you'll just be dead on the spot. Witcher's are basically human lie detectors, they'll see through the bullshit and just end you.
Jeremy Morris not trying to overistimate but for me I haven't see a character that geralt remind me off...he's so unique/deep and well written that much
Me: Here Geralt have a Snickers. Geralt: Why?... Me: Cause you’re an arse-hole when you’re hangry. Geralt: *eats the Snikers* Me: Feel better? Geralt: ...Piss. Off...
Well for the fistfight I think its the good option to fight fairly and not loose on purpose. You can still talk to him after the fight and give him some coin for his family and he will be super happy.
One of the best moments I had was talking to some dwarves who committed a murder and Geralt said something like " Two things in life you should never do, kick a hornet's nest and threaten a witcher"
"Witchers are stripped of emotions." Yeaaah sure... 😂 this is exactly why he is such a great character though. It seems to me it's a defense, a lie he tells to himself or at least to others. That he is or was in fact a very sentimental person who has learned to survive by suppressing it all. Fiercely loyal and caring, prone to lose his temper. Rigid to a fault, possibly a control freak. Possibly just goddamn dead inside. He definetely seems like a person who does desicions based on his heart and values, not by his own greed and own interests. To his best ability he tries to accept his bullshit fate and act like a hero would in a rotten, broken world. That's how I always saw him. The storytelling in the game is amazing, so you can also interpret a lot. Considering the cruelty of the Witcher training it is believable that he says his emotions are dead. But that it has nothing to do with magic or mutations. Being dead inside has very little to do with not having any emotions to begin with. Fuck I love this game.
IIRC it's a myth Witchers in general perpetuate because it helps them negotiate their prices better and disincentivizes people from trying to guilt-trip them.
0:53 so bad ass line. But line after it "Only got one prick, though. In case you're wondering about that, too." I always laugh on that part so hard hahahahahahaha

Megakoresh not really. Infact, I don't like it. Not the actor, but the way he speaks, ALWAYS speak in a grindy quiet tone. Kinda like Lena Headey from GOT
Bordas Studios well you have to remember Geralt doesn't show much emotion or tone since he's a witcher he says it many times
Nuh he's great. Exactly how Geralt should sound.

Eh, for the most part. He genuinely is *murderously* angry with Whoreson Jr. and in a few other scenes.
The angriest i have seen him is in the ending in which he kills the last of the 3 Crones and looks for Ciris medallion.

the one where he is angry at Whoreson is pure badassery.
