Such a unique style - no-one sounds like Nuno. I think a lot of his rhythmic style comes from his Portuguese heritage, there's always that funky phrasing there.
I’m Portuguese and I don’t hear any Portuguese heritage whatsoever in this piece. There’s some danceable popular music here but nothing that even remotely resembles this. The most famous Portuguese style, Fado, is very “floaty” rhythmically, mostly the players follow the singer. Midnight Express sounds more like American derived music by far. Some funk in there, a bit fusiony but above all an inevitable time feel. Love Nuno since 1990!
Nuno. He's got that thing. Rhythm & Groove. Endless chops. Effortless movement within the meter. Incredible right hand technique. Heck, he even sings like a bird. Love this guy. Top 5 of all time. Try playing Cupid's Dead. Try.
Man....being a drummer first and then picking up the guitar second in life I can completely relate to how Nuno employs rhythm to the guitar. It's one thing to be an amazing rhythm player, have ridiculous speed and accuracy, control, timing, all of it - but beyond that he's an incredible writer as well. And as a guitar player growing up in the 80's, I can say he's never been underrated one bit - one of the best and most unique in rock/metal ever.
I love Nuno, I listen to Extreme II - Pornograffitti at least once a month, probably more. I also have the debut, III Sides To Every Story and Waiting For The Punchline, but I must say that Pornograffitti is just crushingly perfect. I know that some people state that his rhythm playing is what sets him apart, including the ever-so-present fills he does all over, but I think that his sense of melody and rhythm when it comes to soloing is also immaculate. I just love what he's brought to us!

I had never heard him until Beato. Wow. How did I miss this.
I don’t think I could have remained seated in that auditorium!!
I got to witness an earlier incarnation of this at a show in the early nineties. It's evolved so much since then.
I've seen him play this song twice in person in the last few years, and he didn't seem to miss a note. Spellbinding!
I am a fan already this is great guitar
I love Nuno, I listen to Extreme II - Pornograffitti at least once a month, probably more. I also have the debut, III Sides To Every Story and Waiting For The Punchline, but I must say that Pornograffitti is just crushingly perfect.
I know that some people state that his rhythm playing is what sets him apart, including the ever-so-present fills he does all over, but I think that his sense of melody and rhythm when it comes to soloing is also immaculate. I just love what he's brought to us!
Nuno is a Beast! 🤯A freakin Legend! 🤘
Check out Flight of the Wounded Bumblebee. I think he does this live in same concert you just watched. It's amazing. Also, another amazing acoustic guitar song is Run Across Desert Sands - Steve Stevens
Hi Michael. Do me a favor and type Ren - Hi Ren into your RUclips search bar. I promise you you will not see a more mesmerizing performance. Brutally honest and truly mesmerizing. I was dumbfounded the first time I watched it.
Nuno's one of the very best to ever wield the axe! \m/
This tone is so good!
I’m sure this has been mentioned on many comments - would love for you to reaction / review the artist Plini - “Electric Sunrise” or “I’ll Tell you Someday” or any of his songs 😂
