That is way more difficult to perform, technically, than ANY of your favorite rock solos that you might think you can come up with. Eruption? Please. That Yngwie solo you've been working for 2 years? i think there must be a name for this, when some kind of art is more attractive for those who perform and know more about that especific art rather than the general public, like music for guitarrists or comedy for comedians

@@yuridolka Pretty much everything is that way, fighting, music, driving, shooting, the more you know about something the more you can understand the skill of those that do it.
Listened to this several times a day in college when it was first released, it made me want to play guitar, and also made me realize that I'll never be able to! lol
Idk about Randy though. He's got some very rythmically difficult stuff in his songs that you really have to listen for.
That's crazy! That show's that if you think your technique is good on electric with all of the effects, you don't know until you try that stuff on acoustic.
His technique is amazing! So clean!
Whenever I listen to this amazing song, I cannot help recalling their live in 1992. Then he always plays the intro of "More than words".

I have seen him play this live many times, first memory of it was at the PPAC many moons ago..won the tickets from HJY including VIP pass to be at the practice before the show. Nuno is an amazing, talented, musician.. his skills have no boundaries, as I've also witnessed him wail on the drums.. this kids got it all.
I saw him play this on Extreme's 3rd album tour. It was the single most amazing "I can't believe I just saw that" guitar experience I have ever had. I have scene them all from the Eddie era. Vai, Satch,I can't name them all here. This was the biggest chills up and down the arms thrill ever. You guitarists know what I mean.
and he still has it, saw them at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London, invited my guitarist friend Tony, he was blown away by seeing him play this and other songs!

It's the magic of Harmony! I'm pretty sure that he may be able to write a completely different piece using the same chord progressions

Nuno got a lot of attention for the last album release. It is an incredible guitarist, probably one of the best. Have the pleasure of meeting him twice, and he's very humble. But the great ones usually are.

This is one of the songs that inspired me to play guitar as a kid. Nuno's passion just amazed me growing up and really threw fuel on the love of music fire that was growing inside me. I would not feel the same way I feel about music today if it weren't for musicians like Nuno.

Nuno certainly has chops as well. Most people don't even know who he is. Extreme's #1 hit More Than Words clouds his other work. Most people don't even know that this is the guy that had that smash hit. I know he's pushed my to my limits on guitar. Back in the day in guitar mags he was featured on covers and known as "Numero Uno." Tommy and Nuno both have sick chops but different styles. Keep rocking!

Yes. Extreme is back! The album was recorded in october, and Nuno is finishing it in his studio. The old drummer (I dont know then name) still with the band, but as manager.
Most of the hard rock bands are back, seems like the guitar solos are being ressurrected.

Excellent,awesome!Original and interesting acoustic instrumental piece.Nuno has a perfect tempo and technique.But there is one problem with this song:low string tension,I´m talking about guitar tuning.It´s pratically impossible to be tuned with these conditions,but that´s the grace of this song.Nuno is a genius.He´s a great guitarrist,pianist and composer.Sorry about my bad english.

Reet,I've been listening tae music since 1958,Bill Haley & the Comets was probably my first introduction in the music industry.
Saw Clapton at The Albert Hall farewell gig in '68 (Rory G played with Taste that night as did Yes).
I never quite managed tae see the master himself but did meet his dad Al in Seattle,however,if you can't see class when it stares you right between the eyes then you never will,nuff said.

I've read a lot of Nuno articles. He's actually said that if you want to be good, play your riff on acoustic before electric. Then, when you pick up the electric, the strings are like butter. I actually was kinda like you. I used to play the bluesy stuff and stick around the pentatonic scales in my earlier years. Why? Because it sounds great. I still love blues musicians like Stevie, etc. It was about 10 years ago that I really upped my game. Nuno's more electric, but he can certainly wail on ac

@garghot I'm not quite sure, but I think it is the Washburn SBF-80 B. It's the semi-acoustic version of the already amplified acoustic guitar Washburn EA-20MB, which he uses in the 'More Than Words videoclip', for example.
