I'm only correcting this because it was said SO MANY times: Dungeon Magic is not played from a first-person perspective. First-person perspective means that you are seeing the environment from the character's own perspective (a la first-person shooters, such as Doom). Dungeon Magic is played from an overhead, isometric, third-person perspective.
to correct your correction @thatprettybmf Dungeon Magic is just an isometric 5 oclock overhead view(slanted over to the right from 6oclock) in an almost 2.5D look. Third person perspective is reserved for 3d games where you see your character(DMC\GOW etc) so this is NOT 1st nor 3rd person. Thats All. 😊
@@ThatPrettyBMF NO. Seeing your own character is called.... a VIDEO GAME!!! lol :P 1st and 3rd person are terms used for 3d games as i specified. like a 1st person shooter you dont see yourself but your at times your weapons or arms like it is you doing these actions while 3rd person, again, is that the camera is placed BEHIND you at a certain distance and ONLY when you are moving into the screen in 3D and you see the full body. It was quite well explained in my first comment :)
Wow, you brought along a truly bunch of the gems! These titles offer so much thing I miss in the modern era - atmosphere, unique graphical style, variety of characters/enemies, crazy ideas, simple gameplay , memorable music that keeps you going on and much, much more. I could talk about them hours long. Let me only say that the powerful beatem ups like Battle Circuit, Night Slashers or Knights of the Round will be always having a special place in my heart, the heart of the gamer since the early 90s. Thanks for bringing them back and keep rocking in 2025!
loved 90s arcades , we had childrens day in our small town every year in Scotland and the shows would come and they would bring the arcade units with them and Id spend all the money id get from family members playing all the arcades, some of these are amazing moonwalker I remember playing , and played some others when i visited Canada in 94 at an amusement park. Some of these i remember from gamesmaster and wished id played them. They always seemed to be on the neo geo but could never afford it .
I've only watched a few mins and am impressed with how many cool looking games I now need to add to my cabinet. I'll be watching the rest / adding games ASAP. Thanks for the vid! Liked and Subscribed😊
Painfully so! It's the repetitive phrasing that really grates my nerves; "it's like X decided to Y", "because apparently A is B", "the best players know that the best games are the ones where..]
What a wonderful video! I can’t believe how many of these games that I have never even heard of. Thank goodness for PCs and M.A.M.E. My list of retro gold just keeps growing. I love it! Thank you so much and Happy New Year!
Thanks for making this video. I've had the Pandora arcade box for a while. It has so many games on it, and i would just play most of the classics i already knew. I just got a wall projector also. So now I'm playing all these gems just like on the big screens from back in the 90s.🤘
This is my all time favorite arcade game. Back in the days I used to finish it with only two or three credits, but always with Dora. I still play it on MAME from time to time.
I think it's crazy how SFII still looks crisp today. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the graphics were clear enough to know exactly what the fighter was doing.
That shoot em up in the beginning during your intro Hot Dog Storm really through me off the name sounded dumb but the gameplay far from dumb this is phenomenal
great vid, but did you mean to say dungeon magic is an isometric view brawler instead of a first person? and what version of guardian heroes are you playing? certainly doesn't look like the sega saturn version.
Welcome to the Dead Internet. Their "script writer" clearly doesn't comprehend that XBLA isn't an actual arcade, same way it doesn't comprehend that 1994's *Dungeon Magic* (aka *Light Bringer*) is not the same game as 1989's *Dungeon Magic: Sword of the Elements* (which is a first person game, in the vein of *Dungeon Master* or *Eye of the Beholder*). Both would have been picked up in seconds a human bothered to check.
Before ai content was making arcade compilations there was actual human beings. AI is like if emptiness and soullessness had a baby. Sometimes the best arcade compilations are made by actual humans and not souless ai that leaves you feeling no emotion after the video
Are you talking about AI making full games? The reason is I know we haven't quite reached that point, however, I know games that have been released have pieces of it in them. They're definitely not as good as human creation, but I don't think I have actually played a game where AI is relied heavily on personally for a lot of the heavy lifting. I never played many arcade games in the past but I definitely remember having some fun with the TMNT and Simpsons beat'em up arcade games that came out.
"How did I miss this?" It's as simple as the games never having a cabinet in any of the arcades I went to. Back then there were far too many games to have them all get attention, nevermind if they were even around to be ignored in the first place. 😄👍
If it wasn't for AVGN, I would have never known "Ninja Baseball Batman"! Also capcom developed another little nemo arcade game other than the NES game which after all these years, I never knew existed!
Man, what happened? Im at the 1:10:00 mark and ive found three reviews so far that were just the entirely wrong game. You showed Dungeon Magic but described Crossed Swords, you showed Biomechamical Toy buy described maybe Devil Crush? And you showed video from one of the dungeons and dragons games calling it something else entirely. What....why?
I am seriously wondering how Ninja Baseball Batman didn't make it in the U.S. Especially back in the early 1990's I would've played the tar out of that game. When I played this 3 years ago I was... Wuuuut? How did I miss this back then???? Only 50 units? What the heck man?
I just love these games. I sure do miss when games was made for fun from the art to the sounds. Gaming doesn't hit the same spot anymore....still good but not special
The Dungeon Magic/Lightbringer review seems to combine and confuse elements of that game with Dungeon Magic: Sword of the Elements for NES. If I’m wrong and there is a first person dungeon game for arcades let me know!
"In looked at and in order to make . In you do in a way that would make blush, and , . However, because this game never got an audience. But the real ones know that the best games are the games where you ." Every one of these entries are like this. No, the Outfoxies doesn't have playable Dolphins, they meant the twins. No, Dungeon Magic isn't in first person. Seriously, you got footage from the games (unless you stole it, which I wouldn't be surprised), why didn't you spend time to actually compile your thoughts instead of relying on chatGPT?
@@Tatulak ahh ok ok, I thought you ment the games, I was a bit sleepy when I replied. Guess I'm not going to get that list with Time stamps now 😔 i was born 87 I would love some of these emulated.

Haha so it wasn’t just me irritated by this 😂
That wasn't the only wrong description of a game.

the dungeons and dragons arcade beat em up games were some of the absolute best that capcom ever made

I really do miss playing N64 in the 90s a youngster.

Was this written by AI? I've caught mistakes in almost every entry in the first 30 minutes. 🤷♂️

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME VIDEO MARVELOUS GAMERS!!! so good! apart from that correction about Dungeon Magic ❤ PLEASE DO MORE!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I would add "Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder"

I suspect its Xbox Live Arcade which is not really an arcade... misleading

What’s that soundtrack playing during the Dungeon Magic gameplay? Sounds like a banger
Other great arcade games like Golden Axe and streets of rage they have been forgotten to
Excellent vid!!!!

Great Timestamps!!
Legends like "Cho-say Chen-sekko".
Great list.
Many mistakes game type descriptions though.
Also approximately 45 minutes in voice program glitches . Might need to edit 🤔
how many times is he gonna say, "Sometimes the best games are the ones who....." or some variation thus lol

Sometimes the best games....are not the best.
John Mcclane had an arcade game in the 90s.. Die Hard Arcade. was a thing
42:16 my favorie Beat Em Up
Time travelers was highly underated
This list lacks some good rail shooters like Mad Dog Mc Cree, House of the Dead, Time Crisis,...
if sunset riders isnt on this list im thumbs downing the video
More than half of these games were NOT "underrated" at all.
Some are still popular to this day.
So stop throwing that word around
Voiceover for Dungeon Magic (30:43) says it's a First Person Dungeon Crawler. It's absolutely not First Person -- you may have used the wrong script;
Yes, 31:00, the FIRST PERSON view is so good, it really can not get closer.
I swear this vid was so bland and full of mistakes, it must be made by AI.
Steel force is indoubtably inspired by Alien Breed
Guardian Heroes was an arcade game?
So basically Monster Maulers and Red Earth are the same concept?
Anybody's guess how many of these run on MISTer FPGA?
Guardian heroes is not an arcade game
"CHO SAY Conseco"

My thoughts exactly. The redundant metaphors are especially nauseating.
Knights of the Round wasn't underrated at all.
A well known well loved arcade hero.
Outfoxies🗿🗿
Moonwalker did not age well. My god.
Would you say the narrator uses Hyperboles, similes, idioms, or metaphors the most?
Virtua Fighter is underrated?
Does anyone have this collection for easy download? pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee
First person, I do not think that means what you think it means....

I'm sorry the marvel fighting game didn't needed to be added. That game looks so bad. As bad as the street fighter movie fighting game.
